New Book Coming Out

Hey so in a few days I'll have a new book coming out. It's a sequel to my novella, Those Who Hunger In The Dark which dealt with therapy for vampires. This new one Pulling Their Skin Until It Splits is about werewolves as well as found/constructed communities in the marginalised. I had a lot of fun writing it and hope you all will enjoy the continuation of these gothic shenanigans!

Okay but that is a thing that happens pretty commonly in the disability community. Some people who are neurodivergent will parrot talking points based around savantism. I've had autistic people say that stuff to me to the point I internalised it about my own autism. Unlearning it but still said some dumb shit about it I regret.

It's a real issue that happens within some communities that the mutants of marvel can act as allegory for. They are after all, best suited to simply be an allegory for oppression and bigotry rather than any one specific group. Although it's no surprise that many mutants face similar issues to disabled people. Eugenics is a common discussion in their comics for obvious reasons, and an ideology which still pushes for the dehumanisation of disabled people.

x-men’s inherent flaw in its storytelling is that it always has mutants with useful powers telling mutants with actual curses to be proud of their powers
