Astrology observations 🩷

These are my first observations ever. I've studied astrology for quite a long time now, so I thought maybe I'll give it a try. 🩷

8th house suns / stelliums really experienced a traumatic upbringing/childhood and I feel like both parents are aloof and not very comforting

They also get along very well with scorpio suns/ scorpio placements or in general water placements

Do virgo suns and mars kiss very aggressively with tongue or is that just my experience 😵‍💫😵‍💫

Pisces rising men are the "pisces men" you all always talk about. They are the worst

They are stoners, they don't get their sh*t together. They kind of don't know how to deal with their sensitivity?? I only met aggressive, dominant and self absorbed pisces rising men.

This can also sometimes apply to pisces moon men. Especially paired with earth in their chart

I know a girl that was born in the evening of October 23rd. She insists on being a libra, even though in reality she's a scorpio sun. She miscalculated her sun sign and put 8am instead of 8pm (her birth time)

You absolutely cannot change her mind about that. She even downloaded co-star where it says that she's a scorpio sun. But she doesn't believe it. She even said " I don't care, I'm still a libra sun"

That's kind of a typical scorpio sun trait, they are very stubborn (because of their fixed nature)

Gemini risings can appear very fake. They aren't necessarily, but they're hardcore people pleasers, they need attention like the air they breathe. They wanna be involved in every friendship group possible. They love standing in the limelight

This could also be because of their leo ic (some gemini risings have leo ic, some have virgo ic) but the ones with leo ic were the star at home. Their parents always let them shine, they didn't have to dim their light at home. So now they're used to it.

If unevolved those leo ic's can be too pleased with themselves and even self-absorbed

Pisces suns cancer moons don't always have to be the "sweet innocent cry baby🥺" everyone makes of them. They can be loud (especially with a fire rising) they are extremely ambitious (because of their cardinal moon) and they go after whatever they want.

Gemini rising is a model placement. The long limbs, the bright eyes, the strong hair. MODELS

Also, there are no cusps in astrology. You're either one or another sign, but never a mixture of both. That is the exact reason for degrees in astrology!

You're either 29 degrees of any sign, or 0 degrees of the next.

If you feel more drawn to the next one, it could be because of personal placements in the next or prior sign or because of aspects that have the "vibe" of this sign.

Hi there

I saw your post about Rellana & Messmer and i really want to know your interpretation of their relationship. Many insist on them being unrequited love but i couldn't really find any evidences that support this interpretation except Rellana's sword description in Eng because the Japanese version is different as it's says the fire & moon were always together .

Anon I am sorry I am so late fdhshf The usual: I was waiting to get to Messmer myself first after doing like 600 side things and then I forgor 😔

But for starters, a couple of funny things regarding the topic! First: I was actually dead sure they were canonically an item because of some thoughts I've heard from the fans early on!! And I got further into this confusion because I've misinterpreted Messmer's emblem as Fire + Twin Moon (since it is two circles overlapping and I first met it in the Castle Ensis), instead of Fire + Two Serpents that it IS! XD

Second: I was instantly confused by the description of Rellana's helmet, because Rennala has brown hair in both concept art portrait and the ingame model. So, the long black hair could not have been a cute parting gift, right....? Well, we resolved it with the help of analysing Japanese text more (this post ( x )), and turned out Rennala DID give her own hair! x) I suppose her hair, or the part that sticks from under the crown, became brown under prolonged strong Amber Egg's light exposure (basically same as sunlight)! However for a month I believed that Rennala simply helped Rellana to tweak her appearance with Amber Egg's magic to charm Messmer better because they knew long black hair was his taste HFSDHFDSGSDG XDDD

So, I was convinced that they were soooo married that they were proudly putting the symbol of alliance of Fire and Moon everywhere. The wording in English 'chase after Messmer' and fanart didn't help x) So.. now it had cleared up a little. As for the Japanese text you're referring to, me and @heraldofcrow asked someone else about it for clarification!

Japanese text breakdown from them is,

Ok, for the first one, she told me that the sentence/description, “ 月と火は、ここでは常に共にあった” has the word “常に” in it for “always.” (It’s “tsuneni” when Anglicized). This means “always, constantly.” So that one is correct. You have verify by even just looking up “tsuneni” in a Japanese dictionary, which I did. Seems right. So, yes the translation is “Moon and fire were constantly/always together here.”

I feel like this is further backed up by a certain other thing within Carians:

Notice how both swords also have identical skill; the use of sorcery with a normal attack after assuming the stance, and the use of fire with a strong attack! Both deal normal, magic and fire damage types! The only thing different is that since then, the celestial body representing the 'sorcery' part changed from stars to Moon, however Carians do not forget their roots!

So all flames, Messmer's included in the end, were an anathema to the Erdtree for the vision of the Cardinal Sin of burning it once (Fire Monks' incantations, Candletree Wooden Shield)!

I see it as Rellana deciding it was bullshit sentiment and actually sorcerers, whether Stars or Moon ones, were supposed to be allies to fire powers, like their origins intended! Liurnia/Carians and the Erdtree became allies after the war ended with Rennala's and Radagon's marriage... Whereas at first Rellana was okay with following the new obligation, for one reason or another she decided to REJECT THE MODERNITY AND EMBRACE THE TRADITION!

I am going to cuss localisation team again, because in Japanese original, the word that is here 'succor' is 癒 (月の輝きが、その男を癒せぬと知っていても) which means to heal! So, the sentiment is, her knowing that she could not fix him the horror plaguing him could not be treated, even with the magic/knowledge of Carians!

Black Knight Commander Andreas and his son Huw stood by Messmer until they've learned WHY Marika "abandoned her son". At this rate I need a T-Shirt that says 'You could never be Tanith' because I need it OFTEN in this DLC hfsdhfds . If Rellana knew of his affliction and still chose to stand by him, that puts her on the level with his Fire Knights, and even his snakes! And we know that Messmer still does need friends, not just his mom.

^ Unlike with the Cleanrot Knights of Malenia getting subjected to her Scarlet Rot by effect, Messmer's flame cannot infect others and it is just a curse for him and his two snake friends. However, Fire Knights attempted to share the burden with him and at least find the satisfaction in using his fire as is! Rellana is similar, because her fire sword IS serpentine and uses his fire:

After having all this context and clearing up my confusion, I think them having unrequited love is possible, but in the other way around! Say instead of her having "chased" him and him not feeling much in return, she had more ideals-fueled reasons to seek him and HE is the one hurting from not being loved the way he wishes!

