The next day was again peachy. You woke up, your eyes still a little grimy from last night's crying. What if you didn’t show up to sword practice today? Or you simply didn’t leave your bed at all. No, not leaving your bed would eventually just make you feel worse than how you’re feeling currently, so you have to get out. You didn’t have a shift at the infirmary today though, so perhaps you should just go to sword practice, eat breakfast and lock yourself away afterwards. That seemed like a good midway - maybe starting your day would let the blues leave.
So out you went, got dressed, got to the training arena, faced Sherman, not Nico, showed up to breakfast, ate something, waved at Will, didn’t feel any better. The day continued and around three in the afternoon you called it quits. It didn’t matter what you tried to do- nothing was giving you satisfaction, or felt like it was useful. Throughout the day your brain decided to suggest other activities that might be worth your time more than whatever you were doing, but those activities seemed to be even worse than what your initial plan was for the day. It was dreadful. Therefore, maybe doing nothing would feel good.
Thus there you were, laying on top of your blanket, in your bed. Nobody else was in the cabin, and you were grateful for it. You had, as a good intention, grabbed your journal and a book you were currently reading, for perhaps your bed would give you enough comfort to do something. It hadn’t, however you kept the two near just in case someone would walk in. You would be able to quickly grab either and pretend to be busy to dodge any questions or requests. Or, at the least, you hoped you wouldn’t look like a depressed little shit. So, you just laid there, sometimes urging yourself to pick up the book, only to stare at the same page for ten minutes before closing your eyes. Eventually the dinner bell rang and you got up, head a little painful. You felt tired, but food might help?
Food did help, at least with your energy level. You even found yourself a little excited to go to the campfire, more or less unable to say no to your friends. And you had spotted Nico sitting with Mr. D, and Will at the Apollo table so maybe you would be able to sit with them.
Yet, as you made your way to the campfire surrounded by some of your friends, you didn’t see your boyfriends. After a bit you spotted Will with his siblings- ah, of course they would lead the campfire songs. He didn’t look at you, so you looked away. You couldn’t find Nico, but he might have gone to bed early.
Gods you were touch starved. Even the warmth of the campfire couldn’t make you pretend that your boyfriends were near, and the fact that that was the first thought in your mind was upsetting. You indulged in conversation with your siblings for a bit, but still, seeing Will so far away, it just made you want to lock him, Nico and yourself up in your room, in your bed and be cozy.
And you truly thought you were making it up when Nico sat down next to you, and pressed a kiss on your cheek. After a moment of surprise you smiled at your boyfriend.
“What are you doing back?” you asked as you reached for Nico’s hand, which he gladly gave you. “I missed you and Will,” Nico looked you over, “and I’ve been worried about you.” a pit formed in your chest, as you tried to laugh it off. “Why?” you didn’t like how your voice trembled just there, “I’ve been fine.” you tried to correct your tone, to no avail. Nico shook his head. “Don’t lie to me.” his tone was angrier than he was expecting it to be. He had known you were feeling less than okay from the date yesterday, and he realized how little he had seen you in the past weeks. He had missed Will and you and when he saw you in passing today you looked miserable, but then he hadn’t been able to find you again during the day and he got roped in the last few things he wanted to do for the troglodytes, so this was the first time he got to you again. Seeing you made his heart a little lighter, but his worry bigger. You were radiating yearning and he had seen you stare at Will from across the amphitheater. Either way, he could see that his tone had affected you, as you were no longer smiling, but instead staring at him, sadness barely contained behind your eyes, guards up.
You weren’t saying anything, and Nico knew the feeling too. Instead he decided to stand up, tugging at your hand without words. He made eye contact with Will, and beckoned him over. Will took a moment, laughing as his siblings probably teased him, before he walked around the campfire towards the two of you.
“What’s up with the two most beautiful people in the world?” he asked, although he could clearly sense the tension between the two of you. You looked away from your boyfriends, not wanting to face them just yet.
“We’re going to have an intervention,” Nico said casually, and he squeezed your hand, “You coming?” You didn’t know, but Will nodded as he looked at you. He had been worried too, and this morning he had found Nico, but not you, and talked with him about how weirdly distant you felt. He knew he hadn’t found much time for you recently, and felt bad, but he did hope you would come to him if you truly felt bad, or if you at least felt ready to deal with your feelings. He hated forcing emotions out of people, but it hurt him to see you hurting. Will walked wordlessly to your other side, grabbed your hand as you looked up. You were met with a worried smile of your lover, before he softly kissed you on the cheek. “Let’s get this strong one checked out, huh.” His words were soft as your boyfriends led you to the Hades cabin.
It hadn’t taken long to walk to the cabin, but when the warmth of the campfire was removed it seemed as if the cold hit twice as hard. You didn’t want to do this- but then again isn’t this what you had wanted? Alone time with your boyfriends? You had thought that they didn’t know, or wouldn’t notice but of course they do. Your significant others loved you, and would notice it whenever you’re unwell.
So you walked into the Hades cabin, the lovers on your side moving to stand in front of you, neither letting go of you as they grabbed each other's hands, completing the circle. Your boyfriends looked at you, hoping you would start talking, telling them what was wrong. Instead, you tried to push their worries away.
“I am fine, now that we’re all together.” your voice wavered, but you smiled, unaware of it not reaching your eyes. Nico wanted to call out your lie again, but decided to change strategies. “You’re allowed to feel bad, love.” Nico spoke softly, careful with his tone, “ You can talk about it, or not- that’s up to you but at least let yourself feel bad. Don’t force yourself to have a good day, like you did yesterday, or feel good.” “I wasn’t forcing myself,” you objected, “the day truly got better when I hung out with you!” “But afterwards? Or today?” Nico squeezed your hand, a knowing look on his face, “You’ve been feeling bad for longer and going on a date isn’t going to fix that.” “But it helped.” your voice was quiet, “I didn’t want to ruin our first outing like that.” “It might’ve helped, still it doesn’t mean we’re not worried.” Nico matched his voice to yours, and as a short silence fell Will spoke up.
“And you should talk to us, or anyone, even if it would ‘ruin’ a date.” Will sucked in a breath, “I know it sucks to hurt- but we would be more worried if you didn’t tell us than if you do. We care about you and want to know when you’re unwell.” There was a lot of emotion in his voice, but after his little speech the room got quiet again. He let go of your and Nico’s hands as he cupped your cheeks.
“What do you need?” Will asked, wanting to leave behind his doctor ways of prescribing help. Will acknowledge that this time you were the only one who would know how to help yourself.
“I don’t know.” you choked back tears, you did know. It wouldn’t fix anything in the long term, but it would make you feel better.  “cuddles?” your voice came out as a whisper, gone from the emotions you were feeling. Will smiled, as he softly gave you an ‘of course, love’ and intertwined his hand with yours. Nico silently propped up the pillows on his bed, before guiding you to sit next to him. As you sat down you leaned your head on Nico’s shoulder, as he put his arm around your shoulder.
