So what I assume just happened, based on the very fuzzy memory that I have access to from a few seconds before I was fully switched in and based on the information I have from what we were apparently doing:
- We were scrolling through the pro endo tag - We saw something triggering, and scrolled past (blocked the creator? I am unsure. I don't want to scroll back up to check, just in case) - Cue flashback & programming running, with the "default" being unable to handle it - Cue me (as the King of Dreadwood, the top of the hierarchy and so most "necessary" according to programming) switching in as part of the programming, more able to handle the emotions of both, but still suffering other consequences (intrusive thoughts, compulsions, hallucinations, etc)
We also apparently have not used this blog in a month, other than yesterday. And things have changed very much since last time Dreadwood was brought into control.

okay it's actually very cute how Jazz (new guy from previous post) will always (in headspace) make me get up and dance with zir whenever a particular song comes on from zir playlist while ze sings along. like that's very sweet. normally we just sit in the cabin while ze hums along to the music but whenever That Song comes on ze just has to stand up and make me dance with zir.
like ze was just supposed to be a companion i could easily talk to but ze's very bold and very good at doing what ze wants without second guessing zirself so like. now we dance together in the headspace cabin while ze sings zir music to me i guess

i (default, Oakley) have been working on creating a headmate via willomancy the past couple of days and like. i knew it would probably go fast because we're already polyfrag and have a very very very low new formation tolerance, but it's gone Faster Than Expected.
we've been back and forth on whether or not we wanted to try and create a headmate to hopefully help deal with a specific delusion, but we felt like the ethics were. Questionable since that delusion in particular is often triggered by stress and we are living in Severely Stressful Times, and we didn't want to put that all onto someone brand new. but this guy is mostly just a companion for me specifically (or is intended so) so we're less iffy on the ethics.
we're still trying to figure out this guy's pronouns (hence the lack of use of pronouns in reference to the new guy throughout the post lol) but it's been nice to have like. Good Communication with someone regularly (and not dependent on a specific headmate fronting, eg. when Ernest was able to talk to all 30+ of us in Sunswept while we were actively freaking out and was able to single us out individually to address specific concerns). especially since it looks like with the new guy's music tastes we're going to find some new music which we haven't done in Ages lol

Big handshake emoji on all the feelings related to your discovery as a dolphin and the whole "but HOW and WHY did this happen to me?" ... we don't talk about it often, but we somehow ended up in a human-looking body and we are annoyed about it. Sometimes a little more than annoyed. We were created as a loong and were supposed to be a loong. WHY did this happen to us.
We still carry a lot of distrust and disdain for humans, but we're trying to see the positives in them. Along with trying to piece together exactly what happened to get us here in the first place. I feel like we got isekai'd in the worst way possible.
Yes, we very much understand a lot of that. We have a theory for ourselves on the "how", it's just a matter of timeframe on "when" personally, which you may have seen a bit of; ultimately, we're very glad we have found a small community of others who understand and who--unfortunately--have been through similar things as us. If it weren't for one of them in particular, we may never have remembered we were a dolphin. Or, at least, it may have taken several more years.
We also tend to be mistrusting of humans. Not every human has hurt us, sure, but many have, and most would be unwilling to believe the ways we've been harmed; few would be willing to believe us when we tell them what we are. We know that humans as a species are not inherently bad, but (at least western) human societies are baked with the assumption of human superiority. With the idea that all should want to be human, and any who would prefer to be something else are ill. With the idea that humans are above and better than animals, as though humans are not themselves animals.
Finding small things has helped. Hazelnut creamer to go in our mocha. Fidget toys. Stuffed animals. Rollerskating rinks. Music. Books. Social media, which is how we've been able to find those aforementioned others like us, is human made. It's easier to remember that humans aren't wholly evil, keeping these kinds of things in mind.
We wish you well on your journey forward, esteemed companion. We'll all find our way to freedom, somehow, some way.

