My best friend sent me a sound bite of Angels VA saying this so... loose sketchy comic. I think this is my second time sketching these two.

A Favor or Two
The demon stopped midway through pushing the drink to Angel. “Alastor?”
“Yeah.” He plucked the drink out of the cat’s hand, careful not to touch him, and took a sip of it. “Ya know him?”
“You could say that. Does he own you?”
Angel scoffed. “No, I would never be stupid enough to give him my soul. We just do business sometimes.”
“I see.” The demon studied him the same way Angel had been studying him moments ago. He held out his hand. “Name's Husk.”
Angel hesitated. He didn't like touching people he didn't know but against his better judgment he shook the demon's hand. When their skin touched he felt a jolt of magic run from him into the cat. It then bounced back into him and it was almost like he could taste the flavor of another demon’s magic. He ignored it, even as he wondered what it was about, but he saw Husk's eyes widen for a split second.
He ignored that too.

Angel's been an overlord for a decade now. So what if he was still paying for the favors he'd traded to get here. He was free now and no one would ever own any part of him again.

Wicked Games
Hazbin Hotel fanfiction
He noticed the woman the moment she entered his casino. It was impossible not to. Heads turned everywhere as she swayed her way onto the floor. Men and women alike watched her entrance though she seemed not to notice any of the stares. He supposed a woman of her beauty must get a lot of attention and attention seemed to be what she was going for. Her silver dress would have attracted attention just from the way it sparkled under the bright casino lights but the cut of it only made you stare for longer. One long, long leg stuck out of the slit that rose almost indecently high and while the dress stuck to her ample breast in the front, the back dipped low showing off her entire back.
He watched her from the shadows, where few ever noticed him, as he sipped his bourbon. She made straight for the craps table where demons parted to let her stand near the shooter. The man currently rolling did a double take when he noticed her. The wicked grin she gave him as she pulled out a cigarette gave Husk the impression that she did, in fact, know what demons thought of her looks. There was a clear promise in that grin.
Several demons moved in, lighters in their hands. She chose the closest and without taking her eyes off of the shooter, she leaned into the flame. She blew her smoke out slowly, the action drawing the eye to her mouth. The shooter collected the dice, holding them out towards the woman. She bent down, putting her face very close to his hand as she gently blew on the dice. Even such a simple act held the promise of something more, gave the impression that her mouth was capable of so much more than blowing…
Every eye around the craps table was focused on her mouth. No one noticed when one of her hands slipped into a nearby demon’s pocket. He missed where she stashed her prize but he was impressed by the way she’d managed to distract the entire crowd so easily and quickly. To his surprise she was actually good luck to the shooter. Husk maintained his post at the edge of the room as he watched her work for almost an hour. She kept the rapt attention of the table the entire time. Demons laughed at her jokes and fawned over her as she flirted with and robbed them.
He could see when she became bored with the game and tried to excuse herself. The shooter put an arm around her waist, whispering something to her as he slid a large chip into the top edge of her dress. She giggled as she whispered something back but he could tell it was as fake as everything else she’d done since she’d walked in. She had no interest in the demon pawing at her. Again she impressed him by managing to extract herself from the table without upsetting anyone.
He discreetly followed her as she meandered over to the blackjack tables. She slowly wove between them, checking out each game as she went. Her eyes weren’t on the cards though, they were on the players. Many of whom were momentarily distracted as she passed them by. He saw the gleam in her eyes as she found her mark. A demon in an expensive suite. One of his high rollers, Rafael. The woman flipped her long blonde hair over her shoulder as she smiled shyly at the demon as she passed his table. Feigning innocence now? Apparently she had plenty of personalities in her back pocket to pick from.
She’d chosen correctly too. Rafael liked a good looking woman but he didn’t appreciate ones who threw themselves at him and openly flirted. How had she known? Her passing shy interest combined with her classic movie star good looks was just up Rafael’s alley. The demon stopped her with a quick word. She acted properly demure as the man introduced himself and invited her to sit. She made a good show of being unsure and allowing the man to convince her that he was safe to sit next to.
Husk made his way over to the bar, getting another drink as he continued to watch from his perch on the stool. He caught Rafael placing a chip in front of her, and watched her protest but after a moment she gave in to the demon’s generosity. She was very good. If he hadn’t seen her at the craps table, he might have fallen for her act now. She even managed to blush at something Rafael said to her.
Husk watched with utter amusement as she allowed Rafael to teach her how to play blackjack. He had no doubt the woman already knew how to play. One could chalk her winnings up to beginner’s luck, but Husk knew better. He’d been gambling for way too long, seen way too many humans and demons playing. Even beginner’s luck couldn’t compare to an experienced player and she was clearly experienced. In a great many ways. Eventually she stood, Rafael joining her. She protested, genuinely this time, but Rafael wasn’t having any of it. They each collected their winnings before she steered the demon towards the bar.