According to Rogier sky sorceries of either king and the Erdtree were enemies, but sorcery and fire, on the other hand... And an "evil" kind of fire as well; the Fell God is literally named that, it is known as Flame of Ruin, even the Fire Giants carrying it for their god were said to have been burdened by it and it was an anathema to the Erdtree! Marika was not able to overcome her fear before the horror within Messmer although she tried her best to love him, but Rellana maybe decided 'yeah no shade to my sister's tastes but the plea to the Erdtree is kinda dumb, we sorcerers are supposed to be their enemies but allies to all kinds of evil fire! *looks at FF* EXCEPT THAT ONE' fsdhfds She could not heal him, but OG description of her sword makes it sound as though there is a "bigger idea" behind standing with him than just liking him. Aliance of sorcery and fire. She sees standing with him like more natural order and fate!

Messmer, on the other hand, would like to be liked (by her) on a more "primitive" level, without all that historical and philosophical nonsense! He is a person, not a symbol! ..but at the same time, he sorta knows he can't be. It is not just a problem with her, it is a problem with... everyone, really. He is carrying this curse and hates his fire, and to truly understand him would be to experience it the same way as he does. Something Fire Knights attempted to do, but it didn't work. But at the same time, he feels like even if he could infect people with his flame, he would not want to subject her to it in particular. With the Knights their honor kinda implies giving him their all, but despite her also being his blade he sees her as an equal! Someone who is better off not being burdened by his curse. Additionally, he already second-guesses whether he ruined her life by effect by """making""" her lose her right as a princess just to stand with him! Yeah, true, he needs Melina to lecture him on people's agency, but those with very low/negative opinion on selves OFTEN believe that they have more power over people than they actually do. Like they are "manipulating" them by literally just standing there (menacingly), and everything is always their fault..

So yeah! I think Rellana is a little 'clueless' about their bond, nor Messmer is doing enough to express his feelings! She sees them as Moon and Fire, not as Rellana and Messmer, and seems pretty content this way! He, on the other hand, would probably actually charm her romantically if he was not so gloomy and reclusive and put in conscious effort! He has a lot of charisma he is not using to get bitches when he CAN!! But he bounces between the 'why can't she like me in a more personal way?' vs 'wait, why WOULD she? it is better if she doesn't. damn I am an awful person as usual for wanting such thing.' ...🙄

They both have the capacity of developing relationship, but if Rellana is feeling attracted she is clueless about it simply because she won't think of it without being prompted to. With Messmer, he becomes STUPID vulnerable and self-conscious for multiple reasons pondering upon forming a bond this deep with her! I know it is an overused comedy trope, but picture Moonrithyll and [insert a Fire Knight] seeing the clear tension between the two and facepalming about how dumb they are about it XD Or, alternatively, trying to match-make them so they'd stop being so embarrassing and just fuck already lmaoooo fdghfsdg

Conclusion: both are too occupied with their own stuff to make a conscious effort towards it, but the potential and the tension is here! He has more talent for good romantic gestures and just the right tender things to say than he (or anyone else) realises that would make Rellana blush and stumble. Act slightly tsundereish, even, because she is not good at the "soft" things. She, on the other hand, is on more blunt side and her expressions of attraction would be passionate, and mostly vulgar I think. And that'd make HIM blush, because he is not good at THIS stuff! His style is some sentimental sweet line, her style is complimenting his slim ass or whatever fsdfsg Strong romantic energy from Messmer who dies at sexual commentaries, and strong sexual energy from Rellana who is no longer so tough at some nice poetry. Because they're "opposites" in such ways, there is a lot of awkwardness, but also a lot of dynamic!

(+A funnier interpretation is Messmer being romantic asexual that'd be still willing to have sex with someone he loves, and Rellana is aromantic sexual that'd still be okay with cuddles and kisses and stuff from someone she desires! They have each their own way to love and try to make it work. Just a more 'direct' version of the dynamic I've described previously, is this anything? xd)

Astrology Observations🌬

Venus square Mars in synastry can cause an extremely *intense* sexual attraction between two people. However, this is an aspect that can go either way in terms of attraction. If the two people have many squares between their personal planets, Venus square Mars can manifest as a strong dislike or irritation towards each other. Nevertheless, this aspect typically works better if it is the Woman’s Venus making a square to the Man’s Mars. If the Venus person is not attracted to the Mars person, they can find their (Mars Persons) advances unsettling or “too much”.

I personally know a few people with the aspect Mars square Pluto in their natal charts. Interestingly, the men with this aspect gravitate towards high impact sports like football and rugby (two of them are actually professional athletes). Whilst the others are adrenaline junkies, or prefer to engage in hobbies that contain an element of risk (racing etc..) In a woman’s chart, I have found that this aspect tends to account for some of the men she attracts into her life, or the experiences she has had in the hands of other people.

The progressed Moon entering the 5th house (along with other co-occurring 5th house transits) is a strong indication of potentially falling pregnant.

On the topic of progressions, something so interesting that I observed in a few charts, is that when the persons progressed Venus entered their 10th house or Capricorn, they started to attract romantic partners who were of status. In simpler terms, people who had high paying jobs or those who were in the spotlight in some way, started showing interest in them. (Another manifestation of this progression is paying more attention to your career than your romantic life, or seeking stable long-term commitments over flings)

I’ve been closely analyzing Synastry that has a lot of Neptunian themes. Honestly, I’ve found that the delusion or rose-colored glasses often goes both ways. Let’s take Venus square Neptune in synastry, most people will say that it’s the Venus person projecting their ideals into the Neptune person and I fully agree. However, if the Neptune person is highly Neptunian or Plutonian themselves, they are likely to reciprocate the idealization/devaluation dynamic that often occurs in this synastry aspect.

Venus in the 10th house of a natal chart can manifest in different ways (like most placements). However, I’ve found that women (cishet)with this placement, often attract men who want to make them their ‘trophy wife’. These women often receive a lot of attention from the public in general, this is especially true if Venus is conjunct Neptune, Mars, or Pluto in the 10th.

