Jake and Samuel Befriending and Crushing on Sinu's Sister

Stage 1: Strangers

not many knew of you being Sinu’s sister

most chalked it up to you just being another one of the ladies working on the street

those who WERE aware never bothered to tell anybody

Jake and Samuel were amongst those who weren’t even aware of your existence

that was until they found Sinu sneaking in a few extra portions onto your plate during one of their annoyingly large group dinners

at first, they concluded you two were dating

after all, why else would someone give part of their already dwindling food supply to someone else?

Samuel, being the ever-so-inquisitive man he was, was the first to bring it to the light

he poked fun at his boss’ supposed girlfriend and how much he just looves her to be able to share his food

confused, Sinu would just shake his head in disbelief

“What girlfriend?”

excuse me?

what did he mean what girlfriend

by some turn of fate, you enter his office with his freshly pressed jacket in hand

you grumble under your breath, unaware of the two questioning gazes scrutinizing your every move

when you DO look up, your stunned silent

you were aware of your brother’s tendency to recruit new people

but DAMN, these two took the cake in terms of attractiveness

from their sharp jaws, to the ink of tattoos just barely peeking from beneath their crisp sleeves--

the sound of a throat clearing broke the silence

your brother would wrap a loose arm around your shoulder and pull you into his chest

“This is my little sister, [Name]. As well as who I can only assume you believe is my girlfriend, yes?”

you allow his words to seep into your mind for a second, only letting out a noise of confusion as he presents you to the two boys

when it finally settles in, you nearly keel over in laughter

“Wha- Me? Date this guy?”

the two before you remain silent, jaws slacked with disbelief

Stage 2: Friends?

it’s strange, being friends with both Jake and Samuel

mostly because you aren’t sure if they consider you a friend

I’ll be honest, you don’t see them often

but that’s mostly because you’re schedules clash

with them going to school and you helping with what you can in Big Deal

however, it’s not uncommon to share the occasional small talk with Jake or strategies here and there with Samuel

Sinu pokes and prods to you about your relationship with his crew

Jake, specifically, yet he continues to claim to not play favorites

you can only laugh and nod along to your brother’s adamant attempts of swaying your feelings

it does get awkward at times

especially when one of the two (or worse, both) are in the same room or happened to enter at just the right time

Sinu--the bastard--would fall into life-threatening fits of laughter every. single. time.

leaving you to stare in mortification, debating whether to call an ambulance or end your ass of a brother yourself

you grow used to it...eventually

though, other than that, nothing much goes on

until Gun and Goo enter the picture, that is.

it’s late into the night, and you’re finally settling in your bed after a long day

and then you hear it

two unfamiliar voices strolling through the lit-up street

your heart picks up when the blond kicks down the door to the warehouse

throwing on slippers, you swallow the horrible feeling in the pit of your stomach

you can only watch in horror as your brother crashes his skull against the blond from before

a scream threatens to leave your throat, but it’s stopped by Jake’s hand

you glance up at him with tear-laced lashes

and yet, he only stares ahead, jaw clenching so tightly that you fear his jaw will crack beneath the pressure

his other hand moves to cover your eyes just before a heart-wrenching scream tears through the air

you struggle in his hold, scared and depraved of your senses

“It’s going to be alright,” Jake’s voice is tense as he forces the lie in a vain attempt to soothe your worries

you can only nod, forcing yourself to bask in the false hope that everything was, indeed, going to be okay

he pulls back, leaving your side just fast enough to catch a sharpened chopstick with the palm of his hand

by the end of the night, you’re left sobbing into Samuel’s chest while Jake and the other’s haul your brother’s broken body back to your shared house

Samuel’s gaze is downcast and clouded as his hand rubs stiff yet soothing circles on your back

“Stop crying...it makes you look weak.”

his words are laced with a hint of care

Stage 3: Crush???

you work hard to earn your keep on the street despite the difficulty of pulling customers to meet the hundred million won quota, but you manage

you always have.

but, it’s weird, roaming the street without seeing either Jake or Samuel out and about due to the current issue regarding the strange men

Samuel offer’s small, seemingly backhanded praises when you meet your quota

he brushes off your thanks and bright smile

Jake offers help with the shop every now and again

with Jerry in tow, of course

the other girls tease you relentlessly

“They like you.”

“No, they don’t.”

“Samuel smiles at you!”

