For this Pride month a head-canon no one asked for:
Abby Sciuto as aromantic.
Bear with me.
Yes, she had relationships, she even appeared to really want to date some people. But...
We know that Abby had quite a few guys she "dated" or had something with, but she also had the rule about ending relationship after 2 months. She mentioned that she disliked that relationships had to "get a label" or "move somewhere" and seemed to prefer the more casual stuff.
She still cared about them tho, and few times tried really hard to make it work (the lil guy and how she was sad when he rejected her). If she's aro, falling for someone can be really rare and even special, so it would make sense she would try extra hard to make it work somehow.
And also the relationship she had with McGee after they broke up had a big qpr vibes for me. They still flirted a bit, teased each other, obviously cared about each other and wanted to spend time together, and it seemed their relationship wasn't "just" a friendship (as much as I hate that frase, idk how else to say it). And yet it wasn't romance.
Sure, they were sometimes jealous of each other's LI's, but I am sometimes jealous of my friend's friends too XD And navigating something like QPR in such a heteronormative environment is very difficult.
So, I am not saying Abby is definitely aro, but she has the vibe and it would fit her character and story arc.
Bonus: Pauley Perrette has since come out as asexual herself, and she stated in one interview that she isn't really into relationships and I think it may have reflected on how she played Abby.

Welcome.
I created this blog to share my thoughts, theories and unpopular opinions about the series NCIS.
I liked it as kid when I saw random episodes in tv, and I started binging it all in order in january. Now I am almost at the end, so understandably, I have A LOT of thoughts.
I'll see how much I'll be active here, but I want to talk most about queerness, disability and character arcs in the series. Oh, and about the huge difference in how male and female stories are handled.
I am currently working on a bigger analysis of the last point, so I'll share about my progress.
So, thanks for your attention, and I hope you'll enjoy my brain dumps.
