In class we talked a little about this in class and how people believe that Cinco De Mayo is the true Mexican independence day. It is not, this day has just been used for people to excuse themselves to drink and over do it, This is something that I have always kind of found offensive because this day of celebration is advertised but not as much as our actual Independence day.