Moon square Moon in synastry (2 degree orb or less), is one of my least favorites. It’s not to say that your relationship is absolutely doomed if you have this aspect. Squares actually push you to grow and they add an element of excitement in the relationship. However, I don’t like squares between the Moon, as your emotional natures are fundamentally different. What is initially exciting in the beginning, becomes unbearable and conflict provoking in the end. For this aspect to be diffused, both people will need to be willing to meet each other halfway. People with Mutable moons are better at handling this aspect as they are open to change & flexibility . This square in a fixed sign, is where you will really see a huge clash in egos, as neither will want to let the other get the upper hand in this dynamic. Whereas, this aspect in cardinal signs, can create a lot of attraction between to people, but their arguments are likely to be intense & quite frequent. Emotional maturity from both sides is required to make this aspect work!

I checked the Solar Return for a person who I developed a significant relationship with a few years ago. Interestingly, my natal Sun was the same sign as his solar return descendent the year we met. Whereas, his natal Venus was in the same sign as my Solar return 8th house ( we developed a significant sexual relationship that year) Another very interesting observation in my solar returns was that when my solar return rising sign was in the same sign as my natal 5th or 7th house, I would attract romantic partners whose Sun signs or other personal planets matched my solar return rising sign. I think these occurrences were what really made me in awe of astrology because I was like “no way” .

I have found Sun square Moon, Venus square Mars, and Venus square Uranus to be common in the composite charts of people who are “friends with benefits”. Please note this is based on my *own* research and observation. So, please don’t see this and think you’ll never be in a committed partnership with someone because you have this aspect in your composite chart.

I actually just very recently observed an interesting manifestation of Chiron in the 6th that I thought I’d share. So earlier in this post, I mentioned knowing people with Mars square Pluto in their charts. Well, one of them also has Chiron in the 6th, and he mentioned to me that because of the constant impact he receives whilst playing rugby (he does it professionally) his physical health often takes a huge hit. He’s experienced fractured bones, concussions, a dislocated shoulder etc… I thought that was very interesting, as he wasn’t born with a chronic illness or any physical difficulties, his career is what is activating his 6H Chiron.

The 2nd house represents your wealth potential. Meaning, it can tell you the ways in which you can make your own money . I honestly find that the 2nd house, along with the 5th house can show you your potential “side hustles”. For example, if you have Pisces over your 2nd house cusp, you may make money through art, photography, spirituality, or even by doing something that requires you to make use of your imagination/compassion.

People with Mercury in the 6th are often very tidy, as in they hate mess. However, if mercury is afflicted the opposite is likely to be true.

This is more of a controversial one (I’m also not intending to offend anyone by this) , but astrological researchers have found that earth dominant women (and individuals in general) are more likely to go into sex work, than people who are dominant in the other elements. Interestingly, having a Capricorn Venus & Mars was also common in the chart of sex workers. This actually makes sense if you think about it, as there is a sort of detached approach to Venus matters with this placement. Capricorn also represents wealth (and Mars is exalted in Capricorn). Thus, these individuals are better able to use their own physical & sexual appeal for financial gain. Now not everyone who is into sex work does it for the money, but it’s just an interesting observation. I must also add that Virgo & Libra placements were also common in the charts of sex workers!

If you want to predict major life changing events, I recommend you look at your Solar arcs and your Secondary progressions. I’m actually thinking of doing a separate post to detail the different predictive techniques, and which ones to especially pay close attention to. Your progressed Moon reaching an angle (1st, 4th, 7th, 10th) will be an extremely significant time in your life. A progressed new moon is also going to bring about major life changes related to the house in which it is occurring. Your solar return is helpful when it comes to telling you about your year ahead. Your activated profection year can do this too. But I will create an entirely different post detailing all of these things for those who are interested in predictive astrology!

She was actually based on a dream I had, about a Sailor-Moon-esque woman running the everloving hell away from cops because she was a cult leader. Her personality just kind of made itself while I was writing the story.

Katherine:

Forgive me, for I have committed the cardinal sin of making y'all read almost 9k words about a self-insert. Well, she started off as one, cos I had a horrible fever while writing the first half of the story and could barely hold a plot together. About 500 words in she stopped, though.Her name came from a really old oc of mine, who was a preteen spy against evil demonic teachers.

Hash:

I've told you about Hash being based on Hashbrowns like a dozen times already, but her personality's a treat too :) She was originally meant to be Hans' doppelganger, but when I was writing her, she had other ideas, and that's how I ended up with whatever the hell she is :')

Iraela:

This'll be a long one. Iraela's original story was about being the ignored little sister of the real Lich-Queen, and how she ended up setting the entire Deadlands alight (killing herself in the process) in order to finally feel loved and safe. Then I decided to give her a happier ending, and swapped her and Ram's places. Her name was based off the word Ire, or rage :)

what Did I Do?

Little quick Drabble for my buddy! B.lastoff / on.slaught. Angst, binge eating…. Belching….

No sooner did the shared habsuit door close did he let out a quivering sigh. Just what had possessed him to do what he had done? Did he lose his mind? Heaving deep breaths, Bla/st O/ff peeled himself from leaning against the door and smacked his servo on his helm.

“Stupid…. Stupid…. Stupid!” Each word was followed by hitting himself on the helm as he paced around his room. His frame still tingled with the dread of realizing the severity of what he had done.

And just what did he do?

He performed a cardinal sin amongst the Decep/ticons: he honestly spilled his feelings in a silly little love note to his crush. And he gave it to said crush.

So, when he was called into his boss’s office, one of two things would happen: On/slaught would finally acknowledge him and return the feelings… or On/slaught would finally acknowledge him and humiliate him for being so foolish.

It turns out neither of those options happened. As Bla/st O/ff sat in the chair, he noticed his stupid, school-girl love note had fallen to the ground. His spark froze in his chest: his crush didn’t read it! Biting his lip, he wondered if he could snatch the incriminating evidence and save his face.

Sadly, On/slaught discovered the note, stopped rambling about battle plans (for once), and bent down to pick it up.

And much to the subordinate’s horror, he unfolded the note and read it—yup, right in front of him.

Talk about sweating bullets! His stomach churned as his frame warmed. His fingers idly fidgeted as he squirmed in his seat. Naturally, the Lead Combat/icon’s expression was unreadable, so he had no clue how his love/boss felt.

Until the note was lowered. And On/slaught stared into Bla/st O/ff’s optics blankly.