Will laid his head on your shoulder, still tightly holding your hand and leaning on to you. You didn’t want to move- but hiccups shook your body as you let out more tears, slowly you moved your legs up, going more into a fetal position as you leaned further into Nico, but Will pushed your legs softly downwards a little, refusing to let you curl up.
“It will feel better, I promise.” he said as he looked you in the eye. He put his palm under your chin, using his thumb to move away some of the tears. It was futile- more were forming and falling while he did it, but he tried anyways, lovingly, catching them, catching you. His face was one of concern and so, so much love, as he made a final effort of clearing your face of tears by pressing a kiss on your cheek before once again leaning against you, his head on your shoulder.
Nico’s grip on you tightened, but he was unsure of what he could do, and wanted to do. If Nico was honest, he hadn’t gotten much, if any comfort previous to dating Will and you whenever he had breakdowns. He didn’t know how he could help- he just understood the need to be independent, and the relief when he found out he didn’t have to be that anymore. This wasn’t about him, but he would need to be told what you needed before acting.
Nico felt guilty, most of all. Perhaps if he had kept you closer he would’ve noticed sooner, he was often the most perceptive of the three of you. Then again, you knew how important communication was, and he knew how hard it was to communicate. The cycle of emotions would never go without its stumbles, and next time Nico swore to himself he would catch you. He would much rather fall with you, and find you at the bottom of a spiral. So he held you, and would hold you until you were steady again, and hopefully long after, he would hold you in his embrace.
Will was, although worried, contend with this right now. He didn’t want to admit feeling some tears of his own form, but he blinked them away. He held you a little closer, and slowly felt your body calm down. Will had been worried, and he had missed you and Nico. Perhaps, he should’ve been blaming someone for not taking care of you- whether it be you or himself, but he simply didn’t think that would help anyone, solve anything. Instead, he would focus on your breathing. He noted that he should get you some water soon- make sure you stay hydrated, and your hand was unusually cold, but it might have been the stress causing that. If anything, Will was planning ahead- ways to make you slowly feel better, and of course, ways to converse about these topics without upsetting you. He loved you too much to not want to build you up from the ground, and admire your true smile once more. And you? Finally letting out your feelings, telling your boyfriends, being held by the loves of your lives? You weren’t sure- this was nice, but what if it was temporary? You wanted to feel guilty, but could you really when they clearly wanted to be there for you, when they did this for you? All you knew right now was that you were in the arms of those you hold so dear and you were warm, warm, warm.

Better Times p. 1
As I have noticed people on this blog often don't read the longer works I split this one up. Happy birthday to me, y'all are getting hurt >;-) Pairing: Poly!Solangelo x gn!reader, Will Solace x reader x Nico di Angelo Request: halli hallo~ ^^ i wanted to ask if i could request something for solangelo x reader? i'm not sure if your requests are open, i couldn't find anything that said otherwise, maybe i read over it, or forgot a page? if that is the case i apologize! but if they are open, then i was thinking that the reader is just having an off week in general, things are just not going their way, and worst of all, their boyfriends are busy TwT then when the week is over, one of them senses that there's something wrong with the reader, but as soon as they get asked what's wrong, they just start full on sobbing- cuddling ensues? TwT solangelo is my biggest source of comfort right now, and the posts of them from this blog are always so cute and fluffy ^^ Word count: 1.8k Warnings: bad feelings, sad feelings, hurt (not yet comfort). -Asnyox Part 2

You would think that living at camp wouldn’t necessarily be more stressful than going out in the ‘real’ world. However, the distinction between chores and free time was non-existent. Therefore, you weren’t sure whether you were supposed to be working, taking time off and most of all forcing your boyfriends to take a break with you. It was impossible to convince them, because either of them had good reasons that what they were doing wasn’t too exerting of them, or should be put off until after you hung out. For Nico and Will finishing their duties meant free time, and the problem here was that it felt as if they were never finished with their duties, and neither were you.
In short, you would have loved to spend some time with your boyfriends. Yet, Nico was busy relocating the troglodytes after their old home got destroyed, and Will was busy restocking the infirmary before summer. You were busy, being alone. You didn’t blame your boyfriends, of course they were allowed their own lives and tasks, and you respected that they were capable of doing their own tasks. You would just have liked to be able to relax with them for a bit, just a hug perhaps.
It came to the point where Nico even paused your morning sword training sessions (did those count as a free time activity?), and Sherman stepped up to the game. You tried to kindly decline, but he didn’t take no for an answer. After your initial problems when training with Sherman, he seemed to have calmed down and gotten to a more ‘teaching’ approach. However, this did not mean that he would be pulling punches, or slashes in the case of sword fighting.
That was how you ended up in the infirmary, under the worried gaze of your lover. Will carefully stitched the slash on your arm as you tried to stay silent. This was the most one-on-one attention you had gotten from Will in what felt like weeks, and you wanted it to not be a worrying experience for Will. Who were you kidding though, you were hurt so of course Will was worried.
“Here, eat this,” Will softly held some ambrosia to your mouth. You carefully put your lips around it, grazing Will’s fingers in a soft kiss. Will used his other hand to grab your jaw, his thumb slowly moving over your cheek. You wished Will would kiss your wounds better, but he didn’t seem to get the hint.
“Thanks,” you breathed and Will’s worried eyes softened. “Maybe you should wait with training until Nico gets back,” Will looked at you intensely, “You know, he might get jealous if you keep training with Sherman?” you laughed, although you wished Nico was there to get jealous, and take you away, and spend time with you. You hoped it didn’t show on your face. “Well I need to keep up,” you tried to push away the flutter in your chest, “You never know when a Sherman shaped monster tries to get me,” then you sighed, “I wish Nico was here more, but I know he’s busy.” Will hummed, as he turned to put away some of the supplies he used.
“We can maybe plan a date soon.” Will suggested, “We all have been busy for a while now, it would be nice to just have some time with the three of us.” You nodded in agreement, starting to stand up. “Do you have anything planned outside of your infirmary shifts?” Will asked as he looked at you. “Training with Sherman, mostly. Everything else I can probably move.” you said and Will nodded. “Cool, me too. Whoever sees Nico first plans the date then?” he asked and you nodded again. But as you left the infirmary you already missed the shine of Will’s smile, and you sighed as you felt an unexplainable sadness in your chest. You considered turning back for a moment, before you noticed hurt campers coming your way. Right, Will was working and did not need a distraction. You moved out of the way, not sure where you were going.
Just suck it up, you thought. You did not need to add to their list of chores. You were going to be fine.
But, as you were laying on your bed, staring at the ceiling of your cabin, you realized something. You were tired, wanted to cry, and still had tasks to do. So, you decided to make a deal with yourself. If you finished your tasks, you could skip the campfire and indulge in some healthy letting-your-emotions-out time, on your own. Sighing you sat up, took a breath, and went to face the world.