“...okay?”

“Jake is literally always around you when he’s free.”

“He’s probably worried about my brother.”

“G i r l, I swear--”

you just sit there, confused as to why everyone is insisting that they like you

they’re your friends...right?

then you think

Samuel share’s his food with you

he never shares.

Jake does seem to always be hanging around the shop more often then normal

he never has free time.

safe to say you’re screaming into your pillow for a good while

the more your gaze lingers on the two, the more you notice the two are polar opposites

from Jake’s charisma

to Samuel’s domineering presence

they notice, of course, making a small stupid bet on the side about who you stare at more

the unspoken tension continues to simmer beneath the surface

who knows how it’ll turn out?

but you do recall falling for his charismatic charm

not that you would ever tell him, but he most likely already knows

at the start of the apocalypse, he was your pillar; the rock that kept you grounded

his presence alone is enough to soothe you whenever a new scenario appears

he’s supportive, always encouraging you to level up your stigmas and stats

even as you grow stronger and begin to fight by his side, he still remains as steady as possible for you and the rest of the group

not only that, but he’s financially supportive as well

already placing his (winning) bid

the constellations eat this shit UP, so he doesn’t have to worry about running out for a good while

he often lingers around you or wraps an arm around you to pull you close when he confirms that your group is in no immediate danger

he can’t lose you.

he isn’t a regressor, so there are no second chances for him

dating Dokja almost instantly makes you a mother figure to Gilyoung, and Dokja loves it

he himself had quite the strained relationship with his own mother

so seeing you caring so deeply for a child that isn’t even yours sends his heart racing

calls you “princess” jokingly and “darling” when he wants you to know he truly means something

not the most romantic man in the world due to his previous shut-in nature

but will never fail to make you feel any less loved than you deserve to be

he tries to learn, though

from making sure you’re saved the best piece of that day’s mystery meal

to making sure you’re well equipped for the scenarios that lie ahead

Heewon teases him endlessly about his clear infatuation with you, claiming that if he doesn’t wife you up soon, she’d do it herself

of course, Dokja being the asshole he is, already has the goddamn ring

there are times, however, that the eyes of the constellations grow to be too overbearing

and Dokja understands it’s not easy being with him with all the spotlight directed on him, and in turn, you

despite that, he holds you close on the rare occasions the two of you sleep 

his heartbeat is enough to drown out the foreboding pings of the constellations

Yoo Joonghyuk- The Regressor

I can’t imagine him being with someone who isn’t a regressor, not after the first time

so when he met you, a woman who knew a little too much too early, it was safe to say he was intrigued at the very least

he’s distant, too hard to get close to with the high, barbed wire fences surrounding his already broken heart

and yet, he can’t help but invite you to his small group and gets closer to you

when he feels himself falling, his usual nonchalance begins to waver

but what truly shatters the wall between you and him is when you lay in his arms, breath labored as your blood seeps between his trembling fingers

“I’ll see you...in the next one, right?”

a binding vow unheard by the constellations 

all they can do is watch Joonghyuk place his forehead against yours with a quite, choked hum of agreement

“Yeah, I’ll see you then.”

safe to say that the run didn’t last much longer

however, he made sure to take revenge on those who harmed you because he wouldn’t end a run knowing those who hurt you still roamed free

in at least 80% of his total regressions, he’s married you

but, that doesn’t mean he isn’t together with you

it’s gotten to the point where if he’s lucky enough to meet you early on in life, he calls you “wife” or “beloved” out of habit

definitely freaked out a few people because of it (not that he cares lmao)

i’ll admit, the two of you are heavily codependent on each other

neither of you are able to live in a world where the other is dead

hence, the habit of linking hands was developed around the seventh regression

well, at first it was introduced as a safety tactic to ensure the other was close by

jeez, it’s clear who tsl123′s favorite ship is ig

while he loves hand holding, he’s pretty stiff when it comes to cuddling for a good while

he’s not used to being able to hold someone so intimately since, well, his first lover

his sleeping schedule is far from both normal and healthy

so please, hold him close when he sleeps

there have been more than a few occasions where he bolts up from his sleep, plagued by the nightmares and mistakes of another life

he holds you these nights, hoping that this will be the last

this will be the last time that he loses you

even though deep down he knows it’s far from over

all he can do is thank you for staying by his side, mumbling apologies into the crown of your head for dragging you down whatever hell this is

Eli’s S/o Getting Jealous of the Attention He Gets

It’s no secret that Eli is sought after. Come on, the man has got it all; the looks, the personality--the list goes on. And yet, he chose you. The person who just so happened to get the honor of sitting next to him during first year.