And this moment of silence was deafening. It was quieter than being in deep space. It felt like hours had passed, and he could not pull his fearful stare from the blue mech.

But being the coward he was, Bla/st O/ff stuttered, apologizing profusely as he bolted out the meeting room door. Yes, On/slaught called after him, but he couldn’t muster the courage or strength to obey. Instead, he ran back to his small habsuit, tears sliding down his reddening face.

This leads him to where he is currently: pacing his room and biting at his fingertips. Just what did he get himself into? And how could he get himself out of this?

He couldn’t remain still. He needed to do something before the repetitive self-destructive thoughts took over. Sadly, he suffered bouts of this and gave in to old habits. He snagged a bunch of snacks from the shared kitchen—more than his fair share—and retreated to his personal sleeping quarters.

He sat upon his berth, replaying the humiliating scene repeatedly in his processor as he mindlessly opened boxes of sweets and freed them from the plastic wrappers. As soon as that sweetness filled his mouth, he felt a smidge better. The moist, cream-filled cake lit his taste receptors, causing them to dance with joy.

Primus, junk food always hits the spot when feeling down!

As soon as one little calcium cake was finished, fingertips were sucked clean, and another was pulled from the box. Bla/st O/ff cooed with each bite, optics slitting to half-moons as each treat was greedily devoured. Each swallow brought happiness to replace the fear. Each new cake unwrapped promised the excitement of such a pleasurable experience. Each time his maws sunk in, squishing pink cream around his lips, the ‘Co/n felt like he was in some kind of utopia.

This abruptly ended with his servo reaching into an empty box. The family-sized treats, which had previously been unopened, didn’t last very long. Licking his lips, Bla/st O/ff sighed and discarded the empty box. Thankfully, there was plenty more to choose from.

Box after box, the Cyber/tonian treats were devoured. While the pace slowed down, the shuttle continued to engorge himself on this unhealthy feast. His belly soon swelled, grumbling with being stuffed so full. Upon a painful spasm, Bla/st O/ff grimaced and rubbed a servo over the massive ball that sat upon his lap.

“Primus,” The Co/n stared at the aftermath of his binge. “I really overdid it this time…” Glancing around, he saw the evidence of his raid. Empty boxes and wrappers littered his berth and floor. His gestalt mates would surely be mad!

His belly gave a clench, and its owner whimpered. Pressure was building up just below his chest despite the rubbing. His abdomen felt extremely bloated as tightness kicked in. Suddenly, a loud gurgling noise trembled through his tummy. Bla/st O/ff clenched his optics shut as fingers desperately worked to soothe this angry beast!

“Ah….” Bla/st O/ff whined, feeling as if there was something stuck in his pipes. It slowly bubbled upwards, and no amount of swallowing could halt its progress. Unable to contain this anymore, a loud, echoing belch erupted.

“Bwwwoooorrrrrruuuuuggggghhhhhhhpppp!”

Prim/us, how undignified! However, his stomach felt better as it rumbled on his lap. He sighed, leaning back to relax before he had to clean up his room.

“Excuse you.” A voice called out, snapping the shuttle from his blissful state.

Bla/st O/ff, whipping his helm around, discovered On/slaught standing in his doorframe, staring at him.

Oh dear Prim/us, could this day get any worse? He tucked over himself, attempting to hide his gut from the other’s view. “O…On/slaught…. I…..” Dang, tears welled up in his optics as he felt his cheeks grow hot. “What…I… I’m so-“

The leader of the gestalt held up his hand, beckoning silence. His other hand raised, revealing a clear plastic container holding a geode-cheese cake. “I…thought you might like something sweet…”

Was that a hint of a smile appearing on On/slaught’s faceplates

The sun is in detriment in aquarius and is at home in uranus. Similarly to the cardinal signs, there is an even split between the signs with respect to the luminaries. However, the outer planet that this modality is involved with is Uranus.

ASPECTS IN ASTROLOGY

There are two ways through which planets influence one another, and those would be rulership and aspect. We dealt with rulership in yesterday's post regarding essential dignities. Now let's look into how aspects work.

Starting with a definition, aspects are geometrical configurations describing different types of dynamics between planets, and they are the main means through which planets communicate. The five major aspects, also known as the Ptolemaic aspects (though they predate Ptolemy), are the conjunction, opposition, trine, square, and sextile.

With that said, we can split them into two categories:

🔮 Harmonious: Sextile, Trine.

— They have the nature of benefic planets: Venus & Jupiter, respectively.

— Harmoniously aspected (trine, sextile) planets work well together and work to express their respective qualities cohesively. Harmony allows for the positive expression of each planet to be more present than the negative one.

🔮 Disharmonious: Square, Opposition.

— They possess the nature of malefic planets: Mars & Saturn, respectively.

— Disharmoniously aspected planets perform in discordance. They represent planets that can't work well together because they have different priorities, resulting in friction and discord.

→ aspects can be divided into two types, same-sign aspects, and those based on visual metaphors.

Category 1 :

🔮 CONJUNCTIONS:

Conjunctions are not regarded as aspects by many. They represent planets standing right next to each other, on the same degree (or within a small-ish orb of each other), in the same sign, and depending on each planet involved, this can be a positive or negative aspect. A common & incorrect misconception is that planetary energies are "mixed together" through conjunctions — what conjunctions actually describe is planets generally being on the same page & having the same objective. How they express this objective together will be filtered through the nature of each planet.

🔮 CO-PRESENCE :

In addition to conjunction, we can also list one additional configuration that, while not considered an aspect per se either, is still regarded as powerful: co-presence. Planets that are said to be copresent by sign without being conjoined by degree are said to be especially influential upon each other, owing to being “with” each other. However, it is not specifically called an aspect because the planets are literally in the same place, rather than “seeing” each other.

Category 2 :

The other four aspects are based on a visual metaphor that utilizes the thema mundi (which calls for a post of its own), but, tl;dr: the thema mundi is a mythical chart used in Hellenistic astrology that shows the alleged positions of the seven visible planets (including the Sun and Moon) at the beginning of the universe—its' main uses are to explain the logic behind the rulership system, provide meanings to the aspects, among other things. It's of purely symbolic nature.

🔮 Sextile — of the nature of Venus. Harmonious, mildly positive.

