Cardinal Moon Herb Series ✨

It’s Monday again! That means it’s time for my favorite Cardinal Moon Co series! This week we’re going to talk about the Rose, which is without a doubt one of my favorite plants to work with all time. I connect very well to the spirit of the Rose & find that it serves me quite well in my practice. I have a small Rose plant in my window that I named Lucille, after my great grandmother. When Lucille is in bloom, I feel a personal sense of accomplishment and joy for her. 🥀

In magic, Rose helps with: love, lust, trust, divination, healing, truth, romance, sexuality, opening the heart, protection, happiness, & dreams. .
Cosmetically, its fruit are often used to create natural pigments.

In my personal practice, I use Rose in many herbal smoking & incense blends! I find the floral notes make a nice sultry addition to any blend. ✨ I also use Rose in spellwork where opening the heart is needed, and in relationship work (this includes beyond romantic relationships). You may notice Rose in some of my intention candles as well! 💋

One thing I feel is important, is the Christian erasure and adoption of Pagan symbols and locations. In this sense, the Rose was adopted to represent Christ, and all martyr Christians. It’s important to reclaim these things for what they truly are and stop the Christian erasure of Pagan culture. 🌙

Cardinal Moon Herb Series ✨ . Happy Monday everyone! Ready to tackle this week?? I’ll be starting a new job this week, and working up a bunch of other goodies for y’all in my free time. 🥀 This weeks herb is really more of a spice, but I’m including it because it really is a favorite of mine. I’m talking about Star Anise, y’all. Not to be mistaken with Anise, because believe it or not, they’re not even close to the same thing. . Ruled by the air element. 💨 . Star Anise has a surprising amount of health benefits! It can prevent or ease cold and flu symptoms, help improve digestive issues, and boost heart health! Star Anise also contains the active ingredient found in the Influenza fighting drug Tamiflu, though scientists usually create the ingredient in labs now. . Magically, Star Anise is known to ward off evil eye, and prevent bad dreams. It can also heighten psychic awareness & provide easier access to other planes. Even more so, Star Anise is a natural mood booster, because it purifies energy and provides a natural calm! . I use Star Anise regularly in my practice!! All of my Yule Intention Candles feature Star Anise in them. ✨ I love the natural scent and the energy they give off!
