This post just gave me an idea for a headcanon that might explain object reproduction, so I'm adding that onto this since i think it'd be fun to share

(Idk what the "stuff" would be, I imagine some kinda magical ball of some sort-- and the whole "taking a chunk out of yourself" thing is more metaphorical than anything)

I think it'd also depend on what the objects are made of that decides what the child is? like if a Fire and a Log had a kid, then it'd obviously be something like charcoal, but if it was something more ambiguous, like if an Apple Tree and a Cherry had a kid, then there'd be more options and thus recessive genes could come into play. (maybe the parent they most resemble is the dominant gene, while the parent they don't resemble is the recessive?)