A sextile is when two planets are 60° apart from each other. These planets share polarity (diurnal vs. nocturnal), so they operate in the same way. The relationship is one of complement and harmony.

🔮 Trine — of the nature of Jupiter. Harmonious, very positive.

A trine is when two planets are 120° away from each other, sharing the same element but not modality (opposite of a Square). These planets can work very well together because they share the same element. The relationship is one of strong harmony much like the nature of Jupiter. Oftentimes trines tend to signify unconscious gifts & areas one is considered a "natural" at.

🔮 Square — of the nature of Mars. Disharmonious, combative, denotes friction.

Squares take place when planets are 90° apart from each other. These planets share the same modality (Cardinal, Fixed, or Mutable) but their expression (read: their element) of that modality is different, and that is what causes the friction. Mainly represent internal conflicts within the native.

🔮 Opposition - of the nature of Saturn. Very disharmonious, conflicted.

Planets within a 180° orb are said to oppose each other directly on the zodiac wheel. The planetary energies involved are actively working against each other. It denotes discord, standoffishness, or obstruction, much like the nature of Saturn.

🔮 Signs Not In Aspect :

Signs that are not in one of the above 4 relationships with each other are said to be “inconjunct” or “not in concord”.

→ Now that we went through the respective qualities of each aspect, let's explore another relevant topic — orbs & applying/separating aspects :

🔮 Orbs :

Represent the margin & range of influence in which the aspect between two planets is thought to come into effect & have a significant influence. Feel free to use whatever orbs feel comfortable for you, but know the wider the orb: the less of a connection these planets have, and the smaller the orb, the stronger the connection. Most astrological programs & sites use a default orb of 10°.

🔮 What about the dynamics of application & separation between planets?

If any planets are applying/separating in aspect: the faster planet makes the aspect, the slower planet receives the aspect. Which is to say: only faster-moving planets make aspects (applying or separating).

The order of speed has already been discussed in another post but a reminder that the order goes: Moon > Mercury > Venus > Sun > Mars > Jupiter > Saturn.

TL;DR : the Moon creates the most aspects (i.e can apply or separate from any planet, is always on the aspect-making end), while Saturn creates the least aspects (i.e it can only apply or separate from outers, is usually on the receiving end). You can deduce how it goes for other planets following this framework.

Applying aspects are granted a wider orb than separating ones in certain branches of astrology — because the energies are proactive, converging, and the climax is still approaching. Separating aspects, on the other hand, are reflective, as the aspect has passed the point at which it was exact, and are moving away from it.

Additionally, applying & separating aspects also have their own significations. In horary astrology, applying aspects can be used to predict upcoming events that will happen between individuals/areas of life, while separating aspects is used to describe past events.

So to summarize: when a faster planet is moving towards the exact degree of an aspect with a slower planet, that aspect is applying. Conversely, when a faster planet is departing from the exact degree of an aspect with a slower planet, that aspect is separating. Aspects become more intense as the applying planet gets closer, and they are particularly potent when within a 3° Orb. After separation, aspects become less intense. While a separating aspect lack the urgency of an applying aspect, it (especially when involving the Moon) is still essential for certain Hellenistic techniques like electional astrology, primary directions, or horary astrology.

Lunar Partial Eclipse in Taurus 

On Saturday, October 28th @ 1:24 AM there will be a Lunar Eclipse in Taurus. This will be the last eclipse in the Taurus-Scorpio axis till 2031!! We are finishing up a cycle that began in November 2021. Think about where you were, what you were doing, and how did you feel during that first set of eclipses? 

This eclipse will be happening @ 5° of Taurus. Check your chart for where Taurus sits to give you insight to the area this eclipse will be impacting you. Unlike the Annular Solar Eclipse we had on Oct 14, this Lunar Partial will be a Full Moon, so the same Full Moon energies are on a larger magnitude. Endings. What are you letting go? What lessons have you learned in the past two years that you can incorporate to help you grow? 

With a Lunar eclipse this means the Sun is opposite the Moon. Sun in Scorpio is opp Moon in Taurus @ 5°. How are you balancing what you say/need on the surface level with what your subconscious think about or may obsess with? For example, are you searching for material possessions (Taurus) because you obsess over (Scorpio) lacking or not having security/stability? This also happening at 5° (Leo degree), which may bring up feelings and conversations about your father/male or an authority figure in your life. Check in with you heart, literally. Think heart health. Do you need to go to the doctor? Are you worried about your health?

This eclipse is happening in the 3H in this forecast, so what communication/conversation (3H=gemini) will you be having? The Sun (self) will be in the 9H, so your mindset and outlook (philosophy) may change six months from now. Depending on where this eclipse sits, you may be thinking about going back to school (higher education). Some of you maybe moving or doing some long distance travel (9H=sagittarius). People in the spotlight, celebrities, monarchies, and politicians may fall from grace. Full Moons are still about illuminating, and although the moon is moving into Earth’s shadow, it is highlighting what is behind the surface. Highlighting, what is hiding literally in the shadows. Especially with this eclipse happening in 5°, more news may come out heads of countries. Someone may die and it may bring suppressed information to light.

On this day, we also have Neptune in Pisces @ 25° semi-square to Jupiter in Taurus @ 11°. How can you turn your dreams into reality? What actions do you need to set into motion? Semi-squares are about internal frustration or conflict. What is stirring inside you that you need to change? The Neptune in Pisces @ 25° is signaling a new beginning, new step being taken (25°=Aries=Cardinal degree). The expansive Jupiter in Taurus at 11° is letting us know you may be taking an unorthodox way of achieving your dreams. Neptune and Jupiter co-rule Pisces, which is in the 2H for this transits chart. Cash flow (income) may change following this transits. Maybe you are purging material possessions, and letting go of old habits, to reprioritize what you truly desire. This might be a highly emotional time.

Mercury @ 10° and Mars @ 11° will form a conjunction in Scorpio. This eclipse will be an ideal time to journal and think about whatever is on your mind. Are you thinking about work? Relationships? Family? Your career? Health? You are more attuned to your thoughts, try not to engage in obsessive thinking  during this time though. With Mars sitting in the sign that it rules, Scorpio (traditional astrology) you may feel a little more energized, and fiery. Be mindful of your words as you and others may be more argumentative during this transit. However, this is a great time if you are researching a topic, this conjunction in Scorpio may help you have more depth in the topic. Channel any buildup energy into action. 