You see. Regular systems exist and are plural. Created systems don’t exist and aren’t plural.
Really not similar.
I am going to "entertain" this once and only once, if just to say: I sincerely doubt you actually support spiritual experiences and beliefs in plurality if you don't support created plurality. You are also doing the exact same thing anti-endos do: saying you know better about other people's experiences than they do, and assuming they're wrong about their own lives, and writing them all off as automatically evil and harmful without taking the time to listen to them about their own experiences.
You don't believe people can create plurality? That they can't choose to form their own headmates? Alright. I doubt that you sincerely believe in primarily spiritual and metaphysical phenomena in plurality, then; I doubt you believe in metaphysically based soulbonds who come from other universes, I doubt you believe those (including us) who say their innerworlds/headspaces/otherworlds are real places (sometimes with their own peoples that are not part of the plurality), I doubt you believe systemhopping can happen as part of spiritual and metaphysical plurality.
You are not welcome here. You will not be welcome here until you get your head out of your ass. Any further asks you send will be deleted unless they are sincere apologies with recognition that your current beliefs are terrible, exclusionist, and are made up of bullshit founded on nothing but your own main character syndrome, your refusal to acknowledge experiences that don't perfectly conform to yours. If you try to contact us through other methods to "convince" us, we will be an unapologetic asshole to you, because you are little more than a bully looking for an easy target, and we were not raised to be nice to bullies, nor were we raised to be an easy target.
Have the day you deserve.

hey @ the anon who sent an ask about this: go fuck yourself and stay the fuck off our blog. created plurals are awesome and we have far more in common than we do in difference.
created systems 🤝 spiritual systems
having our experiences and beliefs constantly questioned and dismissed by other (non-created/spiritual) plurals

PLURALPUNK V.2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hey there! We're the original coiners of pluralpunk. We first coined this in 2020, and never expected it to get the attention it did. That being said, here's a new post for you all & a flag re-design.
As usual, the full information will always be available on the official carrd, linked in our description. Please link there when explaining what pluralpunk is or uploading it to wikis, since it's the most permanent place to find that information!
(If anyone can add image descriptions, it would be greatly appreciated.)
Tumblr media
What is pluralpunk?
Pluralpunk (or plurpunk) is a movement that focuses on embracing one’s plurality and all of its intricacies in a radically accepting way as well as challenging the accepted “norms” of plurality within their own system and identity.
Pluralpunk is:
The rejection of the notion that plurality is inherently unhealthy/a disorder or that a system needs to be “cured” in order to lead a fulfilling life.
Acknowledgement that there is nothing inherently “wrong” with plurality and it is just another way to exist.
Acknowledgement that some may not choose to label their origins or system type while respecting the ones that do.
Freedom to do whatever they please with their system identity, including but not limited to: the name of the system, the names of headmates, subsystems, etc., pronouns, identity labels, and headmate origins.
Radical acceptance and inclusivity of any and all plural experiences - as long as those experiences are not directly harmful.
Inherently accepting, inclusive, and welcoming of endogenic, created, xeno-originated, spiritual, metaphysical, and other system types.
Inherently accepting of disordered and medical systems, including programmed/hc-DID systems, p-DID systems, systems with an ambiguous, pending, or unofficial diagnostic status, and systems with CDDs that are less visible in the community such as OSDD-1a and UDD (if they wish to consider themselves plural).
Italics are all new additions. These are not the only things pluralpunk can be - we invite you to make your own meaning, keeping in mind that is inherently inclusive and striving for a better future for all plurals.
Who is pluralpunk for?
Anyone can use this label, we just ask that you don’t use it to attack others and are respectful of others’ choices regarding their system!
This label was not intended for anti-endogenics, gatekeepers of any kind, radqueers, or other harmful individuals or groups. Your beliefs are antithetical to any punk subculture. While we cannot stop you, know that we do not approve or support anyone using pluralpunk to be exclusionary or harmful.

i wonder how many people are around that we haven't found. whenever Leland (new guy, slightly obnoxious, but takes over the body and is otherwise very nice) spoke prior to him fronting the first time, he was always speaking to someone, and it didn't always feel like he was speaking to the fronter. sometimes we'd hear a response to him that wasn't the fronter, and wasn't anyone we knew. in our mind, it supported the theory that he (and whoever else was with him) was just a subconscious daydream that ran in the background--we're never fully "in" the world.
so. who was he talking to? how many of them are there? is there just... another "plate" of headmates, hidden right beneath me? beneath me and above the rest of Sunswept, i think, since while Sunswept are clear, it's also a bit "farther away" than Leland is. for some reason. they can all talk just as easily as me, and i'm part of them, but they don't take over like Leland does.
idk. we haven't been this actively confused over the functioning of our own collective, kind of... ever, really. we've always felt like we had at least a bit of a handle over how we worked, who we were, what we did. for some reason, Leland's participation in the goings-on has thrown a bit of a wrench in that.