Maybe you wanted to share some parts, but that would once again make it about you. If you could simply make today a good day then it will start getting better right, slowly? Just one good day, filled with love, spent with your boyfriends.
Will was the one to catch Nico, and informed you that all three of you had time for a date a few days later. You hadn’t looked forward to the wait, but a few days was at least a set time instead of wallowing in the impossibility of seeing your lovers ever. Yet, as you met up with them, Nico didn’t seem too happy to see you. He wasn’t smiling, instead he stared at you intently.
“(Y/n), love, are you okay?” he asked when you were within earshot. Will was next to Nico, already holding his hand. Nico wasn’t sure how to breach the topic, but Will and him had talked for a moment already and Will had voiced his worry about you not sharing your troubles. Nico saw what he meant, you looked restless and tired at the same time and there must have been something going on.
“I’ve been,” you hesitated, “... tired.” Was this really the moment to admit it? You had been so strong for the week, and you just wanted some chill, fun time with your boyfriends. So, even if you felt like if you closed your eyes you might either sleep or cry, perhaps both, you didn’t want to talk about your emotions. Talking about them meant feeling them, and feeling was an activity you weren’t affording yourself right now. You want to feel fine, perhaps get a kiss, and move on so you could get these emotions out in a way that wouldn’t upset your boyfriends.
Not that they would ever be upset about you having feelings, no, you didn’t want them to spend the day meant for fun times feeling bad about the fact that you perhaps had missed them, had felt a bit neglected in the past week. You knew they would feel guilty about not noticing your mental state deteriorate in the past week, or that you hadn’t told them about your breakdowns at night, or that you had not considered asking for as much as a hug in the past week because if you were to be safely in the arms of one of your lovers, you knew you would not be able to hold in the tears and hold up the walls that barely contained your emotions. These walls would need to keep standing until after you forcefully had fun with your boyfriends on a cute date with no emotional baggage shared. You wanted to be happy today. But-
“Are you sure that’s all?” Nico’s voice broke your thoughts. “Yes!” you answered a little too quickly, “Let’s get going, okay? We can talk more when we’ve put out everything for the picnic. Would hate to have our date cut short by the dinner bell, right?” Your boyfriends exchanged a look. “Are you sure, love?” Will grabbed your hand, “we can always hold the picnic in Nico’s cabin, have a bit more comfort.” You sighed, before softly grabbing Will’s face, and pressing a kiss on his lips. “All I am sure of is that I just want the comfort of my boyfriends during a picnic,” you smiled softly, feeling slightly undone by the kiss you just instigated. Oh, how you had longed for that, “Okay?”
So, you went out together. The sun shined on you and you could feel how it was energizing you. The blanket was laid down, the food spread out, and most importantly, you were sitting between your boyfriends for the first time in a long while.
Between the strawberries, hand holding and cuddles you finally felt at ease. You were glad that neither of your boyfriends pressed the matter of your well-being, even if you found them staring at you a little more than usual. But it was nice, conversation flowed freely.
“How have the troglodytes been?” you asked, and Nico perked up. “They’re adjusting really well!” Nico probably was unaware that he was smiling. He tended to look younger when he got excited, and he truly did love the troglodytes, “They had been sad about losing some of the hats but have found ways that even I don’t know yet to get new hats.” “That’s cute.” Will said, although you knew he had had some reservations considering the troglodyte business- mostly because he didn’t like how Nico somehow always seemed paler whenever he came back from visiting them, as if Nico didn’t take good care of himself when he went to them. “It truly is,” Nico hummed, “maybe we could visit them someday.” you could see that he was excited for the prospect. “Maybe,” Will said and you hit him lightly on his arm. “I would love to, Nico.” you told him, and Nico nodded, a little less excited at Will’s answer.
Eventually the sun started shining a little less, and you knew the day was coming to an end, feeling dread form as you were packing up. You kissed your boyfriends, before each of you went to your respective tables at the dining hall. Nico had said he still had to fix something with the troglodytes, one of the last things he promised. Will had offered to sit together at the campfire with you today, but you truly did feel tired. You couldn’t pinpoint why, so you excused yourself quickly, brushing off Will’s worried inquiries, before going to your cabin, laying in your bed. Today was fun, and good, yet you still felt like sobbing. Tears were already forming as you simply thought about the fun times you had during the day, the soft kisses and how your boyfriends looked at you. Gods, you loved them so much, but why were you crying? If today was good, why wouldn’t it fix whatever made you feel like this? Why, why, why?

After you had helped Nico finally convince Percy to go take a dip in the river Styx, you returned to camp. It wasn’t your place to accompany Nico and Percy on this quest, you would be either in the way or in danger and as camp was already running low on resources you were needed. You only hoped you would see them again. You had wanted to ask Nico to stay, but you knew he wouldn’t, not yet at least. Unbeknownst to you, Nico had wanted you to go on this quest with him, he knew he longed for some companionship especially besides Percy. For some reason, even in the fleeting moments he saw you, he always felt more at peace. Maybe, in this rigid world, you could be an anchor for him, a home.
Unbeknownst to you, Nico had wanted you to go on this quest with him, he knew he longed for some companionship besides Percy, as being next to Percy made him nervous. Besides this, there was still a risk involved and Nico knew that Percy did not trust him entirely. He didn’t blame the son of Poseidon, but somewhere along the way he had started considering you a friendly face, and that is something he did not see a lot of.
But Nico did not dare to even consider asking you to join, he only brought hurt to those around him. He did not deserve to have you next to him. Instead, he urged you to stay at camp, the camp that betrayed him but could be a shield for you. Some protection that he knew he could not offer you if you were next to him.
As you made your way out of the forest, you felt restless. Sure, you did your part, you helped Nico and reinforced your bond with him, but still. He was to go on this quest practically alone, he is just a boy, and he should not have to deal with all of this. No one should. But how do you offer help to those convinced that they don’t deserve it? You really hoped that he would be alright- and Percy too. It was unfair how the world seemed to treat the children of the big three, but what can they do except try to survive the horrors thrown their way. As these thoughts plagued you, you made your way back to the infirmary, figuring that you should make yourself useful again.
“How did it go?” Will asked as you approached him in the infirmary. “Percy agreed, I really hope Nico is right about this.” You sighed and Will. “Do you not trust him?” Will quirked his eyebrow. “I think I do, but the plan is just dangerous and if something goes wrong-” you sighed, “everything is just so tense.” “It’ll be fine,” Will tried to reassure you. He knew he couldn’t promise much, not after he lost his brother, Lee Fletcher, a few months ago. There were currently many responsibilities on his shoulders, and you felt for him. It wasn’t much, but you did want to help- even if it simply meant not making him worried about you.
