Should I probably write about my OC if I expect anyone to care about her? Yes! Did I instead spend a concerning amount of time creating a document in which I split her into 10 different personas each featuring a name, character I thought represented them, a mood board, a description, a theme song, a tiktok that I think represented it, a quote, a tweet I imagined her making, and origin story and a symbol also yes.
i want to talk about my ocs but im literally this image. i got nothing

To love the Beatles is also to want to grab each of them by the shoulders and go what the fuck is wrong with you, John particularly
You can't love the Beatles without hating them at least a little bit

In today's episode of Paul talks about John like an ex he's definitely not over
“A body of work was produced that I don't believe he alone could have produced, or I alone could have produced. It was only me that sat in those hotel rooms, in his house in the attic; it wasn't Yoko, it wasn't Sean, it wasn't Julian, it wasn't George, it wasn't Mimi, it wasn't Ringo, it wasn't Miles. It was me that sat in those rooms, seeing him in all his moods and all his little things, seeing him not being able to write a song, and having me help, seeing me not able to write a song and him help me.”

No but seriously describing the Beatles childhoods traumas is so funny because it's like
John: father was a sailor who barely paid attention to his family then disappeared on him when he was five, mother was a Bohemian who loved him but was too invested enjoying her life and having flings to properly take care of him to the point that he had to be taken in by his aunt and uncle, his aunt love him very much but wasn't necessarily equipped to deal with his emotions, his uncle offered some more emotional support but died when he was 14, he started to reconnect with his mother shortly afterward but then she died when he was 17
Ringo: abandoned by his dad, spent most of his childhood in and out of hospitals to the point that he barely got an education, genuinely nearly died several times
Paul: mother got cancer but he and his brother weren't told until she was literally actively dying thus straining his relationship with his father
George: was poor
Like don't get me wrong I know that poverty can have negative effects on a child but like compared to the rest of them...
is this anything beatle people?

Despite the more light-hearted tone the music video is devastating it makes it so clear that this project is Paul and Ringo calling out through time to tell John and George how much they love and miss them.
just listened to ‘now and then’ for the first time in months because of the grammys and thinking about Paul singing to dead John over 40 years ago and John in 1980 basically implying to Paul ‘I miss you and I want to start ‘us’ again’ and how he was never given the chance and yes Paul has moved on but in some way he never will
40ish John is asking I love you. i miss you, will you be there for me , will you return to me?
and 80 ish Paul is saying yes, yes i love you. I would’ve. I would’ve.
and john can never answer

I don't know what I love the most about this John and Paul leaning on each other with those big grins or George's dorky little arm gesture

Great compilation op, the way that each of these communicates a different side of him and reflects the particular way the person photographing him felt about him, God photography can be so cool

I saw a Dramione shipper comment on a video about how Ron's willingness to get into fist fights to defend Hermione with something like I'm an enemy territory Draco would burn the world for Hermione and when people responded being like girl what the fuck you're you talking about she tried to argue that it was Canon for a bit before backtracking and claiming that she never said that she cared about Canon and that she "just couldn't see Canon Ron doing that"(getting into fights to defend Hermione) even though he LITERALLY DOSE.
They literally don't care about Canon and like fine whatever I have my fuck Cannon chips but at least I don't turn around and try to make arguments about the characters based on them.
i dont understand how people can sit there and be like “draco cared about hermione” and then say “ron sucks” when in canon, draco wished hermione to be dead in second year, called her a slur multiple times, and bullied her and her friends while ron was just an insecure teenage boy who loved her

Neville "leader of the student resistance at Hogwarts, master of herbology, boy brave enough to stand up to and for his friends despite being constantly terrified , consistently kind despite the cruelty he faced" Longbottom cheers the loudest
"the over romanticization of death eaters has made the harry potter/marauders universe lose its charm," i say into the mic.
the crowd boos. i begin to walk off in shame, when multiple voices speak and command silence from the room.
"she's right," they say. i look for the owners of the voices. there in the 5th row stands: literally every character who is inherently good but overlooked by the fandom.

