Pas De Deux by hatsuna sakuatsu sakusas a dancer, very touch and germ adversed, one night hes practicing in a private gym room when atsumu very loudly invades the rest of his life, sakusa slowly learns to get used to it. very well written lol the fic is like a piece of art itself as it follows sakusa inner monologues about how to go about this disruption (19k wds)

that's what you get (for waking up in vegas) by skittidyne matsuhana as the title suggests, mshn wake up in vegas, very hungover due to the previous night of being blackout drunk, they spend the rest of the day trying to figure out what happened and why tf mshn have matching wedding rings. iwaoi are there too bc we love seijoh4 antics (4.2k wds)

run rabbit run by norio bokuaka honestly have no memory of this but i know i read it at some point when i first started reading fics and this description sucks but you should still read it i think bokutos just like always accidentally breaking things from being too loud or energetic and he wants to shield akaashi from that side of him so theres like some internal conflicts there but akaashi is always assuring that he doesnt mind,, idk sorry HAHA (6.3k wds)

surfacing by meeks00 akaashi finds out his former bf is cheating on him (with bokuto) and bokuto feels bad about being “the other guy” and they end up becoming friends to lovers ands its so well written the amount of times i caught myself smiling hnghh (theres like 2 kinda drawn out smut scenes i think) very cute and also side kuroken (~46k wds)

the jacket you never returned by daisuga made me very sad :') bokuto got amnesia and doesnt remember him or akaashi ever dating (or being gay for that matter) despite everyone telling him about it and akaashi basically has to sit back and painfully watch bo live his life with other people and it made me SAD (5k wds)

Mothra by my_own_liver mm fluffy fic and wow its so cute wtf. Oikawa not a dog person but meets iwaizumi and iwas very enthusiastic dad and kinda just roughs it out for the long run bc ✨iwaizumi✨ and its very cute and ik i said that already but hNGHHH (18k wds)

the galaxy is endless (i thought we were too) by cosmogony is a pretty popular kuroken fic where kuroo has a terminal illness and um kenma kinda just has to watch him go through it. Im ngl i didnt feel sad reading this like most ppl did idk why but fair warning bc this seems to have the same effect on ppl as ial did lol (31k wds)

Even Though it All Went Wrong by plumtrees i think this is a pretty famous matsuhana one, hanamaki gets this terminal illness like his mom and its basically one of those fics where we just watch through mattsun's eyes as makki gets worse and worse and theres nothing he can do to stop it. very good fic despite me crying for like 75% of it while reading lmfao (9k wds) Why Am I Here? (and the whole 5pt collection) by reginagalaxia the first one is mainly iwaoi but the whole collection is kinda daisuga and iwaoi, starts with sugawara trying to indirectly set iwa up with oikawa the yoga instructor and kinda goes on from there with the usual scheming suga, embarrassed daichi, annoying oikawa and grumpy iwaizumi. kinda cringe sometimes but overall very cute mhm (14k, 1.2k, 2k, 6k, and 2k)

Mannequin Men by surveycorpsjean this is actually the first hq fic i ever read. dont ask lol. this is basically just p*rn with a small helping of plot lol its bokuakakurotsuki (bokuto/akaashi/kuroo/tsukishima) ive been hesitant to add it to the list but ehh why not. theyre all fashion models akaashis the newbie. oikawas there too, i mean everyone is but yk. it was actually pretty good lol i honestly dont remember how it ended bc its been like a year but i had a pretty good time reading it so. i also liked the iwaoi subplot but no spoilers here hee (76k wds)

ESPECIALLY in mcytblr, you all dont really have a huge reference to go off of. like, all of you are making art out of pictures of block men. literally. it’s completely your imagination and creativity that are giving said blocks an actual, human form. i will never understand how you take something like this:

you are all so creative and incredible. i’ve seen so much fanart floating around, and everyone’s art style and interpretation of the character/cc gives it its own unique look. you all are doing GOD’S WORK by showing your work on these websites for free. all of you are so insanely good at what you do, and the amount of time you spend on your art is evident by its quality.

passerine: i have never cried this much over fiction. ever. it is beautiful, it is painful, it’ll stab you and then twist the tagger. tws: depictions of violence, death, grief and panic attacks (nothing too graphic tho, and there’s cws at the beginning of every chapter too)

adagio: sbi family dynamic + clingyduo. what more could you ask for. absolutely incredible. cw for major character death (but it’s up for interpretation i cried so much /pos)

chaos in a bottle: dream smp au, absolutely incredible. i love the character development that tommy has in this fic, 1000/10 go read it rn

boy in the bubble: alr cws for bullying, child abuse, violence, alcoholism, and yeah i think that’s pretty much it but apart from that this is some incredible hurt/comfort angst with a villain that is not one dimensional and i absolutely love it 

i’m nothing but a problem, leave you crying overnight: cw for after effects of child abuse and trauma, your typical hurt/comfort fic with a shit ton of angst

if anything happens, i love you: cw for major character death, school shooting, grief and mourning; really well written. worded in such a good way, really expresses everything painfully 

multific series:

tommy’s letters: absolutely incredible. i love the plot so much and it’s illustrated in such a great way ! this is incomplete, but also a rewrite, the original fic is complete and also incredible and you can find it here

defining home: (cw for child abuse) tommy’s kicked out of his house and goes to wil’s place for comfort, and if he finds a home along the way with techno then that’s good for him :) (this is one of my absolute favourites and i would highly highly recommend it !!) 

family matters: foster au, wilbur centric, angst, hurt/comfort and just the whole sbi experience yk 

oneshots:

why are you so sad kid (well the fact is): this fic has everything you could want tbh. domestic sbi ? check. dream being a good big brother to tommy ? check. hurt/comfort ? check. cw for child abuse, read the tags before you read the fic and stay safe ilu <3

i’ll be the watcher of the eternal flame: so good. final disc confrontation au (clingyduo fics my beloved)

you’re really joking at a time like this?: cw for major character death, ranboo grieves tommy (100/10 would recommend if you can handle the pain)
