the jonerys ao3 readers don't deserve its writers.

I absolutely love all the incredible writers in the fandom, I urge myself to always leave comments to show how much I appreciate their talent, I admire so many of them and most of times I feel angry for them, especially when I look at the comments of their fics.

That AO3 tag has definitely got overrun by incels, to the point of many writers leaving because of the constant harassment.

It goes from the ones who think they have the rights to dictate how a story should go and if things don't happen the way that they want to, then they resort to attacking the story and the writers, to the blatant misogynist disgusting bigots there who spill pure hate onto fics, or simply take time to write full Dany rape fics.

Not surprisingly, the hate happens on specific fics, the ones that have a Daenerys focus, the ones that write her as an independent woman, or dare to show her in relationships with other men, or talk about her former relationship with other men. They'll go absolutely feral if Daenerys is not shown to be someone who's inferior to Jon or has saved herself her whole for him. If the story doesn't have Jon being the only man in her life they'll claim anything they can to spill hate on it - that the tags should tell what happens, that the fic shouldn't be tagged Jonerys because it includes other ships or whatever they can think of to continue harassing. They like to assume things before the fic is even continued, so if the tags show Dany/Daario, they attack because they assume Jonerys insn't endgame.

If Dany has another relationship in what is a full 40 chapters long slow burn fic before getting with Jon, then of course Jon wouldn't want Whore Dany who spread her legs for another man, because how dare Dany being written as a woman who's not ashamed of being sexual.

If Dany is a single mom, then Jon shouldn't have to raise her bastards because she's a whore who had kids that aren't his.

If Dany is a opinated, strong character who doesn't bow down to Jon's then she's a bitch who should learn how to treat a "man".

Someone recently even called a writer a "R-slur Dany stan" because she wrote that Dany had a relationship with Daario in the beginning of a fic.

Most of those incels actually hate Daenerys, they just like to self insert as good guy Jon who should be written as a sexual god who fucks multiple woman (that's why you'll see harem fics of him, paired with every woman in the asoiaf universe) and that Dany should be submissive to him.

And the ones who don't believe that sexism is something in real world and that woman aren't oppressed.

Because they think some fics aren't "valuable", or writers lose credibility for putting Dany with other men.

I'm so tired of the negativity around there and I wish our writers were treated so much better because they provide us with escapism from canon with beautifully written fics.

Can anyone please please remind me how to filter out specific authors on ao3? There's this dumbass anti dany author that keeps tagging their fic Jon/daenerys so it comes up even when I filter out j*nsa, and they're being a complete dick and refusing to take it out of the jonerys tag when other people have asked them to remove it . My blood pressure rises whenever I see their name and their stories that paint dany as an abuser--you heard that right, dany is an abusive partner folks!--and I haven't figured out how to get rid of them in the search results so I don't have to look at em. I know I'm letting it get to me and I should just scroll past and ignore but god damn after that fucking betrayal of a finale I don't wanna see anything anti dany for my peace of mind.

Jonerys fic search

I’m looking for a specific Jonerys fic but I can’t remember the author or the title. I hope someone can help me with it.

I remeber a scene where Jon and Dany and their forces arrive at White Harbor. The Unsullied are put in some kind of tower or building or something and then someone in White Harbor sets fire to it with the Unsullied inside. Daenerys enters the burning building to help and she saves a child, one of the Manderlys I think?

Anyway, if you could tell me what it is, it would be great.

Okay, crazy idea but what if, to fix the mess that is season8, we, as in the entire Jonerys fandom - especially the numerous Jonerys authors - collaborate to write our version of season8 (or even starting from the end of season6 when Dany arrives in Westeros and a rewrite of season7 as well)? A version that we’ll consider canon.

I know that there are many different stories out here but what I have in mind is a collaborative work in which we can share ideas and decide together on how we want to end the series and then, those of us who can actually write, can get to write it?

I think I really need something like this. It would be theurapetic and cathartic as well.

I didn’t watch the episode and thank god for that, because after everything I heard, I just...I don’t have any words. I’m devastated.

I know it was going to happen, I had no hope left and yet...it still hurts very, very much. I have so many negative emotions, I don’t know where to start.

It really feels like I’m in mourning.

I know I said that I would continue to love Jonerys and write and read fanfiction about them, rewatching their scenes and the scenes with Dany but...I don’t know if I have the stregth. It all feels so meaningless now. Daenerys’ journey, her love for Jon, everything is just...without sense. It all feels so empty you know? The whole: ‘she has a good heart’ and ‘she protects people for monsters’ and ‘she’s not her father’, it’s all bullshit because they turned her into the opposite of everything she was and wanted to be. They killed her without killing her yet and I just...I’ve never been more negatively affected by a TV show like this before.

All I want to do right now is erase everything that has to do with Game of Thrones, this blog included.

I’ll give it a few more days, let’s see what happens but...I don’t think I’ll want to keep anything about Game of Thrones after this.

So, today is the day. I have to admit, I’m 99% sure that the bell leaks, or at least a version of it, are unfortunately true. I have the feeling that they’re really going for the MadQueen!Dany route, which is total bullshit but we can’t do anything about it.

