This is not at the end of the day a show about the failures of the healthcare system. It really is a character study of this one man. This one very flawed man.
āOne of the moments Iām most proud of on the show, because it was the bedrock that we built on to get us where we are now, was in Episode 5 of the first season. My original estimation of the character Walter White was that he was going to do this bad thing and feel bad about doing it. But ā he was going to do it strictly for his family. Heās going to cook this meth, make some money and feel dirty the whole time, but feel like he had no other choice. But then, I hadnāt thought it through quite a much as I should have, I suppose. I thought, well OK, this week, heāll make a lot of money and then at a certain point heāll have an amount of money. But then, I donāt know, the house will burn up or something and heāll lose all his money, and heāll have to do it all over again. But very quickly when you go down that path, you realize this canāt just become some crazy shaggy dog story, in which this guy is never really tested morally. His money just keeps getting carried off by crows to build a nest or something, and he has to start over from scratch. That would just be infuriating, nobody would watch that. So, one of my favorite moments. In Episode 5 we presented Walt purposely with this deus ex machina moment. An old friend comes into his life and says, āI heard you have cancer. Your wife told me. I feel terrible. I am a very rich man and Iām going to pay for your cancer treatment with no strings attached. Iām going to give you a wonderful job at my very wonderful company. And Iām going to do that strictly out of love for you.ā Walt has this deus ex machina offer that by any measure he should take. The guy is not in his right mind if he doesnāt take this. And then, at the end of the hour, he doesnāt take it. Instead, he goes off to cook more meth. That was one of my favorite moments. It wasnāt one of the flashiest moments, but it was the moment when I realized what this show could become and I realized why we were telling it. This is not at the end of the day a show about the failures of the healthcare system. It really is a character study of this one man. This one very flawed man. And it is the study of what drives him, because you donāt decide to cook crystal meth strictly for your family. I donāt care what anybody says. At a certain point, on some level, youāve got to be OK with it. And Walter White was OK with it on some levels. Not what he saw himself doing way back when he was in grad school. But, it was his only avenue of power. It was his only way to feel alive and important. And realizing that in this fourth episode was a highlight moment. It wasnāt one of the most flashy pyrotechnic moments, but it was definitely a highlight.ā

Genni Hutchinson: Saul and Skyler together are so much fun because he's⦠she's a little too smart for him. Michelle MacLaren: She also calls him out on everything, she doesn't fall for his bullshit at all. Genni Hutchinson: I think he's very much in love with her though. I think he's really impressed with her. (...) But I think she's also the thorn in his side.

Oh gee, I wonder who wrote the infamous antisemitic text The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. It's a complete mystery.

Iām sorry this reddit post is killing me. My guy the whole campaign was designed to be antisemitic. They wanted to deport Jews like they did other ethnic minorities. It was antisemitic from the very start, it didnāt just turn antisemitic it was the whole plan.

thanks for the comments and asks saying i'm being mean for very mildly saying i don't like when people make social decisions based on horoscopes.
your behavior has made me realize i should be "meaner": horoscopes are fake.
the position of planets and balls of gas did not in any way impact your personality or destiny. it has nothing to do with what kind of people you are compatible with, despite what an app or magazine told you.
i think sincere belief in horoscopes shows a concerning propensity to trust pseudoscience and a susceptibility to confirmation bias.
i'm pretty tired of having to tiptoe around this kind of thing and include disclaimers. if you genuinely think you shouldn't be friends with someone because of the date they came out of a uterus, you're being a clown.
#I once heard someone say the words 'I don't like [insert astrological sign here]. they're bad people.ā#how the fuck are you just blanket judging a bunch of humanity based on when they came out of their mum's cooch?#weirdo behaviour