Perfect thank you! Exactly as cute and fluffy as I was imagining
Hey if you're still taking requests could you do something with George Weasley. It's a few years after the war and the reader ask George to come along with her to her friend's wedding because Cormac mclagon is going to be there and she wants an easy way to get him to back off.
When they get to the wedding Cormac starts to hit on the reader and she says that George is her boyfriend and he plays along to get Cormac off her back
It could be completely platonic or it could have a hint of there being something actually romantic between George and the reader
The bells of the quaint countryside chapel rang out as the wedding guests mingled in the sunny garden outside. Y/N adjusted the strap of her dress for what felt like the tenth time, scanning the crowd nervously.
“Relax, you look great,” George Weasley said beside her, his grin lopsided and comforting.
She turned to him, offering a weak smile. “Thanks, George. I just…” She trailed off, her eyes flicking over the crowd.
“Still worried about McLaggen?” George guessed, raising an eyebrow.
“Worried isn’t the word,” she muttered, crossing her arms. “The last time I saw him, he wouldn’t stop pestering me about going out. It took me pretending to be sick to get him to leave me alone.”
George chuckled, his brown eyes twinkling. “And now you’ve got me. Your knight in shining armor.”
She laughed, the sound easing her nerves. “Right. My ‘boyfriend.’ Thanks again for coming along, by the way. You’re a lifesaver.”
“Anything for you,” he said lightly, but there was a sincerity in his tone that made her pause for half a second.
Before she could respond, the man in question appeared, striding toward them with a cocky grin plastered on his face.
“Y/N! There you are,” Cormac McLaggen drawled, his arms spreading as though he expected a hug.
George, standing a step closer, instinctively shifted slightly in front of her.
“Cormac,” Y/N greeted, her voice tight but polite.
“I’ve been looking all over for you,” McLaggen said, ignoring George entirely. His eyes lingered on Y/N in a way that made her skin crawl. “You look stunning, as always.”
Before she could respond, George slid an arm around her waist, pulling her just a little closer. “Doesn’t she?” he said, his tone casual but with an edge of possession.
McLaggen blinked, finally seeming to notice George. “Weasley. What are you doing here?”
Y/N smiled, leaning into George just enough to make it convincing. “George is my date. My boyfriend, actually.”
The words rolled off her tongue easily, but the subtle tightening of George’s arm around her made her glance up at him. He was watching McLaggen with a look that was far too good to be fake.
“Boyfriend?” McLaggen repeated, his smile faltering. “Since when?”
“Oh, it’s been a while,” George chimed in, grinning widely. “You know how it is—she couldn’t resist my charm.”
Y/N snorted, playing along. “That, and his terrible jokes.”
Cormac’s expression soured, but he quickly forced another smile. “Well, that’s... surprising. You didn’t mention this the last time we spoke, Y/N.”
Y/N raised an eyebrow. “That’s probably because I didn’t think it was your business.”
“Fair point,” George added cheerfully, giving Y/N a quick kiss on the temple that sent a jolt through her. She hoped it didn’t show. “Now, if you’ll excuse us, I promised Y/N a dance before dinner.”
Without waiting for a response, George guided her toward the dance floor, his hand warm against her back.
When they were safely out of earshot, Y/N let out a breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding. “You’re really good at this fake boyfriend thing.”
“Fake?” George teased, spinning her gently into his arms.
She laughed, shaking her head. “Yes, fake. But seriously, thank you. He’s probably going to leave me alone now.”
“Anytime,” he said, his voice softening. His eyes met hers, and for a moment, the world seemed to slow.
Y/N opened her mouth to say something, but the music shifted to a faster tune, and George grinned, pulling her into a playful twirl.
“Come on, let’s give McLaggen something to really be jealous about,” he said, his mischievous tone making her laugh as they danced.
And as they moved across the floor, Y/N couldn’t quite shake the feeling that maybe, just maybe, there was something a little less fake about the way George was looking at her.

No but imagine when George is finally ready to open the shop again after Fred dies, he finds out that Percy had secretly gone to the grand opening the first time around and proudly makes him a guest of honor to the grand reopening to make up for him having to sneak in the first time
Or, you know both of the twins did that when they were reopening the shop because Fred didn't die no he didn't what are you talking about?
The way i like to pretend that Percy was at Fred and George’s opening for their joke shop (probably in disguise)

That... Is an excellent point. I think a lot of people ship Hermione with characters other than Ron because they find those characters more attractive than he is, particularly Draco and Fred.
Also like as a side note this fandom needs to give George more Love, like damn the way some people talk you'd figure that George was Fred's sidekick and not his partner in crime. Fred and George are very much equals in Canon and George is even shown to be the better athlete. Apparently being slightly quieter as a man is a sin in the eyes of this fandom
Long live Granger-Weasley.
All the haters say Hermione should be with the person who treats her the best, but I don't see any of you shipping her with Neville. 🫡

This person art also always really captures the way I view the clothing of the wizarding world. It's not completely separate from muggle clothing but it clearly has its own influences and traditions.

I'm sorry how dare you hide Fred being reaped later in the tags? That's so tragic! Honestly it's almost a katniss volunteers to save prim only for her to die later level of tragic irony there. The idea that Percy volunteered to save George and make sure that the twins didn't have to be separated only for the twins to be separated. If you want to add extra tragic details have Fred get really far like third or fourth place and then die quickly in a random event sort of like he did in the book. Honestly if you actually want to write this out and include that detail that feels like something the capitol would do intentionally to punish Percy
thinking about a hunger games au where percy and penelope are childhood friends, and they've discussed the idea of being in the games, talking about what would happen and how they'd go about it if they were a tribute. just casually, really; one of those theoretical what if's they talked about to pass the time. the night before their first reaping though, they made a pact that if one of them was chosen for the games, they would go in together.
in the end, i think percy would volunteer in place of one of his siblings, like katniss does. like they're all waiting for the reaping to be over. percy's watching his siblings, making sure they don't do anything to get themselves into trouble, only half-paying attention when the name is called.
'george weasley'
and as soon as he processes what just happened, the words 'i volunteer as tribute' are out of his mouth before he could even think it through. (not that he would have done anything different if he had.) but percy wishes he'd put some thought into when he hears penelope volunteer herself not even a second later. he had forgotten about their promise in his moment of panic.
(percy would scold her about how stupid her decision was, blatantly ignoring the fact that he would have done the same.)
i haven't really thought about who the other tributes would be; i think percy and penelope would be about 15, so i'll have to look at who's in the age range to be one. no matter who's involved, i think percy and penelope would stick together from the beginning. they're both focused on getting the other as far as possible in the games, and as the numbers start to dwindle, they start thinking of alternatives, because there's no way they're killing each other.
(also we don't know much about penelope and her situation, but i like the idea that it's just her and her mom, and percy doesn't want her mom to end up alone on top of the fact that he refuses for penelope to end up dead anyway.)
they probably end up in the same situation katniss and peeta were in; they're told that there can be two winners in they're from the same district, only to be told at the end that there can only be one, and they threaten joint suicide, forcing the gamemaker to make a quick decision to let them both be victors, that way they don't end up with none.
which then makes percy and penelope the first ever joint victors of the hunger games.
i like to think percy and penelope were the mentors for harry when he's made a tribute a few years later, too. (harry, who would end up in the mockingjay role for the rebellion.)
idk which like era is more appealing to me to explore tbh; percy and penelope's time in the arena. or them dealing with the after effects while training harry.
