i got tumblr bc i felt like i couldn’t talk to anyone about the stuff i was going through, about being gay and talking about the people i liked and stuff. i was pretty far in the closet and couldn’t really distinguish between someone manipulating me to come out vs them teasing me in a flirty way (it was the former). but i’ve developed a lot more since i downloaded this app (like a year ago??)

i’m almost completely publicly out now, and i know what it’s like to have a girl genuinely like me back. i’ve got a way to go but now i have an actual support network that i can turn to rather than silently venting into the gay void that is tumblr, which was never really that healthy for me anyway.

it was nice here, i made a couple friends, but this account and a lot of the posts on here only really serve as a tether back to a worse headspace and are kind of just embarrassing reminders of when i wasn’t as confident in who i am, so i’m dipping out now.

tumblr served its purpose for me, but i think i’m done with it for now.