Preparing while waiting for Percy to come back wasn’t easy. You had no doubts in Nico- you knew he would not betray anyone like that, or at least you opted to believe that. You started helping the Apollo campers prep healers kits- one for anyone who wasn’t half bad with the kit, plus extras just in case. You got a weapon from the weapon shed and made sure it was easily accessible. Yet, as the preparations started coming to an end, and everyone stood ready to leave camp and go to war. Except for the Ares cabin. Clarisse had decided to not even show her face outside of the cabin, and everyone was nervous about them not joining. Yet, that was forgotten as Percy reappeared in camp. You weren’t there when he arrived, however it didn’t take long before you passed by the son of Poseidon.
Percy’s gaze towards you made you stop in your tracks. Was there something wrong? He gestured to you to follow him, and as you looked around and saw no one else, you walked his way.
“Did you know?” Percy asked as soon as there was no one around. You had never felt intimidated by the son of Poseidon, but as his stormy eyes focused on you, you wished to run away from him. Unconsciously you stepped back, without answering his question, so Percy spat out the next one.  “Are you the traitor?” Percy felt angry, Nico’s betrayal in the underworld had not left his mind, and he wanted to focus on more important matters now but he couldn’t.
“Traitor?” you got out, and you shook your head, “Is Nico okay?” you asked Percy. Something must have happened while Percy got the curse of Achilles, and you hoped your friend was alright. “Nico is fine.” Percy bluntly said, “(Y/n), were you aware of Hades’ plan to capture me?” Your eyes widened at Percy’s words. “No, I didn’t know-” something, camp matters, something, Silena intervenes.
“Percy, that’s enough.” a voice spoke up, and you quickly saw Silena Beauregarde standing there, but Percy did not pay her any mind, his eyes still on you, “Percy, it is no use trying to figure out who the traitor is. If it’s (Y/n), they won’t tell, and if it’s not they won’t convince you, right?” Percy huffed, but his stance relaxed a little as he took a step back, listening to Silena. “When we’re out there- I need you to stay safe.” Will grasped your shoulder, “I know we’re not from the same cabin, but please try your best to not get injured.” “I promise,” you grabbed Will’s hand off your shoulder, let it down and hugged him, “Promise me you will be safe too?” You slowly let him go and he nodded. Will hoped that his heart beat would calm soon - certainly it was because he was anxious about the fight - and he stepped away. “Let’s go.” he pressed a first aid’s kit into your hands, as you joined the other campers to head out.

You both re-entered the clearing, followed closely by an overly excited Mrs. O’Leary.
"No problem, I've got worse enemies than overweight satyrs." You overheard Percy saying. Nico was the first of you two to speak up, letting your presence be known to the demigod and tree nymph.
"Good job, Percy. Judging from the trail of goat pellets, I'd say you shook him up pretty well." You could see clearly that Percy was nervous as he tried to smile. You were aware that Nico had made it pretty clear to Percy what his plan was, and if you were in this kid’s shoes you would have been nervous too. Luckily, you were just an idiot tagging along in the plan.
"Welcome back. Did you come by just to see Juniper? And who is your friend?" Nico blushed and you wondered whether it was about the friend thing, or about Juniper.
"This is (Y/n), and um, no. That was an accident. I kind of . . . dropped into the middle of their conversation." Blushing out of embarrassment then, you inwardly cheered. He also did not deny the friend comment you happily noted.
"He scared us to death!" Juniper said. "Right out of the shadows. But, Nico, you are the son of Hades and all. Are you sure you haven't heard anything about Grover?" Nico shifted his weight. Ah, she must have been crying worried over her lover. You had caught some of the stories around camp, however you did not know any of these people personally, so you tended to mind your own business.
"Juniper, like I tried to tell you . . . even if Grover died, he would reincarnate into something else in nature. I can't sense things like that, only mortal souls." "But if you do hear anything?" she pleaded, putting her hand on his arm. "Anything at all?" Nico's cheeks got even brighter red. "Uh, you bet. I'll keep my ears open."
"We'll find him, Juniper," Percy promised. "Grover's alive, I'm sure. There must be a simple reason why he hasn't contacted us." She nodded glumly. "I hate not being able to leave the forest. He could be anywhere, and I'm stuck here waiting. Oh, if that silly goat has gotten himself hurt—" Mrs. O'Leary bounded back over and took an interest in Juniper's dress. Juniper yelped. "Oh, no you don't! I know about dogs and trees. I'm gone!" She went poof into green mist. You gaped at her disappearance, never having gotten close to a tree nymph before.
Mrs. O'Leary looked disappointed, but she lumbered off to find another target, leaving Nico, Percy and me alone. Nico tapped his sword on the ground. A tiny mound of animal bones erupted from the dirt. They knit themselves together into a skeletal field mouse and scampered off. You were impressed by his control, but truly you felt as if this shouldn’t have come as a surprise.
"I was sorry to hear about Beckendorf." Nico said and you downcast your gaze, having heard the news quiet recently. This was one of the first people from camp that you knew who died, and the news had taken a toll on camp.
"How did you—" Percy started, and you were reminded that he was there with Beckendorf on the ship. "I talked to his ghost." So the rumours about Nico’s powers were true – he could actually converse with the dead. "Oh . . . right." "Did he say anything?"
"He doesn't blame you. He figured you'd be beating yourself up, and he said you shouldn't." "Is he going to try for rebirth?" Nico shook his head.
"He's staying in Elysium. Said he's waiting for someone. Not sure what he meant, but he seems okay with death." You weren’t sure how to feel about these developments, but before you could give it much thought Percy started talking again.
"I had a vision you were on Mount Tarn," he told Nico. "Was that—"
"Real," Nico said. "I didn't mean to be spying on the Titans, but I was in the neighbourhood." "Doing what?"
Nico tugged at his sword belt. "Following a lead on . . . you know, my family." Percy nodded. You side eyed your friend, wanting the ask for an elaboration. However, you had felt him close the moment Percy started asking questions to him. You had heard a whisper about a sister, but there was nothing you could go off from. Nico was a mystery to you and you wished you could unravel it.
"So how did it go?" Percy asked. "Any luck?"
"No," he murmured. "But I may have a new lead soon."
"What's the lead?"
Nico chewed his lip. "That's not important right now. You know why I'm here." You saw Percy’s face fall. You knew Nico wanted you to help convince Percy, but you had barely exchanged a word with the son of Poseidon before. What were you supposed to do? Tell him you would safe him from being stabbed?
"Nico, I don't know," Percy said. "It seems pretty extreme."
"You've got Typhon coming in, what . . . a week? Most of the other Titans are unleashed now and on Kronos's side. Maybe it's time to think extreme." Nico looked towards you as to urge you to help him. You stepped forward.
“If I may, Percy, “ you looked the son of Poseidon in the eye, surprised by the distrust in them, “I’ve been at camp since April – if Nico hadn’t brought me here I would have been dead and I know that even with how hard I – we – camp has been working,” you heard sounds of fighting in the distance, “I fear we are hardly a match for the Titan army.” Nico nodded in agreement.