here's some positivity for OEA systems!
to OEA systems who don't remember their trauma fully, you're still valid and deserve to be heard.
to OEA systems who remember everything, it doesn't make you fake or a liar. you still belong here.
to OEA systems who struggle with being fakeclaimed and harassed, you're always welcome on my blog and i believe you.
to OEA systems who have what some people would consider "weird" triggers, you're not strange for having them. all triggers are valid and very difficult to deal with.
to OEA systems who don't fit the "stereotypical" presentation of OEA, you still belong in the community and have every right to be here.
to OEA systems who don't talk about what happened due to it being "too much" for most spaces, i see you and i believe you. you deserve spaces where you are just as allowed to talk as everyone else.
to OEA systems who don't label their trauma that way openly or at all, you're still an important person in our community and just as valid.
to all OEA systems, i'm so proud of you for continuing to be here despite the horrific things you've gone through. i believe you about your trauma. thank you for being here with me!
you are valid, important, and amazing. much love from a fellow OEA survivor. i promise there are people out there who will support you, believe you, and appreciate you. the negative people are loud, but i'm willing to be louder.

we're like this as well, even with a much higher headcount (also [partially] traumagenic & polyfragmented); we had one major collapse in April of 2021 (iirc), going from around 60 - 70 headmates to 15, and it was so damn lonely.
we're currently at a little over 900, but only including the primary layer, we're at just under 650. if we're only including the sidesystem in control? drops all the way to 35-ish.
we function best as a community, not as individuals, probably in part because of being mediple and the primary layer being based in our spiritual plurality as opposed to our traumagenic plurality. we view every new member, regardless of where they came from (DID/brain-derived or metaphysically derived), as valuable, because they're a new perspective on the world we may not have otherwise had.
we may no longer be constantly co-conscious with each other as we were in the past (although we still usually are, since we're generally arranged in fronting pairs or trios (or occasionally quartets) and usually we/they don't separate from each other), but Sunswept (current sidesystem in control) took over the old fronting room we had, and we usually have around a third to half of us there just to be around each other, even if they're not interacting with the front. 10 - 18 people all crowding into the same three rooms is a little bit crowded sometimes--but it also means the fronter isn't (wholly) alone, even if it's the only one managing front in any way, because there's others all around it. we haven't had anything like that since... 2022-ish? i want to say? so it's been nice to have again.
n-e-ways, you're definitely not the only ones who prefer a larger headcount or a crowded front, even if it seems to be a bit more uncommon of an experience afaik.
idk if this is a super unique experience or not but do any other plurals aim to up their headcount regularly?
like for us new headmates are almost always a pos experience. front being crowded (5+ people in front) makes our life so much easier.
our collective headcount dropped under 100 for the first time in years a few months ago and that was SO stressful?? we are at ~150 now but genuinely feel like we would function the best with. like. 1000+ known headmates (we def already have that many fragments,,,, but that’s just our system structure lol. polyfragmented moment)
( we are traumagenic for context, but anyone who sees this pls feel free to share ur experiences !! )

Tumblr media
thing to describe some of our feelings lately.
text in the box:
we can't be accurately described as "both" multiple and median. we're in-between. we're not quite multiple, but median isn't fully accurate, either. it's frustrating to be the in-between of in-betweens. we know we could be considered part of the median spectrum, but we don't relate to other median systems, nor do we relate to multiple systems. we're too distinct and too similar at once for either.
(and the definition on pluralpedia for mediple, for reference:
A mediple, or mediple system (system can be replaced with cluster, or any sisasystem or sisasystem cluster term) is a system, sisasystem, or cluster that is decidedly both median and multiple. They may share closeness of mind, shared identity as each other, similar personalities, a single train of thought, or other characteristics, but distinctly identify as full-fledged and (semi-)separate people, and multiple in nature, despite not being partitionary by general means.
italics added by us for emphasis)

kinda surprised that demi-proxy system [a system that only partially fits the definition of proxy system, or (eg., in the case of sidesystems, layers, etc) has sections that function as a proxy system, but the system as a whole doesn't] isn't already a label in use, at least so far as we've seen. we feel like it would be a very common experience--we function as a proxy collective in person, but not online; when engaging with things online, we're fully autonomous and speak for ourselves and do not in the slightest act as a singlet. we can front without our default, and our default isn't stuck in front so long as we aren't engaging with outer world things.