This conjunction will make an opposite to Jupiter in Taurus @ 11°. Mars in Scorpio making an exact opposition. What do you ultimately want? Think of Taurus as the surface level appearance/ideas whereas Scorpio is the feelings below the surface. Ex. Valuing (Taurus) relationship security because fear (underneath feeling=Scorpio) of abandonment. When there is an opposition in a transit, we will be dealing with the duality of the two energies (Taurus & Scorpio). How can we cooperate? Or do we need break away? Maybe your relationship isn’t giving you the security you need. You can either take action to get their security or walk away. I see anything with Mars as dealing with action. If you are wanting more, you may be inclined to take risk to achieve it. However, be deliberate, don’t lose sight of the bigger picture. Understand when to fight or flight. Pick your battles during this transit. Since we are dealing with Jupiter, new opportunities may be offered to you. Do not overextend yourself. Again, balance the energies. 

Neptune in Pisces @ 25° will form a sesquiquadrate with Mercury in Scorpio @ 10° you may be confused because of external friction happening around you. A shift in your perception/thinking (Mercury) may be challenged and changed. You may be put in a position to assert yourself, make your presence known. Do it. This is an opportunity for personal growth.

Timothee Chalamet (Capricorn stellium, including the Sun, Mercury, Mars, Uranus, Neptune)

Well today we'll be breaking down an stellium, I chose Timothee over other celebrities, because, he has 3 personal planet in Capricorn, and Uranus and Neptune are tightly conjunct to his chart ruler (Mercury).

I want you to know that these are my personal observations, the placements I'll be describing doesn't necessarily have to work the same for everyone, depending of other aspects you may have in your chart the description of the following aspects may change. Also I'm not a professional astrologer, I just love astrology and got to learn it with my own means, so whatever I found out about certain placements may not be the same for everyone else.

I found this mix really interesting, most of them, excluding the Sun, are in the 5th, the natural house of Leo (he has great hair, and he's haircut is really popular among his fans, Capricorn rules over hair and 5th house can point out what are we popular for), it's ruler Saturn is in 7th house in Pisces and Neptune in Capricorn conjunct his chart ruler (Mercury) is doing a reception (when two planets are in a sign rule by the other). Saturn rules Capricorn where Neptune is, and Saturn is in Pisces which is rules by Neptune. Good reception between rulers of their 5th and 7th houses makes a native charming and there's a tendency to work in diplomatic and creative matters, as Timothee does.

This stellium is in Capricorn, the only earth- Cardinal sign of the zodiac, it's starting nature (cardinal) is constructive and takes time (earth quality), this could be a real challenge to his Uranus conjunct to Mercury at 5 degree, this could indicate a nervous and compulsive thinking process, and being Mercury his chart ruler, he's natural energy is imprinted with this nervousness and restless attitude, he's indeed a deep thinker with high intelligence, obviously this highly intelligence is sublimed by Neptune influence, probably Timothee is more a dreamer (Mercury conjunct Neptune at 0°) than a intellectual even though he could be really conscious of low chance of making he's dreams come true (Capricorn energy influencing most of his planets and moon conjunct Saturn in Pisces). Even though his stellium is in Capricorn, it's ruler Saturn is in the dreamy pisces conjunct with his moon, this indicate that he's deeply involved with his dreams and is capable of working hard to fullfil whatever project is on his mind (doesn't matter how hard to reach it seems), his cardinal-mutable reception makes him adaptable and with a great deal motivation to start new challenge, absolutely his Uranus and Neptune conjunct his chart ruler makes him want an emocional and challenging project which can improve his creative abilities, he's probably always looking for mastery in every creative activity he stars.

Mercury in Capricorn ruling his rising and Mc is a great indicator of his tendency to put a lot of effort in his career and to over- identify with his creative work. He can have a lot of hunger for success (mars exalted in Capricorn leading the conjunction at 3° with Mercury and Neptune), although, he can fail to create a plan to reach this, Saturn in Pisces is challenging him to approach his dreams with realistic expectations and Neptune in Capricorn offers him such a structure visions of what to expect success be like, he can be disappointed with what fame is about and feel he's limited by the entertainment industry (Uranus in the 5th house and ruling his 6th house).

Mars is exalted and leading this conjunct (Mars rules 8th house and co-rules 3rd house), and even though is 8° far from Uranus gives him a different approach to conquer his desires, and also can make him quite impulse in this pursuit; also Mars influencing his tightly Mercury-Neptune conjunction gives his imaginative thinking a great amount of courage to go after what he wants. Mars co-ruling one of Mercury houses (Scorpio 3h) shows a intense ambitions and thoughts about his creative pursuit, more so with Pluto in Sagittarius also in the 3h, and with Aries 8h he's really aware and in control of his most intimate desires and ambitious, because of his really well aspected Mars; he posses an aggressive approach that is subtle moderate by his Capricorn energy and his Neptune conjunct, most of his passion will be express through his larger than life creativity.

One of his major challenge will be that square between his Sun in the early degrees of Capricorn and his moon in the later degrees of Pisces, his Sun is conjunct with expansive Jupiter in Sagittarius which is Dom, and his Moon is conjunct the restrictive Saturn; squares in signs that usually work well together (water-earth, fire-air) tend to give a really dynamic tension, although can create a conflicted massage in a natives actions, he's probably a really generous person who tends to feel restrictive in his one-on-one relationships, his Sun in this 4th house give Capricorn a softer approach to his ego, but this also limit him to relate as expansive as he has grown for (he may be quite shy and clumsy in his one-on-one approach), because of some patterns that restricted his emocional side, he could project this coldness to other around him, instead of own this side of his personality. He could feel rejected and excluded by others around him, and his ego could try to protect himself by adopting a overly generous and expansive persona, even though this is not something we may notice cause is in his 4th house, and probably he keeps this private.

Something interesting is that Saturn is also squaring his MC and IC, conjunct his DC and opposite his Rising, so this strong Saturnian influence can make one have a pessimistic view of self (all that self-awareness and self-depreciation), and really high standards in multiple areas of his life (he seems like a hard-working guy). His moon rules 11th house and his Saturn 5th house, therefore, something that could make him feel set apart is his creative expression, he could feel misunderstood and different from his friends and relatives (11th house) and that's why he may lack emotional deepness in most of his associations, the kind of person who has many acquaintances and few friends. Also his Sun rules his 12th house and his Jupiter his 4th house, and he has said that his father (Sun) is from France (12th house rules foreign lands) and it has a positive impact in his personality to get to know his father culture (Jupiter rules expansion and optimism, and its Dom in Sagittarius).