“This comes down to you and Luke. And there's only one way you can beat Luke We can give you the same power," Nico urged. "You heard the Great Prophecy. Unless you want to have your soul reaped by a cursed blade . . ." You hadn’t heard the prophecy fully yourself – around camp it was deemed a kind off taboo to mention or talk about.
“You can't prevent a prophecy," Percy said.
"But you can fight it." Nico had a strange, hungry light m his eyes. "You can become invincible."
"Maybe we should wait. Try to fight without—"
"No!" Nico snarled. "It has to be now!" You were startled at his outburst – but you did agree with him.
"Urn, you sure you're okay?" Percy asked and you threw him a wary look.
“Percy, look,” you started as you noticed Nico taking a deep breath, “It will be significantly harder, maybe even impossible to take this journey when the fighting starts. Maybe even too late- if you want to prevent any more losses, deaths on our side you must go now.”
“I'm sorry if I'm being too pushy,” Nico’s gaze was strict towards Percy, “but two years ago my sister gave her life to protect you. I want you to honour that. Do whatever it takes to stay alive and defeat Kronos”
"All right," Percy decided. "What do we do first?"

Usually, the Argo II monthly meetings are a casual thing, no one ever has plans in advance as to what they'll do once they're there. So it's pretty damn weird when you show up with a whole cake, a massive bag of snacks, and decorations.
"Cake!" Percy approaches to help you with the stuff. "Nice."
"What's all that for?" Frank asks with curiosity.
"My birthday," you replie casually.
Leo chokes on his drink while Annabeth stiffens in place, everyone else lets out different types of replies in various levels of panic and feigned exclamations of "Right, Frank! It's their birthday, don't tell us you forgot!" Everyone except Jason, Nico, and Will, of course, they all had marked the day in advance.
"Happy birthday!" Jason approaches with a sweet smile and gives you a crushing bear hug and a birthday bag.
"Thank you, man!" You smile happily, dropping the snack bag and the decorations on the table.
"We need tape!" Percy quickly gets up and walks to the door. "I'll get it!"
Annabeth grabs her cap and puts it on, instantly disappearing. Piper pretends to take a phone call and leaves while Leo rummages inside his tool belt. Hazel stretches a hand behind her chair and pulls literal treasure from the ground while Frank fidgets beside her trying to come up with something.
Nico and Will approach you, giving everyone else time to recover. Nico goes first, handing out his carefully wrapped present. He encourages you to open it—mostly to give everyone else a chance to find something—and inside you find a bag of rock-shaped chocolates of different colors and sizes and a whole new limited-edition deck of Mythomagic.
"Rocks!" You smile. "Thanks!"
Will goes next and hands you an envelope. "I thought it'd be nice to stretch out the celebration for another day."
"What?" You tilt your head in confusion and take a peak inside the envelope. "Ohhh!" You pull out three tickets to the newest Broadway show you once mentioned you were interested in watching. "Will!"
"Don't even," he brushes it aside. "Sponsored by dad, he says hi and happy birthday, by the way."
"Tell him I say hi back and thanks a lot!" You look at the tickets again. "There are three tickets here..."
Will blushes and clears his throat. "Yeah, I uhm—I don't know if it's okay with you, like, you can say no if you want to, but I thought we could go together?" He signals at you and Nico. "Like... us."
Nico gives Will a look but his boyfriend pretends not to see it, smiling at you bashfully.
"Oh," you feel fuzzy inside but quickly brush it off before getting the wrong idea. "That's really sweet that you want to escort me, thank you."
"Don't say it like that," Will laughs, though it comes out a bit too loud. "It's more like... a hangout. Right, Nico?"
"What he said," the boy says plainly, a light pinkish blush on his face.
You open your mouth to reply but someone storms into the rec room, screaming and stomping his hooves down the stairs. "I HEARD SOMEONE'S A YEAR OLDER TODAY!"
Hedge shows up at the foot of the stairs and happily makes his way to you, roughly patting your back and rambling about how small you were before and how proud he is that he's seen you grow (he literally never saw you as a child).
His present is a pocket knife and a survival guide that looks suspiciously hand-made by the satyr, but you can appreciate the effort, and it's a really cool gift anyway, so you smile and thank him for his presents.
Jason is next, and his gift makes your jaw drop to the floor as you open it, it's the official plushie of that one blorbo you've been yapping about for the past six months. "Where did you even get that? It's not supposed to be out for another two months!"
"I know a guy," he winks at you grinning. Then he pulls out a birthday card. "This is from Bobby, he couldn't make it but sends you his best wishes."
"This is awesome, Jason," you squeeze the plushie in your arms and hold the card carefully. Nico and Will look a bit pouty for a moment, but you overlook that.
"Sorry for that! It was my girlfriend, I had to pick up," Piper reenters the room, holding a large stick in her hand. "Here's your present, Y/N."
"A stick!" You beam, taking it from her very carefully. "My favorite!"
"It's not just any stick," Piper smiles, adopting a dramatic tone. "That is a friendship stick, Granpa says we give those to our closest friends to represent we are branches from the same tree."
"Why didn't I get a stick last year?" Leo frowns.
"Not now, dude," Piper mutters.
"That's so sweet and original," Will says with a knowing smirk. "I really like how that stick looks made exactly from the same wood the tree outside the Big House."
"All wood looks the same, Will," Piper states curtly.
"I disagree."
"Tape!" Percy returns holding the small roll. He also has a plushie shark under his arm with a blue ribbon around the chubby head. "Happy birthday, Y/N!"
When he hands the plushie, you can feel the slightly damp texture and you pause. "Is this wet?"
"It's part of the charm, don't question it," Percy replies without facing you, picking up the decorations and hanging them around the room.
"My plushie was better," Jason mutters, also picking up a few decorations.
"HA-HA, this is not a competition, superman!" Percy says tensely, then mutters. "If it were Nico would find the way to cheat..."
"For the last time, it was a fair tactic—"
"Happy birthday, Y/N, here's a crystal to make sure the stick and the damp plushie aren't haunted," Hazel gives you a nice lavender rock that you happily put next to your chocolate rocks.
"My present didn't arrive on time," Frank blurts out anxiously. "Amazon misplaced it. You know they hate me there."
"No worries, Frank, I get it," you smile innocently.
"Well, anyway, you got the lame presents out of the way, here's mine," Leo hands you something that looks very much like an explosive. "Why don't you open it like, over there, away from us?"
You stare at him a moment, but Leo would never actually murder you, no matter how much he threatens to do it, so you shrug and walk over to the table where you previously left the cake. "Sure."
Everyone gives Leo nervous glances while he keeps a smile on his face, which isn't really calming since he has a very unnerving grin. You press on the switch, and from the bomb erupts a massive amount of colorful confetti that spreads all over the table and the floor.
