I feel same way you do. I'm seeing some stirring of Anti Chapel going on, and a lot of it seems to be coming from Spirk Shippers. I am a casual Spirk shipper myself, but the fact that non canon hetero characters are taking president over an actual queer canon character has me livid

Love Spirk, but don't stand on the neck of an actual queer characters to do so, and where is the ally ship on the fact the SNW hasn't actually allowed for Chapel to be queer openly, and threw her immediately into a hetero relationship? Where's the outrage? I love Chapel with Spock they cute, but I have been paying attention.

SHES BISEXUAL! A routine TOS character is canonically queer now! She is brilliant and shadows under people and wants to study strange odd things that she ends up pioneering because she’s brilliant and in a niche!

She has a much more logical and charged back story, she is driven by many things we don’t even know about yet can feel and sense because the writing and acting is amazing! Chapel is so much more now because of SNW and she’s emotionally guarded and fragile and not in a patronizing way, not in a sexist way, in a human, realistic way. And she has friends and she drinks and she studies and laughs and cries and so so much more