His MC as I said before is rule by Mercury, so although we see him as a jovial and great chatter person, he seems mature cause Mercury is in Capricorn and Saturn is squaring his MC, also he appears quite strange, dreamy and sometimes even impulsive, something not unusual with Mars, Uranus and Neptune conjunct his MC ruler.

So well that's it, I try to analyze mostly his artistic career and not talk to much about his personal life, cause I don't feel that comfortable doing that. I think we can say Timothee is quite realistic yet passionate and idealistic about his self expression and his creative pursuits, he has some self-contained traits when he's relating with others, this is mostly because he avoid rejection and humiliation, he most try to be as independent as he can, and as long as he avoid dealing with his emotional baggage, he most possibly be attracted to emotional draining situations as some projects as movies or even hardly relationships who keep him attracting emotional unbalanced people or people who makes him act in an emocional unbalanced way.

Soul Calibur Cast Birthdays/Adoption Days and their Astrology Signs (including their Element, Modality, Decans, their celestial rulers and their sub-rulers)

I do Astrology and divination as a side hobby (not on this blog) along with art and writing, and I got curious and decided to apply what I know to the major Soul cast in particular because the Soul games are my favourite, are also my special interest at the moment (and what this side-blog is about) and cos my autistic ass tends to mix two special interests together into...this.

Notes and disclaimers before we begin:

- Usually with people, I would ask for their birth time and birth location to take a look at their Natal Chart, Synastry, Sun, Moon, Rising, etc. But since these are fictional characters (aka not real) and not a lot of people who make characters and their stories tend to do that (which is expected), I'll use the Sun signs' Decans as they give just as much insight on a person or a character's behaviour as a full Natal Chart without needing to rely on a birth time, although it does not absolutely explain everything. And some of these characters have their birth town anonymous for their own reasons anyway.

- Each sign has a celestial ruler. For example, Aries is ruled by Mars. Also to note, since the Soul games take place between the latter end of the 16th Century (SoulEdge/SoulBlade to SoulCalibur 4 and 6) to the beginning of the 17th Century (SoulCalibur 5), some celestial bodies (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) wouldn't have been discovered at the time, but I will use them anyway along with the sign's traditional celestial ruler (ex: Scorpio is ruled by both Pluto and Mars).

- The Elements of Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius), Earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn), Air (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) and Water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) represent a sign's core energy and the tools we tend to use in our lifetime. Fire is dynamic, active, and playful, but is also aggressive, impatient, and impulsive. Earth is physical, tangible, and practical, but is also cold, critical, and harsh. Air is mental, cerebral, and communicative, but is also unpredictable, emotionally-detached, and fickle. And Water is emotional, intuitive, and deep, but is also insecure, controlling, and has a hard time setting or respecting boundaries.

- The Modalities of Cardinal (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn), Fixed (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) and Mutable (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) represent how we express that core energy, how we react to unexpected changes, and how we navigate through challenges. Cardinal Signs are the spark that set things aflame, tend to tolerate new changes, create ideas seemingly out of thin air and sometimes are seen as the leaders of their respective Elements. Fixed Signs are hard-working and carry out their plans with fixed focus like being handed a torch to keep lit, but are very stubborn, often dislike changes to their routine, and will go through challenges with brute force if they have to. Mutable Signs give finishing touches to what was started by the Cardinal and built up by the Fixed Signs, have the adaptability of a chameleon (for better or worse) and are often seen as the wisest of the modalities (tho, what they use that wisdom for can lead to either prosperous or disastrous results).

- Decans represent three versions of the same sign (ex: there is no one way to be an Aries, there are three, the first Decan ruled by Mars and has core Aries traits, the second is co-ruled by the Sun and has Leo traits, and the last is ruled by Jupiter and has Sagittarius traits) that are separated 10 degrees or 10 days away from each other. The Babylonians and Ancient Egyptians found this out thousands of years ago.

- This is more of a first glance list and not deep dives of each character, and I cannot guarantee that these signs, their elements, modalities and their Decans will 100% resonate with the characters, their behaviours, the stories that play out with them and how we, as the player/artist/writer/etc, interpret them as some traits listed above tend to go into stereotype territory, but your interpretations, headcanons and opinions are open and welcome nonetheless.

- If I missed anyone or I got a sign wrong (some characters are born on a cusp and usually this is where I would have to ask for a birth time and birth location if these characters were real life people and it would obviously be weird of me to ask a couple of pixels on a screen for their birth time or birth location) or just made a mistake in general, please let me know and I'll get right on it with an update.

- The exceptions I'll make for this list are guest characters despite whether or not if they played a part in the games' story (Geralt as a prime example for SoulCalibur 6), for obvious reasons.

There's some interesting stuff about Astrology online, including everything I've listed. But if we managed to get all those notes and disclaimers out of the way despite this post looking a little messy to understand, let's begin!

this is the chart i pulled for you. the ascendant is in the early degrees which means this question is a ~bit~ immature. i actually think the position has just opened up or been created bc 6th house which is in gemini so the ruler is mercury. mercury is in 0 zeros. FRESH out of a detriment in sagittarius. so the job is looking brand spanking new. and its in the ends of the 12th house meaning its in some blind spot? maybe in a position or field you haven't considered before.

but the important part. timing. all the methods that i know of are pointing me to one month? if we take the difference btwn signifiers: in this case you being saturn because the ascendant is in capricorn with a saturn ruler. saturn is in 1 degree and the other signifier is that mercury in 0 degrees. so one degree btwn them meaning one unit of time.

but also moon is the main co-ruler of you who asked the question and the best indicator of time and its cancer (cardinal sign) in the 7th house (angular) at 29 degrees. the distance btwn the moon and either signifier is 28-29. moon being in a cardinal sign AND in angular house means its the fastest time unit. so 28 days. aka a month. 😲

Remembering an old Solar Return story (demonstrating scenarios for relocating for your Solar Return) about this lady who was having trouble going through with quitting the job she’d hated for years.

