This is a photo I took (and edited) from a trip to Ireland a while back. During the Christmas season I often think of these two I met in a side alley in Limerick. They were so nice - I could listen to them all day. When they found out I was from America they wanted to chat about Bob Dylan. (giggle) Some where I have a recording of them singing and I will try and post it later. The gent with the guitar in hand walked me to the book store down the street to show me where to find their CD for sale. This image I took to do a review of the new Christmas Pillow Covers I just ordered is so cute I may just use it as a Christmas card! This little fellow has a few different names... he usually comes when I call him Maggie. I thought he was a girl kitty for the longest time until one day.. well... anyways... I still call him Maggie. Yummy! My 13 pound turkey in the oven roaster turned out perfect!!! I can’t wait to slice into homemade bread the day after for the traditional cold turkey sandwich. We kept it simple this year and I made up the basic green bean casserole, stuffing, gravy and sweet corn from the local farmers market. Beautiful day .. the dome is all ready for winter gardening. New strips on outside and inside layer plastic is up. There’s cabbage, onions and celery waiting outside to go in. Other wise known as the Nippon, the Montauk daisy plant is one of my favorites this time of year. Showy white blooms on this daisies from midsummer to frost. Their foliage is thick, dark green and lightly scented. I may end up moving just to give it more space to really grow tall. This plant was so much fun to grow during the last 2 growing seasons. I started a few from seed with ease. On my website today I share a vlog highlighting what the Pot-A-Peno Jalapeno look like growing indoors and after a long summer in full sun. Testing plants to their limits is one of my favorite things to do. I learn so much from seeing what a plant will do in various conditions. This plant produces amazing little jalapeno peppers that are perfect for appetizers, salsas and other favorite dishes. I love slicing them up to serve on crackers with cheese. Just took this photo of my bestest garden walk buddy ever! Oliver loves walking about and sniffing the blooms. He will take a sniff and look at me for approval. (giggle) Such a silly puppy. This afternoon were were out in the heat playing with my old school Nikon D90 with a 35mm lens on. Talk about a fun adventure... really! I've been using my iPhone camera so much I forgot how much fun it really is to look through the camera lens and focus... its like Christmas morning viewing the images on my PC!
