Hey OP. I don't normally write fanfic, I don't even have an ao3 account, but when I saw this phenomenal piece of art I got possessed and wrote this.

Everything was still. 

No.

That wasn’t true.

All around, the battle continued. Guns cracked and explosions shook the ground. Battle shouts and battle screams echoed around the field. The sonic boom of battle jets roared across the sky.

But none of that registered to Soundwave. None of it mattered.

Not after he heard a high-pitched shriek cut off and saw Rumble jerk with a bullet’s impact, collapsing into the dirt. 

Soundwave watched, as if in slow motion, as his son’s small body tumbled with momentum, almost as if he was rolling down a grassy hill, before coming to a halt. Soundwave almost expected Rumble to jump back up, to grin and laugh and boast that they can’t keep a good ‘con down, but he remained horribly, terrifyingly still. 

Soundwave’s chest hurt. 

He blinked, and he was moving. He blinked again, and he was once again still, looking down at Rumble’s prone form. He blinked a third time, and he was kneeling, grasping his son in his arms and staring at his face. 

Rumble’s eyes were closed. He looked almost as if he were sleeping, except that his chest wasn’t moving, and he was still still still. Rumble was never still. He twitched, squirmed, and jostled about. Even in sleep he would kick his legs, often hitting Frenzy who would punch back. Rumble was never like this, never statue-like and turning colder by the moment.

Soundwave’s chest hurt. 

Soundwave gasped quietly and buried his face in Rumble’s chest, hugging him close and tight. He grasped Rumble like he was about to disappear, and in a way, he had. Rumble was gone. His son was gone. 

And he was never coming back.

A moment or a minute or a million years later, a voice crackled in Soundwave’s ear.

“--treat, retreat! Megatron has ordered us to retreat!” 

Soundwave slowly stood up, still clutching his precious cargo. 

If Rumble had been awake - alive, Soundwave corrected - he would have protested loudly, trying to roll out of Soundwave’s arms. But he was still. And would remain still.

“Retreat!” 

The voice was grating in Soundwave’s ear. The hurt in his chest started to burn hot with fury.

He would retreat. He had a son to bury, and other children to comfort. 

But he would be back. And the Autobots would pay.

i wanted to draw humanformers and i had this horrible awful miserable idea

i don't like bringing serious stuff to my blog, but as a Catholic I need to after today's news. Pope Francis passed away this morning, a few weeks after an intense hospital stay. He has been the Pope for most of my living memory, since Pope Benedict stepped down when I was in elementary school. And I'll be honest, it's going to be hard to have a Pope that will fill in his shoes. Pope Francis is not a perfect man, nobody is and should ever claim to be, but he has been a damn-fantastic head to the Catholic Church. He's been an advocate for immigrants and refugees, especially in recent times with US politics being what they are. He is also an advocate for the LGBTQ community, something I appreciated even before I ever suspected I might be in that community. And I know that we are all scared that with his death the Catholic Church will run backwards against his policies, but I genuinely believe that his values will live on. At the very least, I will try to keep his values alive with how I practice my religion.

There's a reason why Colin Firth is forever known as Mr. Darcy above all other roles he's had and will have! Even ignoring the wet white shirt, which has become A Thing now, he is so hot with his curly hair and his little half smiles and his intense looks of longing and his legs that go on for milessss.

Post Poll Addition* The reason Mr Darcy (2005) didn't have any propaganda and Mr Darcy (1995) did is because someone actually sent me 95 propaganda and not because I was trying to make Colin Firth win! I asked for propaganda pre-poll and people assumed the Darcy's would sail through so that text was all I got for either of them - it's not my fault the '05 girlies did not find the tournament in time to send any in!!!!! This was the same in a few other polls in the early rounds of the tournament. Sorry for sounding off a bit about it but I don't add any of my own propaganda so I stay impartial so it's just frustrating to be accused of the opposite. Anyway I hope that clears that up :))

I remember seeing theories on the incredibles 2, movies about a 15 year timeskip, new problems for the family. Dash and Violet are adults now, Jack Jack is a teenager. I personally dreamed about a Flashpoint-like thing where the siblings go back in time to save the earth via Dash's speed combined with Violet and Jack Jack's powers. They had a world of possibilities, and they disappointed. Violet was still having teen problems that I, as a teen girl at the time, thought excruciating to watch, but not bc they were my problems. WHY was there this whole thing with her crush having amnesia and her being embarrassed to talk to him when that song and dance (not the amnesia) was sung and danced last movie? Middle child Dash's whole arc was him not. knowing. math. The kid was already having school issues in movie 1, why do it again? He already didn't have much character development in movie 1, they could've have given him something that I can actually remember in this one. Jack Jack's power thing was fun, but imo went on for a bit too long. I've seen . The Incredibles world needs to progress the characters, not have them stuck as they were. Don't get me wrong, I did like the movie, I just didn't love it like I did the first one.

Street gamines can’t possibly weigh that much. Man let’s just add the whole of Les Amis (including Gavroche). It’s Hugh Jackman. He can take it.

i want to specify that I don't hate the ship here. In fact, I'll like cool fanart if I see it. I just find certain aspects of it more compelling, such as them divorced than actively being in a relationship

What do you call it when you don't ship 2 characters, will never actively seek out content for it normally, but when you find content about them being in a DIVORCE you eat that up?? That DRAMA is what's compelling. I hope they never get back together, but I will watch with popcorn while their rivalry gets just a little too personal to be simple arch enemies

When I was a teenager and still on Neopets I was part of a pretty big Star Trek guild and eventually became part of its council, with the solemn duty of creating weekly polls. Well one day I created the poll "Which would win in a fight? Borg Cube or Death Star?". Naturally, since this was a Star Trek guild, the answer was overwhelmingly "Borg Cube", but someone did have the rationality to point out we were biased.

So I look up a pretty prominent Star Wars guild and message one of their council and ask them to poll the same question and get back to me in a week. They do, and naturally the fuckin geeks said "Death Star".

So then I look up a Stargate guild and messaged the lead council member, saying the same thing, and they get back to me almost immediately saying that the Death Star would immediately one-shot a Borg Cube but they would never be able to do it again to another Cube. And I took that wisdom back to my guild and we were mollified, and for one moment the Nerd World was peaceful.