I’ve reached the acceptance phase, more like resignation stage. I’ve decided that it doesn’t matter what they do.

I’ll always love Daenerys, I’ve never loved a female character as much as I love her and I’m not going to let them take this away from me. She could burn Westeros to the ground and I would love her still.

About Jonerys, yes I’m not happy with what they’re doing to Jon this season and of course I won’t be happy with him if she kills Dany but I will blame the writers for that and not Jon. I’ll still love Jonerys, no matter what, and I’ll just pretend the last two episodes of season8 never happened.

I’ve liked couples before, from other TV shows, movies, books etc but I’ve never felt like two people were more meant to be with each other than Jon and Daenerys and I will always stand by this opinion.

At first, when I’ve heard about the leaks, I was so disappointed, sad and furious that I’ve sworn I would forget GOT ever existed but I won’t do that. I will still love Dany and Jonerys, I will still read and write Jonerys fanfic and I will still rewatch my favorite Daenerys’ and Jonerys scenes. Like I said, I won’t let them take this away from me.

Of course, I think it’s obvious, I won’t watch the rest of the season (I haven’t even watched episode4 yet) unless I’ll hear it’s worth watching. For now it’s not and I’m pretty sure it won’t be.

Also, free advice? Don’t hope too much those Spanish leaks or the more positive Jonerys leaks are true because you will be devastated if they turn out to be false.

I was positive all week before episode4 but then I heard about the episode and I was crushed. Don’t do the same as me.

Theory about the rest of the season

Look, I’m probably completely wrong and the writing is simply really shitty and they’re really going the Mad Queen Dany way with Jon killing her in the end because she’s crazy.

But what if, all of this is just a huge smoke’s screen?

I mean, everyone is expecting Dany to go crazy at this point, even if they don’t know about the leaks. So wouldn’t this be way too predictable for the last two episodes of game of thrones?

Even if people don’t expect Jon to kill Dany, everyone still expects her to go crazy and then get killed because of it. It’s all over the news.

But what if, she’s simply being set up by Cersei? I can’t stop thinking about what Qyburn said to Bronn, that Cersei had other plans for the Dragon Queen. I really doubt her big plans were only about killing Missandei and Rhaegal. And how did Cersei know about Missandei anyway?

I think Cersei is not only going to blow up King’s Landing and put the blame on Dany, she’s also going to hire people - maybe Iron Borns? - to kill and rape people at random so that, even if Dany takes the throne, everyone is going to hate her.

It’s something that Cersei would definitely do, because she doesn’t care at all about the common people, in fact she doesn’t care about anyone but herself (and her child?) at this point.

If Cersei’s plan works, Daenerys’ reputation would be shattered. A lot of characters already think Dany’s going crazy just because she’s a Targaryen and we already saw in season7 Cersei trying (and succeeding) to ruin Daenerys’ reputation.

So the big WTF moment at this point wouldn’t be Daenerys going crazy because everyone already thinks it’s going to happen, the big WTF moment would be Tyrion’s betrayal.

I mean, think about it. How many people still expects Tyrion to betray them?

I keep reading stuff like Tyrion will betray Daenerys because she’s going crazy. Sure, let’s say that happens. Why is Tyrion on trial then? Jon, according to the leaks, will kill Dany but he doesn’t end up on trial? Only Tyrion?

Why is Tyrion betraying Dany if she’s crazy a bad thing worthy of a trial for treason? I’m sorry but I don’t buy that.

Also, the whole Sansa thing. If Sansa is really behaving like that simply because she hates Dany for no reason, that’s dumb and it doesn’t justify the fact that she betrayed Jon. She swore that she wouldn’t say anything (in front of a Weirwood tree no less) and five minutes later she’s telling everything to Tyrion? That’s unforgivable....unless, she’s starting to suspect that Tyrion’s a traitor and she wants to smoke him out.

Sansa would be the right person to find out that Tyrion is a traitor because she knows him almost better than everyone else. And that would definitely prove that Sansa is really smart after all because, as of right now, none of what she did really shows that she’s as smart as D&D and the characters in GOT keep saying she is.

I hope I’m right about this and that everything is just an illusion and that they’re leading us down the path they want us to before pulling the rug from under us otherwise this is really the worst season ever, the writing is shit and the ending would be a total distaster.

Still, I wouldn’t count too much on it at this point.

So, I was browsing through Freefolk. There’s this other guy, who’s a journalist or something, that said that he has a source that basically confirms most of what Sofia - the Spanish leaker - said.

Now, I’m still skeptical, mostly because I don’t want to set myself up for disappointment, and this guy could be totally lying but he said that his source is a different one from Sofia’s and while Sofia’s latest posts like Dany telling Jon she’s pregnant is not true, her initial outline is correct. This guy said that he knows other stuff that he can’t reveal because he needs to protect his source but it’s because of this info that he knows and can’t reveal that he’s rather sure this info is correct.

Bottom line is, Daenerys is being set up and Tyrion is a traitor who’s being conspiring against her for a long time.

Another important thing to remember, he said, it’s that Daenerys has lost everything and that all she has left is her love for Jon. That’s very important, he said, whatever it means.

Make of this what you will.
