one thing i love about being trans is how the little things can brighten me up so much. i was playing shovel knight yesterday (really cool game btw you definitely should play) and they said "hey we have this thing called body swap" and i decided. hell yeah?!!! i get to trans everyone's gender!!!!???! using eyeliner is such a surreal experience for me as for the first time in my life i feel like i'm actually learning a skill. like, if i think about the main skills i have, sure, i have gotten better over the years. but have i noticed that? no, i was worse and now i'm better.

but with eyeliner? i actually observe myself getting better, i remember how it was when i tried to do it the first time (terrible) and how i proceeded to make it actually wearable. and fast forward to yesterday when on my right eye i made an absolutely perfect line (and then messed up the left one and had to mess the right one up a little to make it symmetrical :pp)

it might be due to the fact that i have only started to do them a few months, like, 3? ago, and that i don't do them often (which is a real shame since i look sooooo good in them) (what having conservative parents does to a girl 😔😔😔) (like seriously eyeliner is the single most affirming thing ever) but still. observing how i'm honing my skill has been a very cool experience

finding beauty in small things is such an amazing skill. like rn it's dark cuz it's 11 pm but the moon is like. have some sun. and it pierces the clouds filling them with light. and i'm just laying in my bed, watching clouds at night.

this is so fun too. i saw this one cloud and thought it looked like the baby of death 13 from jojo. manish boy was he called? then the cloud changed shape and it looked like toadette with her lil pigtails. and then, as my atmospheric friend began to rend itself beyond recognition and proceeded to drift away, i just stared blankly into other clouds.

and my god, were they beautiful.

so i was having a really bad day, just having some awful thoughts and doomscrolling unable to even get my laptop out to play some games at least.

and then, nearing the evening, i had to go to some places. i really didn't want to, but i reluctantly threw on a shirt, brushed my hair, and got out. i unlocked the door, walked to the elevator, and looked in it's mirror.

and i realized in that moment. what the fuck am i doing. girl. you are GORGEOUS. and you should NOT be treating a beauty like you like you currently treat.

i really want to read up on some mindfullness and selfcare now because damn, i am awesome after all and i deserve to feel good. and you do too. love yourself
