#ILLUSTRATION - The artist Bryan Lewis Saunders creates self-portraits on differents drugs, and the results are insane ! “After experiencing drastic changes in my environment, I looked for other experiences that might profoundly affect my perception of the self. So I devised another experiment where everyday I took a different drug and drew myself under the influence. Within weeks I became lethargic and suffered mild brain damage. I am still conducting this experiment but over greater lapses of time. I only take drugs that are given to me.” l Via

INSTALLATION - This Brilliant Optical Illusion Makes You See A Portrait In A Pile Of Objects A spectacular example of forced perspective that just from the right angle makes you see a clear portrait in what actually is a pile of furniture and other household objects. The portrait is seen best inside of the frame that prevents us from distractions and the tell-tale cues of the reality. Also, it appears that a particular lens is inside of the frame that forms a more distinguished and fixed view. Unfortunately, the artist behind this mind-boggling art piece are left unknown. At least we can recognize that the man in the portrait is Ferdinand Cheval, a French postman, most famous for spending 33 years building Le Palais Idéal – his soon to be mausoleum. l Artwork by Bernard Pras l Via

Scared
I've been a photographer for a little over a year and a half now, taking photos of everything from award ceremonies to memorial ceremonies, golf games to amphibious military exercises. I've gotten better at my work, not by much but still I'm improving. But I still don't know if this is meant for me. This Art. This Work. Can I do something with this that will keep my life worth living and the people I care for happy and well? I don't know. I still don't know. And time is running out.
#personal#thoughts#work#photography#photographer#scared of the future#I need to get better at everything#how can I do that when there is only room for one thing at a time?
