Okay, I've done some research, and Boe's father's backstory makes NO historical sense.

I originally named his father Ario because it sounded cool, but apparently is a Spanish/Italian name and it makes no sense for him to have 💀

I also realized though that he's coming from a long way overseas for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON so I decided, "Uhm, no, he's Norwegian." I would've just made him Scottish but Arctic foxes haven't been native to Scotland since the last ice age sooooo... Yeah, not gonna work.

I renamed him Kristian- which is hopefully time period accurate? I did my best research, I swear.

His family wanted to move to England, so they sailed over to Britain, landing in Scotland. They initially planned to continue south to England, but ended up settling in Scotland, and there Kristian was born and raised. Though, he wasn't satisfied, and moved all the way to London when he grew up. There he met a red fox I have yet to name and became a business man. He also adopted the English spelling of his name, "Christian."

And eventually, he had Boe. Which is a Scandinavian name- I couldn't find anything more specific on its origins, but close enough- so it all works out! I still need to decide on a last name, though...

Meet Boe, a rich boy from 1800s London.

I've actually never tried to draw furries like this before; usually I draw in a more traditional anthro style but I'm going for that "basically-a-human-with-fur" look. His arms are.... Rough 😅

Also, if you couldn't tell, I know nothing about the time period, but I've tri d to use some references... Then again, I suck at detailing clothing so that doesn't help...

Anyway, Boe is an artic-red fox hybrid with a Scottish accent. Yes, you heard that correct. His father, Ario, is an artic fox from the northern Americas, but he and his family moved to Scotland when he was very young for reasons I still need to create. When Ario grew up, he moved to London and started a business and eventually had his son, Boe. I still need to create Boe's mother, but yeah, she is (or maybe was, idk, I still have to decide whether she's in the picture or not 👀) a red fox. Living rich in London, Boe adapted that pristine and defined pronunciation that higher-ups of the period are known for, though I think his father probably still has a very bad Scottish accent, and sometimes when Boe is tired or extremely comfortable, his own Scottish accent slips out.

I'm not 100% on how old I want to make him... He's either 19 or something like 25, or maybe even older, I'm not sure yet.

If anyone is a fashion nerd and happens to know about this time period.... I wouldn't mind it if you wanted to, like, help me or offer advice or something...

Trying to design a character TwT Her name is Hazel. She's not new, I probably made the concept for her a year ago but I never actually designed her 😭

I like it quite a bit but she looks more like a canyon talik than a desert talik so I redrew her

Kinda fugly (didn't even sign it, don't care to) and she still looks like a canyon talik- I do like her face though. I think the first one is more pretty but her face just looks too mature and it doesn't fit her. I also tried pushing the shapes more in the second but I think it's too much. Prolly gonna do two more designs, one where I dial it back a bit (and make her actually look like a desert talik) and then the final where I just make the last adjustments. Might even make three, idk.

Just realized I forgot to give the second one eyebrows but I'm too lazy to take another picture lol.

You ever FEEL okay but your body is defo telling you that you are in the middle of a BAD anxiety spike and you're just sitting there in class like "ahaha" because emotionally you're fine but your heart is doing little pitter-patters and there are butterflies in your stomach and you feel just a tad light-headed but there's literally nothing you can do because 1. You're already breathing normally, and 2. You defo took your meds why are you freaking out so much what?

I got some alcoholic markers and I decided to try them out! There were only 21 colors but I think I did okay. Some of the details gets a little lost in picture but I tried TwT

Heyo! Sorry for the radio silence, lol. Exams are kicking my *ss 💀💀💀 but! I finished somewhat early today so I decided to doodle. I drew these like two weeks ago actually but decided to finish them.

She's my only OC that uses pure white. She's also my only OC whose eyes can be seen through her hair. She is a very privileged OC 💜

I was being pretty experimental with my style today and I like how it came out! I drew Opal too small tho and it was kinda hard to draw details. My hands were also shaking like there was no tomorrow aaaa. I also kinda screwed up on Faith lol. When drawing her traditionally I always make the orange too dark and it begins to blend with the black 😭

These are a tiny bit lazy but I still like the way they look. I’ll probably make more later.

These are an original species of mine called taliks. Think of a spider monkey mixed with a fox? Mixed with a coyote?

If I may lore dump, there are four basic varieties of these guys: Grassland, desert, canyon, and frozen. There are many others as well, more built for specific environments, but usually they can fall under one of these four main categories. Canyon taliks and desert taliks are very similar, but just different enough to be considered separate. Mix breeds of subspecies from different categories are rare due to geographical separation, but they do happen.
