New Year’s Eve Prompts 🎆

Their friends dare them to kiss a stranger at midnight and they are just tipsy enough to actually do it.

The party was great but now it’s time to find their way home, in the middle of the night in the freezing cold in high heels and a party dress.

Learning other people’s weird New Year’s Eve tradition is always fascinating but not always fun. 

At first they thought it was the firework but then the knocks on the door became louder.

She never thought watching billions of Euros going up in colorful flames and loud noises could be this romantic.

They were so distracted, they even missed the clock striking midnight.

It’s the morning after a wild New Year’s Eve party and there are quite a few regrets.

Spending the New Year’s Eve on a boat and watching the fireworks go off on the shore is a once in a lifetime experience.

With the pandemic, New Year’s Eve parties have to be a little different this year.

It’s a couple minutes after midnight and there were already a couple resolutions broken.

When the new neighbor tests their firework a few days early, she wants to protest. But they are kinda cute.

My 90yr old Irish Catholic grandpa doesn’t miss with my gender. He’s never gotten my name wrong, or my pronouns, never even faltered over it.

It’s all so natural too: son, big man, young man…

We’ve never talked about it. He’s the only one who hasn’t pushed for details. He just accepted it and carried on because it’s not a huge deal.

It’s so comforting.

It's not about the subject, it's about listening and supporting someone else's passions. Everybody deserves to feel heard and seen and like their voice matters. Like their passions and interest matter. Like they matter.

My (a)sexuality

When I was 14 I thought I was asexual.

Then the horny hit and at 15/16 I got somewhat sexually active so I thought "nevermind, I was just young and without experience".

Well turns out I was right.

A few days ago (I'm 21 now, for reference) I came to the conclusion that I, in fact, do not experience sexual attraction. I still get horny and enjoy sex (for the most part) and I'm generally sex positive - all which are possible within asexuality. But I don't experience sexual attraction towards people. I can find someone aesthetically hot and even joke that I'd have sex with them, but I don't actually get aroused. Towards anyone. Actions and scenarios can get me there but people on their own? Nah.

Up until last week I didn't realise people actually got physically aroused just by seeing someone they found sexually attractive. I thought I was on the same boat as everyone but apparently not. (And that's okay.)

I had already realised I was in the ace spectrum a few months ago but I was under the wrong impression that I still experienced some degree of sexual attraction.

So yeah, I'm asexual. And if you relate to this post maybe you are too. And that's okay.

sorry for the "bad" take but i fully believe even homeless people who "aren't trying" to find housing still deserve housing. maybe things were too hard for too long for them and they gave up. maybe they just genuinely don't know where to go. maybe they're chronically ill, mentally ill and/or neurodivergent. maybe they're experiencing severe psychosis and can't "try". maybe they're having a pain flare up. maybe they're going through withdrawals, or are heavily intoxicated to cope with not knowing if they'll have a place to sleep and food to eat. you don't know. you have no clue what they're going through. they deserve to go through it in a home.

So I have an idea for a story yall

So basically, it's centered around 2 people who are soulmates and they get reincarnated a bunch of times. In some lives they meet sometimes they don't. But they never end up together, they might date, or get married, but they never die in love together. Until the last reincarnation where their souls are finally free because the string of fate finally bound them together. The different chapters will be different incarnations and they will have different narration styles. Idk. I think it'll be cool to do different genders, backgrounds, and cultures.

And the basis is that everyone has a soulmate(s) whether platonic, romantic, sexual, or a mix. And they get reincarnated as many times as it takes for them to end up together