You remember your first interaction clearly, despite it being quite a while ago. He smiled kindly at you, the tattooed ‘H’ just barely peeking out from behind his bangs as he turned to face your new teacher. That small nod sent your heart into a racing frenzy, even if it meant basically nothing at the time.

After a few awkward interactions, the two of you eventually fell into a routine. Nod, talk about everything that came to mind, then carry on with the day.

With each little chat you had with your seemingly perfect classmate, the more you began to fall for him. You began to notice the things nobody else seemed to. Ranging from the soft look he always gave children on their way home, to the small scowl on his face that always appeared whenever news of a particularly brutal fight circled the school.

However, despite all your watching, you never did see how he smiled a little more around you. So it’s safe to say you were quite surprised when Eli first confessed his feelings to you.

Though, despite being months along into your relationship, Eli was never one for PDA. You understood his insecurities, saving the best interactions for behind closed doors.

Which leads you to now, barely hiding your jealousy-filled glare beneath your folded arms. You attempt to drown out the squeaky, forced laughter of your love-struck classmates and underclassmen as they crowd around your boyfriend. The word brings a small smirk to your lips as a mental middle finger to those crowding around him. 

You don’t see how his brows pinch in concern as his gaze falls to you, or the bright yet uncomfortable smile that graces his face while he tries to back away from the ever-growing crowd. He eventually reaches your desk with a minuscule sigh of relief.

“[Name],” he calls out to you. You finally look up from the comforts of your arms, your gaze turning sour when it falls to the group fawning loudly behind Eli. He opens his mouth to say more but is interrupted by an underclassman latching onto his arm, which then leads to more people clinging to him for “fairness”.

You feel your jaw go taut in agitation as you quickly whip your head away from Eli. The jealousy buries itself deep into the pit of your stomach, morphing into previously soothed insecurities. Your classmates and underclassmen were so much better than you in every way possible--better for Eli, your mind taunts. Tears of frustration well up in the corners of your eyes. However, it’s the familiar tremble of your shoulders that finally gain Eli’s attention amongst the crowd.

With the internal paternal alarms set ablaze, he manages to shove past the confused fans enough to lay a gentle hand on your shoulder. He winces as you flinch away, pushing his hair back with his free hand as a tired sigh falls past his lips.

“Hey,” he mumbles, leaning into to rest his chin atop your head. His heart lurches when you jerk away from him, loneliness he once thought to be gone now pooling in his heart. The murmurs of classmates fall upon deaf ears. 

“[Name], please don’t be like this. Please tell me what’s wrong...”

A sardonic chuckle fills the air as you finally turn to face the crowd with puffy, bloodshot eyes.

“Eli, I’m fine, really.” You shrug off his hand, a wobbly and forced smile taking its place on your lips.

He doesn’t believe you. He stares into you with the same calculating look you’ve only seen on him before a fight.

“Are you... Jealous?”

You tense. Bingo. His pride is short-lived, however, as you once more tear your gaze away from him. But, his quick reflexes manage to snag your jaw between his thumb and forefinger just before your back is to him once more. He feels your cheeks heat beneath the pads of his fingers, your eyes widening at the now shortened proximity between you and the beauty student.

Before you can open your mouth to speak, his lips are slanted against yours. He pulls back slightly to coo at your flustered expression, half-lidded eyes holding nothing less than pure bliss and adoration. The loneliness in his heart fades back into obscurity as you crack him a small smile.

Your smile fades when the shrieks of your classmates reach your ears. With eyes wide with mortification, your gaze flits between your boyfriend and classmates.

“Eli-“

He kisses you once again, softer this time. The warmth of his lips on yours remains even after he pulls away, leaving you to chase after him. When the daze of the kiss finally settles, you meet Eli’s adoring gaze.

“Aren’t you bold today,” your voice is light as you stare back at him with a smile. The crowd had dispersed a while after Eli had initiated the second kiss, finally leaving you alone with the man you were proud to call your boyfriend.

