A Missouri man is accusing CBD American Shaman of selling products marketed as "THC free" when it actually has THC. The man, who was using CBD American Shaman's full-spectrum CBD oil, lost his job after a failed drug test. The man got many assurances from the CBD store that their products WILL NOT trigger a failed drug test. CBD American Shaman was also sued when a plaintiff lab test showed lead, nickel, copper, yeast, and mold. As a consumer, this is why we need to hold CBD companies accountable. On May 28th, the FDA has submitted a document titled "Cannabis and Cannabis-Derived Compounds: Quality Considerations for Clinical Research; Draft Guidance for Industry; Availability" to the Office of Management and Budget. The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) serves the President of the United States in overseeing the implementation of his vision across the Executive Branch. The OMB prepares the President's budget proposal to Congress and supervises the administration of the executive branch agencies. The OMB evaluates the effectiveness of agency programs, policies, and procedures to assess competing funding demands among agencies and set funding priorities. According to the FDA, the Office of Management (OM) provides exceptional customer service, guidance, and education on resource and administrative management activities to protect human and animal health. Recent revisions made to the Student Code of Conduct for Aiken County's public schools includes a new item on the list of illicit substances: CBD oils and products. On Thursday, May 28, physicians in West Virginia can register with the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources so that they can prescribe medical cannabis to patients in the state. Physicians can submit the request through the Bureau of Public Health’s Office of Medical Cannabis. Interested physicians must take a four-hour education course online at www.medcanwv.org in addition to their application. The application period is open indefinitely and there is no limit to physician participation. In an attempt to terminate a loophole in Texas HB 1325 bill, a hearing was held in December where new rules were proposed to ban the consumption of smokable hemp. The new rules define “smoking” as “burning or igniting a substance and inhaling the smoke or heating a substance and inhaling the resulting vapor or aerosol.” By doing so Texas “accidentally” banned vaping. Biota Biosciences is back in the news. Last month they received a warning letter from the FDA for illegally marketing their CBD products, CBD Injectables, with claims that they can treat medical conditions such as opioid addiction.