Husk turned his attention back to his drink as they approached. He finally heard her voice up close, without all the racket of the casino getting in the way. It was soft and gentle as she spoke to Rafael.
“One drink, but then I really do have ta go.”
Rafael’s voice was full of amusement as they sat at the bar, an empty stool between Husk and them. “Got a curfew? Or just a man who will miss your lovely presence?”
Husk watched them out of the corner of his eyes, she looked scared for just a moment but it was gone before most would ever notice. “I got ta work tonight, unfortunately.”
“That’s a shame,” Rafael lamented. He turned his attention to the bartender, ordering drinks for the two of them before he addressed the woman again. “So, what do you do for work, Angie?”
“Whateva my boss wants me ta do,” she replied cryptically. “Ya know how it is down here.”
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you here before,” Rafael commented. “I feel like I would remember someone as beautiful as you.”
Angie blushed, looking down modestly. Husk scoffed quietly. She knew she was beautiful. Her act at the craps table had made that clear. She then looked around the casino as the bartender set their drinks down and Rafael paid. He lifted his drink in a salute and she followed suit before sipping her martini.
“I ain’t neva been here before, no. It’s real beautiful though. Ya come here often?”
“Oh, I give plenty of my money to the owner.”
“I heard tha owna is an overlord. They call him tha gamblin demon?” Rafael nodded. “Ya know him?”
“We’re not close or anything but he’s a good host. I enjoy playing against him, he's a ruthless opponent. Very good at gambling, as one might imagine.”
“What’s he like,” Angie asked. The question sounded innocent enough but Husk heard the genuine interest in her voice. She actually wanted to know about him. He looked over at the two of them as Rafael gave a hearty chuckle.
“Well, you can decide for yourself. He’s sitting behind me.”
Alarm flashed on Angie’s face as her gaze shot over to Husk. It was quickly gone as she smiled at him instead. “I didn’t realize.”
“How could you,” Husk asked before addressing Rafael. “How are you this evening, Rafe?”
“Well, I was having a good time. I didn’t realize my companion was here to see you. I shouldn’t be surprised though. The hottest ones always are.” He sighed dramatically before taking Angie’s hand and kissing it. “It was a pleasure, my dear. Enjoy the rest of your evening.”
She tried to protest but Rafael left without further ado. The man wasn’t an idiot. Angie wasn’t either, she just hadn’t realized the demon she was inquiring after was sitting right next to her. She cleared her throat. “Well, that was awkward.”
Husk turned his stool towards her as he took a drink of his bourbon. She held steady under his gaze, not intimidated by him as many were. “So what can I do for you?”
She sighed. “Nothin.”
He raised a brow at her. “You seemed awfully interested a few moments ago.”
She flipped her hair over one shoulder, shrugging. “I was hopin if he pointed ya out, I could avoid ya.”
Husk laughed. “Honey, I noticed the moment you walked in. If you wanted to avoid attention you probably shouldn’t have worn something so… attractive.”
“I wasnt tryin ta avoid everyone’s attention,” she muttered.
“No, just mine. Is that so I wouldn’t notice you robbing and swindling my customers?”
She took a slow drink of her martini, watching him back. When she spoke again, her voice had lost the sweet honeyed tone. It sounded more natural to her and infinitely more sexy than the fake tone she’d employed on Rafael. “Ya goin ta punish me fa it?”
“On the contrary,” Husk responded. “That was good work, very impressive. How much do you think you made off of these idiots?”
She grinned at him. “I don’t know. Ya clients have more money than most a tha suckas I normally deal with.”
Husk picked up his drink so he could move over to the stool next to her. This close he could smell her perfume and he had an excellent view of all of her… assets. She smelled as good as she looked. Her gaze flicked to her winnings on the bar top. She had easily walked away from the table with five hundred dollars. All of which she had won with Rafael’s starter chip. Who knew how much she had stolen from the men at the craps table.
“How would you like to work for me?”
“Fa you? Doin what?”
“Distracting my customers. You may have been lucky for that shooter at the craps table but everyone else at the table lost a lot of money. They were too distracted by you to pay proper attention. The same thing happened at the blackjack table.”
She grimaced. “I mean, that sounds real fun. I had a good time tonight but…” She trailed off, averting her gaze.
Husk leaned in, her gaze quickly coming back to his. He ran the back of his hand up her arm, enjoying the way she shivered at his touch. “If it’s a good time you’re after, I can guarantee you that. Night after night.”
Her mouth curled up at the edges as she leaned in too. “I just bet ya could,” she purred. She stood, invading his space, her breast inches from his face. She placed her hands on his shoulders before leaning down to whisper in his ear. “Unfortunately, my time ain’t free.”
She turned, snatching her chips off of the bar before she tried to walk away. Husk snagged one of her wrists, forcing her to look back at him. “You’re welcome back any time, sweetheart.”
She smiled suggestively at him. “Ya might see me around.”
Husk released her wrist, watching her hips as she walked away from him. There was something dangerous about that woman. He wasn’t sure what exactly it was, but he sure hoped she came back. He’d love the opportunity to find out just what game she was playing with him.