“If being bold is enough to keep you by my side, then I’ll be sure to let you know how much I care.”

you basically have a degree in nursing with how much you patch this man up

he’d come home with at least one new injury

at first, he was reluctant in letting you care for him

let’s be honest

so when you first expressed concern for him, he was definitely confused, if not suspicious

speaking of fighting, though he doesn’t say anything about it, he loves showing off to you (have you SEEN that smirk??)

because he sees you as far more than family, he doesn’t want anything bad to happen to you

weird guy looking at you weird from across the street?

bam--he just got a taste of the sole of Johan’s shoe

doesn’t really enjoy going shopping, or really anything that doesn’t include playing with his dogs or eating

but won’t complain if you do decide to take him out for shopping

much like Samuel (though not to his extent) he’s clingy

it’s been a very long time since there was someone other than himself he could rely on

even later on in your relationship he has his doubts

they’ll probably always continue to gnaw in his mind, but as long you’re there to comfort him, he’ll learn to just ignore those doubts.<3

because of these doubts and insecurities, it doesn’t take a lot to get him jealous

likes to be coddled, but not to the point where it’s suffocating

I can’t promise he’ll always have time for you or will clear his schedule at the drop of a hat (he does that in advance lmao)

he’s a busy guy

but that doesn’t change the fact he loves you

he really, truly does love you

he’s got basically everything about you memorized

keeps all important dates highlighted in red on his calendar

and always knows what to get you as a gift, whether it be spending time together or something you spotted from a store

...if it’s in his price range, of course

Jake will always appreciates your cooking and eat it even if it tastes like coal

anything is better than instant noodles for a week straight tbh

touched starved and a little clingy

not like Samuel level

but enough to crave your touch after a long week of nothing but paperwork

even if you’ve been with him for a long time (since, like, middle school) he’d still be apprehensive about business pertaining to Big Deal

it’s not that he’s keeping secrets from you

he just doesn’t want you constantly worrying about him. which could potentially put a target on your back

during the few occasions when his thoughts finally catch up to him, he wonders why you’re still with him

so just hold him for a while to dispel these thoughts

loves doing small, mundane things with you on his rare days off

it makes him feel...free from everything else around him

Gun and his S/O being Cute with a Baby

“I look fucking stupid,” Gun sighs as he readjusts the baby carrier strapped to his chest.

“First of all, no cursing in front of the baby. Second, I think you look hot.” He rolls his eyes at you from behind his sunglasses, his lips pulling into a minuscule scowl as you peck his cheek. You watch as he reaches into his pocket to pull out a pack of cigarettes, bringing one of the sticks to his mouth while looking at you questioningly.

You smack the unlit cigarette to the ground with your free hand, crushing it beneath your heel before he could even think about picking it up, “No smoking either.” He stares at the crushed ash for a moment before turning to both you and the baby in your arms, an unamused frown crossing his lips.

“Look, you’re the one who agreed to look after Crystal’s cousin, Mr. Bodyguard.” You adjust the baby in the baby carrier, making sure it was neither too loose nor too tight.

“You make it sound like I had the choice,” he grumbles under his breath.

“Yeah, yeah, whatever you say... Now come on! There are a few things I wanted to check out." Grasping his wrist, you pulled both him and the baby out the door of your shared apartment. The three of you begin your stroll through the busy streets of Seoul, visiting a couple of shops here and there before heading to a nearby park. Gun's face softens unnoticeably at the sight of you cooing at the child; however, he quickly collects himself upon feeling numerous stares as they bore into his back.

Without you noticing, he tilts his sunglasses down slightly, glaring directly at the onlookers while his fist unconsciously clenches at his side. With a click of his tongue, he watches as they scamper down the street.

"It's getting late; we should head back," you yawn, tilting your head to the rapidly darkening sky. Gun only offers you a nod, reaching his hand out to yours to intertwine your fingers. The baby begins to sniffle, causing both you and Gun to turn to them. The sniffles slowly begin to grow louder and louder until they're full-on sobbing.

"You're kidding me..."

Quickly rushing back to the apartment, you remove the baby from the carrier and bring them to the bathroom. A few minutes and a lot of hand washing later, you return with a now happy baby snuggled in your arms. You place a peck on your lover's cheek, allowing the baby to freely roam the expanse of the couch. They crawl into Gun's lap, lightly tracing at the faded ink of his tattoos while he drifts off into a peaceful sleep.