The astrologer drew up the Solar Return for her birthday that year, but her comms house (3H) was intercepted in Scorpio, with the Moon and Uranus, showing that she might still have trouble finally making the choice to quit and actually go through with communicating it (intercepted Scorpio = blockage to endings, intercepted Uranus = blockage to freeing herself, intercepted 3H Moon = reluctance to speak her mind/follow her instincts and desires).

So she decided to travel out of state for her birthday and the houses in her Solar Return changed ever so slightly - the 3H was no longer intercepted…but of course it was still in Scorpio.

Turns out she didn’t have to quit after all…she was fired when she returned from her trip, because before she left she had an argument with her boss (Mars in Virgo in the 1H conjunct Saturn = contention (Mars) at work (Virgo) with the boss (Saturn)).

She was mad and had some choice things to say, and one of her sneaky coworkers decided to switch on the public address system, so everyone in the building ended up hearing what she was saying in anger (Mars in Virgo can also show coworkers being the opponent to fight + Saturn was ruling the 6H).

Papa Emeritus I- 9/10 Papa. I see him as a “Daughter” dad. Takes you to Mass every Sunday. Admittedly, is a little disappointed if you don’t join the Clergy, but supports you in whatever you do. You’re definitely going to be a member of the Anti-Church’s chorus as a youth, though.

Papa Emeritus II- 3/10 Papa. Look, there’s a GOOD chance he never raised you. The sort of dad that’d hand you a check for your Birthday. Not good with young children, but probably can speak and level with you better as a parent when you hit high-school.

Papa Emeritus III- 7/10 Papa. Actively a part of his children’s lives, though not a good “father” figure. Definitely the sort of person who tried though. You have baby pictures of yourself and he in sunglasses in the park. Sorta in a weird situation with all the sex stuff because... Well. That’s his kid? Wants to teach them right, but also knows it’s REALLY awkward. He tries.

Cardinal Copia/ Papa Emeritus IV- 2/10 Papa. Look. I love Cardi C. I really do, but man has got NONE of his shit together. Man’s in his 40′s and is still babied by his mama. He’d LEARN, I guess, but the only thing redeeming him from being a total wash as a parent is those who love him.

Papa Nihil- 8.5/10 Granpapa- The sort of person who insists they don’t want grandchildren, don’t need grandchildren, ect. However the moment you come around he’s just- he can’t help himself. Pinches your cheeks and calls you nick-names. Frequently steals you from your parents whenever he gets the chance and he does it all. Baby Baths? Yes. Diapers? Yes. Feeds you and doesn’t mind getting his alb dirty? Yes. Yes. Give this man a baby to openly coddle and he’d be over the MOON. The kind of grandpa to spoil you rotten with toys that have small parts, load you up on sugar and release you to your parents. The Old Codger knows what he’s doing.

Sister Imperator- 2/10 OR 9/10 Granmama- Could go either way, and depends on who the father is. If you’re Copia’s: OH! She is the most doting, most loving grandmother you could ask for, and... Probably does the most child-rearing. If you’re any of the other Papa’s children... Well. Fend for yourself.

Aether- 8/10 Papa. Also would be clueless in some regards, but would be a good teacher. The sort of dad who wouldn’t chastise you for something bad, but let you experience consequences. Fall asleep on him and watch him die a little inside.

Sodo/Stompy/Dew/Fire- 9/10 Papa.  Okay, Stompy has anger issues, but if you want a protective Dad--- this is him. Would wear the dad backpack with pride and vitriol. Pretends to eat his child’s nose all the time. Loves to play and (lovingly) chuck his child into something soft. Crawl on him and be an adorable little hellion. He’ll be SO pleased.

Rain- 7/10 Papa. Overwhelmed!!! STRESSED!!! He has his high points as a parent, but he’s the sort of person who will panic if you’re upset. He’s much better with young children than he is babies, and as a teenager he’d do his best to encourage you. Will sing you songs, and rock you to sleep with music. Rough start, but over-all not a bad parent!

Mountain- 10/10 Papa. THE DADDEST GHOUL. Not mad with you hitting things, in fact I imagine he encourages you to express yourself through percussively hitting things. Maybe not the FONDEST of doing the day-to-day things, but no parent really is. Probably has a hard time sleeping with you in the crib, tbh, and would much rather you crash in bed or on the couch with him. I think, despite the fact he is a drummer, would be SUPER stoked if you got into choir or any kind of classical instrument. Not afraid to, also, lovingly chuck you into something soft, but has a better grasp of what is too much than Sodo. Way less prone to anger or passive-aggression than the others. Would be the MOST willing to accept a religious view outside of his own. May not be very comfortable if you go Christian, or... Even... Catholic (gulp), but would allow you to explore on your own terms. Even if you wind up leaving, he makes sure to let you know that you always have a home with him.

Cirrus- 8/10 Mama. I’m trying to find something zesty for the Ghoulettes as parents, but... Well. I can’t. I think they’d legit be good parents. Cirrus is 100% the kinda mom who will dye your hair crazy colors when school is off. Takes you school shopping during the height of summer. She also sits down and does all your school assignments with you. I do see her, however, signing you up for more musically inclined classes first. Not a big sports mom.

Cumulus- 10/10 Mama. Cirrus will lead you down the path of parentage-- CUMULUS IS GOING TO LEAD YOU DOWN THE PATH THAT ROCKS. Soccer mom, home room mom, and bakes really good cookies when you’re good at school. When you’re baby? When you’re baby she has your crib tricked out like it’s going on an episode of “pimp my ride”.

Sunshine- 2/10 Mama. Okay. Sunshine, I feel is too baby to be a mom. She is a big sister, and in that regard, oh, 8/10. Helps you with homework and gets into trouble with you, but yeah. Just don’t expect her to be particularly forthcoming with responsibilities.

COWBELL GHOUL- 9/10. Gives even Mountain a run for his money. Whereas Mountain is more of a chill dad, Cowbell is more structured and a natural teacher. You want to do ballet? Sure. He’s taking classes along side you. Want to go into sports? He studies up and tries to play with you. He has his preferences for how your life will wind up, but is going to make sure you’re prepared for the path that YOU chose, specifically, and the best way to guarantee that is to be good at it himself. A little overbearing at some times, but means well. Willll back off if you want your own personal identity.