"Ohhh fun!" You exclaim.
"Oh, thank gods," Leo mumbles, his shoulders falling with relief. Then he raises his voice. "See? Now it's a real party!"
Piper puts some music on and everyone gathers to get cake, and play board games, Annabeth comes back after two full hours claiming she was upstairs in the bathroom.
"It's lady stuff, Valdez, stay out of my business," Annabeth snaps after the boy tries to question her. "Anyway, happy birthday, Y/N."
She gives you a properly wrapped present—in the newspaper, because eco-friendly—and inside you find one of the books you've been dying to buy for the past year, hardcover and collector's edition.
"Wow, guys, I wasn't expecting all of you to have presents for me," you smile big, looking at all the cool stuff your friends gave you. "This is the best birthday ever!"
Everyone shares slightly guilty looks but say nothing, giving you a second round of hugs. Jason makes sure everyone writes down the date before leaving so this doesn't happen again.

Tumblr media

Chapter III; friends
I did not forget about this thing that I started. I just wanted to keep it as something I could upload if I ever couldn't write for a bit and I guess we're finally there!
Mind you, I only have two chapters finished so this won't last long. If anything, I might take a bit of a break from the blog because of the many deadlines I have coming up. See me return around the end of June if all goes right.

You hadn’t been sure about Nico’s plan. Back in April, he had asked you for help, and after that he disappeared, only showing up to give you a definite date and an approximate where to be. You trusted Nico, or at least you thought that you did. For this plan you had to learn quickly how to heal- you were supposedly going to be a backup if his plan would fail.
Against Nico’s request you had told Will – one of the few campers you were entirely sure you could trust with your life. In the past few months, you had spent almost every minute of the day alongside Will, learning the ways of healing but also mostly finding solace in him. You figured that if you hadn’t told Will, he would have actively hunt you down into the underworld, hence why you entrusted him with your whereabouts for the coming few days. At least, that was the plan because Percy Jackson would turn sixteen in a matter of days and Nico asked you to be the last drop in convincing Percy that he needed to agree with Nico’s plan.
You had only just arrived in the clearing, gaining a small wave from Nico who was seemingly in the middle of a conversation between a nymph and satyr. He was wearing an aviator's jacket, black jeans, and a T-shirt with dancing skeletons on it, like one of those Day of the Dead pictures. His Stygian iron sword hung at his side. You barely made it to his side when a hellhound pounded through the bushes. You stumbled back, instinctively stepping behind Nico as you felt your throat close at the memories of hellhounds hunting you- the memories of your parent getting out a gun-
Nico smiled as the dog laid its head on the ground, ready to receive ear scratches from the son of Hades. You felt like you couldn’t breathe – it was not the first time you had seen Mrs O’Leary around camp, but every time Will had been at your side to calm you down. Gods if only he was here- if only-
“You alright?” Will had noticed your panicked gaze as you passed the arena. He pulled you away and looked behind him, seeing Mrs O’Leary sitting there, “Hey, (Y/n), look at me. Don’t worry, she’s friendly.” Your eyes were out of focus, seeing a different time, seeing your parents face. Will saw that you were not getting out of your stupor and pulled you away from the arena. He made sure Mrs O’Leary was out of sight as he sat you down on the ground.
“Hey, just breathe- Follow my breathing,” he started guiding you and as you slowly came back to your senses you saw the worried eyes of your friend.
“Care to explain, sunshine?” Will squeezed your arm as you sighed and started your story.
“She’s friendly, (Y/n).” Nico said as he glanced at you. You closed your eyes as you breathed in deep, counting to yourself. This was an exercise you learned quickly after encountering Mrs O’Leary a few times at camp. As you felt your heart calm down, you looked at Nico with a tired smile. He cocked his head to the side as to ask if you were fine, and Mrs. O’Leary copied his movement. “I know, sorry.” You softly said and Nico shrugged, going back to scratching her ears.
Looking at your companions in the clearing you saw the shape of the old satyr. His fur was dust-bunny gray, and a spiderweb grew between his horns. The tree nymph was pretty, wearing a purple gossamer dress and having an elfish face – although something in her eyes seemed off. You noticed a boy – Percy Jackson – entering the clearing, just in time for the old satyr that was there to explode.
"Will someone—what is this underworld creature doing in my forest!" He waved his arms and trotted on his hooves as if the grass were hot. "You there, Percy Jackson! Is this your beast?" "Sorry, Leneus," Percy apologized, "That's your name, right?" The satyr rolled his eyes.
"Well, of course I'm Leneus. Don't tell me you've forgotten a member of the Council so quickly. Now, call off your beast!" Lenues retorted, aggressively pointing at Mrs O’Leary. "WOOF!" Mrs. O'Leary said happily. The old satyr gulped. "Make it go away! Juniper, I will not help you under these circumstances!" Juniper turned toward Percy, a hopeful look in her eyes. You felt a bit awkward and left out in the situation, you looked at Nico as he stood up and took in the situation.
"Percy," Juniper sniffled. "I was just asking about Grover. I know something has happened. He wouldn't stay gone this long if he wasn't in trouble. I was hoping that Leneus —" "I told you!" the satyr protested, "You are better off without that traitor."
Juniper stamped her foot. "He is not a traitor! He is the bravest satyr ever, and I want to know where he is!"
"WOOF!" Leneus's knees started knocking. You snorted softly. Sure you are scared of Mrs O’Leary, but seeing this old satyr basically pee his pants because of her did feel good.
"I . . . I will not answer questions with this hellhound sniffing my tail!" Nico looked like he was trying to not crack up. He looked at me and then back at the group.
"I'll walk the dog," he volunteered as he motioned for me to follow him. He whistled, and Mrs. O'Leary bounded after him to the far end of the grove.
You didn’t walk far before Nico stopped and turned to you, letting Mrs. O’Leary bounce around us. “Are you scared of her?” he gestured to the hellhound, and you shuddered. “Well, you know, you were there,” the last bit was more of a whisper, but Nico nodded his head as he beckoned Mrs. O’Leary over. “Here, just,” there was often this hesitation to Nico when he wanted to help you, you noticed, “Just scratch behind her ears,” he carefully grabbed your hand, and you noticed him shivering at the contact. How long had it been since he had been held with love?
You let him guide you towards Mrs. O’Leary, accepting your fate. For some reason you started shaking, and you wanted it to stop, you didn’t want Nico to think that you were weak – too weak to help him. You closed your eyes, and as you felt fur beneath your fingers you released a breath. You heart was racing, and your felt your legs give out.
“Woah!” Nico half heartedly tried to catch you, but as you sat before Mrs. O’Leary, eyes half opened as she appreciatively wagged her gigantic tail. Nico felt his heart beat an extra time as he saw how you deflated in front of Mrs. O’Leary. Why did Nico not like it that you were so scared? Why had he felt the need to make sure that you would be alright?