Finding the scene adorable, you grab your phone, snatching a quick picture before quietly squealing to yourself. 

Bonus: 

The shrill sound of his phone rudely woke him from one of his few moments of peace. Glaring down at the caller ID, Gun could already feel his sour mood worsen.

"What the hell do you need, Goo? I told you, I don't do that kind of work any--"

"Aww, is Gunnie-Wunnie mad? You know, you actually look kind of cute with a baby. Makes your shitty style at least decent, I guess."

"My shitty style--wait. What do you mean "baby"?"

"Nothing! Bye~!"

Gun grumbles dazedly, thoughts shifting through the possibilities of how Goo could have figured out he took care of a baby. A ping from his phone echoes throughout the otherwise silent living room. He checks his phone once more, only to see it's an attached image from Goo. A blurry image of himself stares back at him. It's rushed, and anyone would have a difficult time making out the blob-like figure perched on his lap.

"Goddamnit, [Name]."

he probably would’ve never found out you were a single parent until you told him

he just assumed that you were busy with your life

never questions when you had to leave a date early after getting a notification on your phone

after a few dates or so when you’re finally comfortable enough, you take him to see your child

inviting him to your home was easy enough, you suppose

he’s a little confused on why you’re insisting on meeting up at your home, but is actually very excited to see what your home life is like

is taken aback by the sheer amount of toys littering the ground

you apologize, clearly embarrassed by the mess

the babysitter turns to greet you, surprised and a little terrified by the man at your side

however when they see your interlaced hands, they understand almost immediately, excusing themselves after handing your child back to you

if Vasco was shocked before, he’s definitely very very confused now

upon seeing him, your child would freeze before whimpering and sobbing

dropping his hand, you coo at your child, gently brushing away their tears whilst gently bouncing them in your arms

you softly shake your head, refusing to meet his questioning gaze

the gears start to turn in his head; from your early exits to the toys on the floor

this was your child

he’ll stare at you for a moment, his eyes shining brightly with an emotion you couldn’t quite name

from a young age, Samuel was exposed to violence which blossomed into a few dangerous habits

ex: nearly losing it whenever he’s interrupted

he doesn’t want to project said habits onto your child and potentially lose you; the only one who’s been able to put up with him

when he comes by the next day, you raise a brow as you open the door but usher him in anyway

your child just stares at him and he stares back

it’s just really awkward until you step back in

you move to pick your child up only to be stopped by your lover

he bends down and picks them up underneath their arms, lifting them up lion king style before continuing to stare at them

like Vasco, Jake is an idiot who probably never found out you were a single parent unless you told him

there’s also the fact that he’s also extremely busy and wouldn’t question your random disappearances

the way he found out you had a child was actually an accident, really

you were just taking your child for a small stroll in the park when Jake spotted you

he was concerned as to why you were hunched over and what currently had your attention

as he approached, the light coos of your child began to fill the air, mingling with your laughter

a hand on your shoulder caused you to flinch, quickly turning to face the person

your eyes widen as your eyes land on none other than Jake, subconsciously trying to shield your child from your lover

when he sees the child the first thing that goes through is mind is whether or not you kidnapped this child

no, like, seriously

“...Did you kidnap a child?”

“Wha-- No! Why would I kidnap my own child?!”

it takes a moment for your words to sink in 

but when they do, Jake’s eyes are wide with disbelief and you’re covering your mouth 

your child only stares, unable to read the tense mood between their parent and the giant man

when Jake shakes himself out of his daze, he sighs

at first you think he’s mad at you

that is until his arms wrap around your waist and he nuzzles his face into your shoulder

you can feel his lips pull into a smile as he continues to hug you

“You didn’t have to hide this from me. I would still love you regardless if you had a child or not.”

he strikes me as the kind of guy who would already know but would want you to be comfortable enough to share it with him

when you do, he’s over the moon

yeah, Samuel’s definitely pissed with his sudden splurging, but says nothing to his boss

definitely doesn’t stop him from glaring at the pile of toys and onesies  Sinu bought for your child

Jake on the, other hand, is just concerned

he knows his boss could be weird at times...but was it really necessary to buy three versions of a single cat toy?

upon actually meeting your child, they just instantly click

almost as if they were his child all along

not going to lie, you were pretty jealous

but as long as the to people you cared most about in your life were happy, who were you to be sad?
