Drew a quick Bumblebee that transforms into a Pikachu on the board at work. The kids really just didn’t care…
The Beekachu was based on this drawing I did last year. It was a part of an AU in which the transformers land on the Pokémon world and assume the forms of Pokémon, Beast Wars style. The main bit would be the human kid (who can’t seem to catch a Pokemon) stumbling across a team of Autobots who are trying to blend in with other Pokemon while talking and turning into 30ft tall robots. The human takes them on as their team and shenanigans ensue.

Kid at work asked me what my favorite Digimon was so I showed them Omnimon/Omegamon. They asked me to draw it, but I have a general against reproducing existing characters and art. Specifically, I tell the kids that I get bored redrawing preexisting characters and want to try something new or different. The kid had already gone when I started drawing this so I couldn’t ask what changes I should make so instead I brought an idea had long ago to life. The kid was really into it so I would say it’s a win.

Kid at work wanted me to draw captain America, with a Digimon tilt. Unfortunately, they didn’t come right out and say that’s what they wanted. Instead, they asked me to draw a chest around the star they drew and then a head, and maybe a body then a shield and so on. A lot of kids will ask me to draw the outline of a body and then want to fill it in themselves, but this kid changed their mind part way in and I had to work on a weak base. That’s what I get for cutting corners out the gate.

A kid at work challenged me to a drawing contest with their dad. This kid regularly comes in, looks at what I am drawing and says stuff like “it’s fine. My dad is better.” They came in yesterday and said that they wanted me to draw something to see who does it better, me or the dad. They said he wanted a Charizard, but cooler. This was the result. I handed them the drawing, they said “that is cool,” and an hour later I found it on the floor. I guess I lost?

Some pro wrestling themed Pokemon I did last year. For clerical reasons, I have chosen to call these Rumble Pokemon. Not quite a regional variant, but definitely something.
We have Rumble Miltank, a Normal/Ghost type that is aligns itself with powerful and callous Pokemon. It carries a special jug of ectoplasmic milk that has the bizarre effect of RAISING THE DEAD (or at least the recently fainted).
Then there’s Rumble Machamp, a Fighting/Dark type that’s hard to keep down. Its tenacity makes it unflinching in the heat of battle, often giving the impression that the opponents hits aren’t having any effect. However, particularly effective moves will knock it down. It will lie still momentarily, lulling its opponent into a sense of relief, before sitting up suddenly and stunning the opponent in into a state of shock and confusion.

TF OC: Artifice Emperor
They were a Decepticon throughout the war, but they were stationed on an asteroid outpost that was quickly forgotten. They spent the duration of the war engaged in increasingly elaborate role-play battles with a team of Autobots stationed on the same asteroid. As a part of the LARP, they adopted “Artifice Emperor” as an edgy persona and never went back. Their bouts with the bots grew into deep friendship that outlasted the war. After “The Call” brought the scattered Cybertronians back to a newly reborn Cybertron, Artifice and friends wound up being invited to join the university being built in the ruins of the crashed Kimia satellite. Their dedication to “living an elaborate lie” earned their group the position of leading the Tradition of the Liege Maximo track at the university.
While at New Kimia University, Artifice was introduced to the possibility of becoming a Transmetal through a phenomenon being studied in the Tradition of Onyx track. Artifice opted into a partial transmetalification as the new look for their arm would add to their story arc.

I have worked with kids a lot and, at a time, I would do white board battles with them using doodles and dice. As a general rule, I told them they had to make up original characters so if they told me to draw an existing character, I would make a pun out of it and draw a silly picture to go with it. It would get a laugh out of them.

If the deployers had Digimon pendulums in place of cassettes. Maybe I’ll “finish” the image one day, but for now, it’s cute.