“You alright?” Nico crouched down next to you, his stygian sword’s handle poking uncomfortably in his side as he put an arm on your shoulder. You slowly nodded, continuing to scratch Mrs. O’Leary’s head.
“Just peachy.” You removed your hand from her head, and she whined a little as you let out a breath of air, “You are just like a normal dog, ey? Sorry for being so scared, some of your family weren’t so nice to me,” you felt as if you would not be able to say another word, so you put your hand back on Mrs. O’Leary’s head and started petting her again.
“That was brave of you,” Nico noted as he stood up again, denying himself the warmth of your touch.
“Thank you,” you told him as you looked up at him, “And Nico, you’re a good friend.” Nico’s face filled itself with confusion. “Where did that come from?” he spluttered out.
“Mm, the fact that you just helped me, and the fact that we are friends.” You smiled at him, hoping it looked genuine after everything you just went through, “Whether you like it or not.” Something crossed Nico’s eyes, but you could not pinpoint what it was.
“Well, before attaching yourself to me, are you sure you want to help? It is dangerous, and I do not want you to do this for the sake of ‘friendship’,” he did the quotation marks around the last word. You found the strength to stand up, ignoring Mrs. O’Leary’s whines at the loss of pets. You knew Nico wouldn’t have asked you to go if he didn’t need any support
“Yes, although I would only endanger my life for friends though, so,” you held out your hand towards the son of Hades, feeling butterflies in your stomach. This was stupid – you would go on this mission for Nico either way, but you wanted him to acknowledge you¸ to acknowledge that he had friends in camp. Nico sighed but grabbed your hand.
“Alright,” he shook your hand harshly, “friends it is.” This time you smiled genuinely. Your moment was quickly disturbed Leneus quickly stomping past the two of you. “Guess it’s showtime, let’s go.” Nico commanded and you followed suit.

A Play Of The Year
Happy Easter! and APRIL FOOLS! at least basically. This idea has been churning like rotten butter between me and Danny since Christmas last year. Don't worry and enjoy :) It's one of the more mm serious April fools fics we made thusfar.
Pairing: Platonic a bunch x gn reader or something Request: Can I count Danny letting me write this as one? Word count: 2.3 k I am so sorry Warnings: Proceed with caution if you have religious (christian) guilt I suppose, and not that this fic isn't meant as harmful towards those of christian believe, it's satire. The rest? you'll find out (nothing serious, the banner gives most of it away)

Normally, besides an egg hunt or themed activity, you didn’t celebrate Easter. Camp Half-Blood simply didn’t care too much- so when Camp Jupiter invited most of the campers to their easter activities you were pumped. You weren’t entirely sure what was going to happen. But excitedly you signed up with a few of your friends, and went on a little road trip to get to Camp Jupiter.
What you weren’t expecting was a play. Last time you checked, there wasn’t an open air stage at this camp, but when you sat down there it was. It wasn’t just a center stage- there were screens to either side, streaming what was happening on stage live. You spotted so many speakers. Nico sat next to you, with Will next to him, Percy and Annabeth were on your other side. You knew one secret, and that is that Leo was Mary. Apparently they had cast Reyna for the role, but as she was with the hunters she (surely with a heavy heart) asked Leo at the Waystation to fill in for her. Leo being the good friend he is, obviously agreed. You figured it would be pretty funny to seem him act.
And as you watched the people slowly get into their seats, you realized the entirety of Camp Jupter and New Rome was going to see this play. It got you excited really, how good must this play be to amass this many people, but as you were about to voice your excitement Percy sighed from next to you.
“I can’t believe I was forced to come to this because I was a part of the Legion once.” he said and Annabeth petted his arm. “It can’t be that bad, Perce,” she tried to console him, “See how many people are coming!”
“But weren’t they all part of the Legions once?” Will asked, and Nico nodded.
“Apparently Hazel and Frank had to put in a law for participation,” he explained, “because nobody ever showed up to watch the Easter play.”
“What?” you balked, “Is it that bad? Why didn’t you warn me?” Nico smiled at you, clearly amused by your state.
“Well, I figured I could force Will to come, but not you if you knew, besides you looked excited.”
“I wouldn’t have if you had been honest with me.” you glared at him, “Why did you even come if it’s bad?”
“Legal sibling obligation, Hazel’s in the play.” he explained, “Will’s my forced plus one.” Will rolled his eyes, but laughed.
“Same as me,” Annabeth joined in, “Morale support for Percy. You’re the only one here of your own free will I’m afraid.”
“Not for long, I’m leaving-” but before you got up, Nico grabbed your arm and pointed at the stage.
The play was starting.
The stage was empty as the lights flashed on. Hazel made her dramatic entrance onto the stage, to a mildly warm applause from the audience. It kept going until she raised both her hands, immediately silencing the audience. She started her speech.
“A long time ago in a town called Nazareth there lived a young woman called Mary and a young carpenter called Joseph.” As Hazel moved to the side, two people who you assumed to be Mary and Joseph entered onto the stage. With their entrance, the background of the stage went from neutral to a more sunset like atmosphere, allowing you a good look at the new characters.
Leo Valdez, who you knew was Mary, wore a beige dress, and a blue cloak over his head and shoulders. Somehow he was certainly looking as if he was going through tough times. Funnily enough, his performance was complimented by Bobby, Jason’s friend who took care of the elephants. They slowly walked across the stage, where Leo- sat on a stool, as Bobby kept walking and exited from the stage. Hazel continued her narration.
“They loved each other very much and they also loved God very much. Mary of Nazareth was very special because God had chosen her to be the Mother of His Only Son. God sent the angel Gabriel to ask Mary if she would be the Mother of God.”
Blaise, son of Vulcan, was lowered onto the stage, gigantic wings on his back and for some reason a crown that was literally on fire. He stops inches from the floor, as he spreads his arms and addresses Leo.
“Mary, you are the chosen one. Soon you will have a baby boy. He will be very special. He will be the Son of God and you must call him Jesus.” Leo tried to look surprised, and quickly walked off stage while Blaise was being raised again, until both of them were off the stage.
“Soon after the angel’s visit, Herod, the ruler of the land, gave an order” Hazel said
Claudia flew in using winged shows, dressed as the average Mercury interpretation and yelled; “By order of the emperor, everyone must return to the place they were born to pay a special tax!” you could hear her yell it once more off stage as she kept flying, before you heard a loud crashing noise.
Bobby entered the stage, and he looked awfully worried. Was it acting, or did Claudia break a bone? But Hazel continued no matter what was happening.
“Joseph was worried. He was born in a place called Bethlehem. It was a long way away and Mary’s baby was due any time. Joseph and Mary knew they had to go and they prepared for the journey.”
