Today for Bandcamp Friday I release my first solo album. I spent most of 2023 in Logic X composing, recording and arranging these songs. It was a new way of creating for me as I'm used to making music live off the floor with musicians together in a room. It was a real challenge producing but I think it was worth it!

Listen/purchase: There Was A Butcher [Psychedelic Improv] by HereafterThe fourth instalment takes us to a snowy weekend in New York, reuniting a band that was together for 8 months in 1993. Phil Clarke, Eddy Cola, Dan Goldman and I were a group created around improvisation. So, as a 5-year anniversary, we decided to improvise an album's worth of ideas over two 3 hrs sessions. Recorded on an Alesis Adat 8 track recorder then mixed with Phil Clarke and I at the board overdubbing various keyboard and spoken word parts all onto Fostex DAT. The results are a quick snapshot of our live show and how the MTL culture influenced our creative output.
Thanks indie music fans for your generous support of my latest music effort “Living Proof”. I’m very grateful that technology has now allowed us to produce soundscapes what would have been impossible a few years ago without a tremendous amount of equipment and understanding. #diy #music #independent #producer #electronic #technology #soloalbum #newcollection #songs #beats #logicprox
I started to create albums to serve as a soundtrack for the artwork that I was creating at the time. I approached Dan Good owner of the Hideout to put together an exhibit/album release about the various social and environmental issues that were affecting the world around us. Electric blues is a great way to mix various topics that also entertain the listener. The group of musicians I gathered decided to switch their traditional instruments to see if we could find a new sound combination.
