La mode favorise l'emploi des boutons, au point de les multiplier sur les garnitures, et même de les substituer à celles-ci; la robe que représente notre dessin, est faite en alpaca gris argent; jupe unie; corsage-blouse, avec fermeture de boutons; épaulettes ornées de boutons; hauts poignets de manches, entièrement garnis de boutons.

Fashion favors the use of buttons, to the point of multiplying them on trims, and even substituting for them; the dress that our drawing represents is made of silver gray alpaca; plain skirt; bodice-blouse, with button closure; shoulder pads decorated with buttons; high sleeve cuffs, fully trimmed with buttons.