Leo came onto the stage, now wearing a fake pregnant belly. You did not want to consider pregnant Leo Valdez, yet here you were. Behind him Festus went onto the stage, Bobby and Leo got on and Festust started flying over the audience, eliciting some gasps from the audience.
After a moment, Hazel started her dialogue. “Mary rode to Bethlehem on a donkey, with Joseph walking by her side. Remember, Mary was about to have a baby, so it was a very long dangerous journey. Mary and Joseph were very grateful to their faithful donkey who carried Mary so bravely and so carefully.”
Festus landed on the stage again, and Leo and Bobby got off.
“Thank you little donkey” Leo said as he petted Festus. “YOU’RE WELCOME CUPCAKE!” Coach Hedge’s voice blared from the speakers. Unbothered, Hazel continued the story.
“It took many days to reach Bethlehem. When they arrived, Mary was very tired. They needed to find somewhere to stay, but the town was crowded with lots of other travelers and every inn they went to was full.”
Dakota, Lavinia and Marilyn entered, each holding a door in front of them. You saw Bobby open his mouth, but Leo was quicker in saying the line.
“Let’s go and see if they have room for us,” he said, and Bobby had the quickest glare, before knocking on the first door. Dakota opened the door, and Leo asked whether there was a room. Dakota shook his head, closed the door, picked it up and walked off the stage. The scene is the exact same for the other two inn-keepers, before Hazel speaks again, and as she speaks, Dakota enters the stage again, still holding his door.
“Eventually, seeing how tired they both looked, one kind innkeeper took pity on them.” Dakota opened his door, and stepped out of it.
“I have no room at the inn,” Dakota hiccuped, “but you can stay in the stable where I keep my animals. It is dry and warm.”
Leo and Bobby thanked him, and as they walked to the right of the stage, from the left an entire stable on wheels was brought in. But not just that, because this stable was complete with an elephant, and buford the table who was mooing. Did they not find any pegasi willing to take the stage or something? Either way, Leo, Bobby and Dakota left the stage, only for Leo and Bobby to re-enter from the other side, still leading Festus who patiently took his place next to the war elephant.
How the fuck did they manage to get Festus to cross backstage that quickly?
“During the night Mary gave birth to Jesus.” Hazel paused to point at the birth. Leo start screaming, as the golden boy, Jason Grace, somehow came out from under Leo’s stool. He was naked, except for a pair of skin colored boxers. Bobby quickly draped a cloth over him, roman style.  “He was wrapped in strips of cloth and laid in a manger full of hay.” Hazel finished her sentence as Jason laid himself in the manger, his face the only visible bit to the audience.
This apparently was a cue for the animals on stage to start speaking, as a different coach Hedge voice came from Buford’s speaker.
“Test, test. Is this okay, kid? Yeah. okay. Cow: Let’s moooove a little bit closer to Child.” coach’s voice sounded calm.
“I, the sheep,” It sounded from behind the elephant, “say that we might wake up the baaaaby Jesus if we do that.”
“No,” This time it was clearly Leo with a voice changer sounding from Festus, “hee haw, hee haw he’s already awake.”
From the other side of the stage the inn-keepers re-entered, wearing beards and hats. You were quickly corrected by Hermes.
“Nearby on a hillside overlooking the town some shepherds were watching over their sheep. As they did so a very bright light came into the sky.” Blaise slowly descended once again, this time holding a lamp “The light was an angel sent by God.”
“Do not to be afraid,” Blaise spoke, “I have good news. The Son of God has been born. You will find him in a stable in Bethlehem.” He was being pulled back up again, only for the rope to hitch and him to drop the lamp all the way down. The shepherds yelled curses, but quickly went “we’re fine! We’re fine!!” before scrambling to pick up the biggest pieces of the lamp. Hazel was gaping at the scene, but she quickly recovered.
“The shepherds were excited and went to Bethlehem to find Jesus.” Dakota, Lavinia and Marilyn walked off stage carrying the pieces of the lamp. They came back out on the other side of the stage as Hazel resumed her speech, “When they found Jesus they were filled with joy. They told Mary and Joseph about the angel in the sky.”
“This must be the Son of God.” Dakota said.
“The angel told us he will be the savior of the world.” Marilyn spoke up.
“Can I kiss His feet?” Lavinia asked.
“Ew, no.” Leo said, “What are you, a pedo?” clearly this was unscripted, as Lavinia burst out laughing.
“Thank You God for giving us Your Son.” Dakota tried to save the bit.
Then on the other side of the stage, Frank, Janice, Micheal and … the Grinch? entered. Pointing at the sun, which was now in the middle of the sky. Hazel narrated the scene once again.
“A long way away in the East, three wise kings who studied the stars and the horrid Grinch, saw a new very bright star shining in the sky. They knew that this meant a great ruler had been born. The three wise men decided to go and find the baby. The wise men followed the star to the stable in Bethlehem. They found Jesus lying in a manger. They gave him gifts,”
Whoever played the Grinch first approached baby Jason Jesus, and showed the audience and Jason their gift. “I give you the gift of Easter! And eggs! And chocolate! All shall search and feast to this little man! All must do!” and as the Grinch laughed maniacally, cannons from the stage started firing chocolate Easter eggs at the audience.
Instead of excitement, the first few rows mainly screamed in pain and tried to duck away from the fire. Contrary to popular belief, chocolate is very hard and not nice to get hit by. But as the cannons stopped, and the audience was silent once again, the show had to go on.
Frank walked up to Jasus, and kneeled down, as he gave him his gift. “I give you my pledge to your legion, which I shall follow till the end.” Janice stood tall next to him, brandishing a spear, “I will give you forces and loyalty, to build the greatest empire that mankind will ever know.” Next up was Micheal, who spread his arms wide as he more addressed the audience than Jason. “And I! Shall give you this cross, the means to and end and the end to a means! It shall guide you with the will of the Roman Empire!” From the ceiling of the theater a cross lowered.
“Isn’t it supposed to be like gold, incense and myrrh?” Will whispered to Nico and as you looked at Nico, his face was once of disbelief.
“The fuck are they doing?” he whispered under his breath “Don’t they know the Romans killed Jesus?” Yet the play continued.
Jason got up from the manger, spread his arms, and probably by harness and wires, got lifted to align with the cross Micheal had lowered. The Grinch stood up, and as Micheal fastened Jason to the cross (by straps, and two clearly fake spikes) the Grinch brandished a knife. Jason looked up one last time, as he pitfully said his one and only line.
“Et tu, Grinch?” and the Grinch stabbed him.
Cheers erupted. The horrors had finally passed.

Mm I don't know where you saw it, but it could maybe refer to the current requests that are closed :) we're still working on requests send in previously! But they're all romantic (if I remember correctly)

I saw something that said you don’t do romantic x readers anymore? Is that true?
No???
You probably misread one of the rules that talks about particular ships we no longer do but Ash lit has an ongoing Solangelo fic that's romantic!
