I’m heartbroken to write these words, but I just recently lost my father on April 11th. He had a very long battle with heart failure, and suffered two cardiac arrests that sent his body into shock. taylor I am so incredibly happy and excited to be listening to your version of speak now. i was 11 years old when i first listened to the original in 2010. i received the album for christmas, so i packed my cd player in my bag and listened to the entire album on the way to my grandmothers house. the snow was just barely falling as i stared out the car window and fell into the amazing world these songs created.

now here i am at 24, listening to your beautiful version of this wonderful album. it’s like i’m that bug eyed, innocent and curious 11 year old again being completely entranced by your voice and your talent. taylor, i am so incredibly proud and happy to have supported you for all these years.

i unfortunately didn’t get to see you on the eras tour, but i’ve watched every single video i see of your performances. thank you, taylor, for everything you do for your fans and for being you 💜 congratulations on this re-recording, with more to come.
