MEET THE TEAMS: TEAM EIGHT

YUUHEI KURENAI

The only child of Yuuhi Shinku and Takenada Honoka; Kurenai is a new jōnin, a veteran of the Third Ninja War, and one of the strongest genjutsu users in Konoha. Team Eight is her first team and she's thrilled with the prospect of teaching young ninja.

HYŪGA HINATA

The oldest child of Hyūga Hiashi and Hyūga Hiyomi and the older sister of Hyūga Hanabi; Hinata is a shy girl who greatly admires Uzumaki Naruto. This wallflower desires to be like her hero, Naruto.

ABURAME SHINO

The youngest child of Aburame Shibi and Aburame Kiku and the younger adopted brother of Aburame Torune; Shino is a loner whose only friends are his Kikaichū. The boy would love discover a new species of Kikaichū.

AKIMICHI CHŌJI

The only child of Akimichi Chōza and Satomi; Chōji is the leader of this generation of InoShikaChō and bewildered to find himself not on an InoShikaChō team. This food lover is determined to be the best leader his clan has ever seen.

HATAKE KAKASHI

The only child of Hatake Sakumo and Niwa Tsubaki; Kakashi is a prodigy, a veteran of the Third Ninja War, and a former ANBU Captain under the code name Hound. Team Seven is the first team the shinobi has ever passed and he dreads what this iteration of Team Seven will get up to.

UCHIHA SASUKE

The youngest son of Uchiha Fugaku and Uchiha Mikoto and the younger brother of Uchiha Itachi; Sasuke is the survivor of the Uchiha Massacre that was perpetrated by his older brother, Itachi. The boy's ambition is to avenge his clan, no matter the cost.

UZUMAKI NARUTO

The only child of Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina; Naruto is the outcast of Konoha and the Jinchuriki for the Kyuubi. This wild child dreams of becoming Hokage and gaining the villagers' respect.

SHIMURA TAKEKO

The only child of Shimura Masanari and Chiyome and the granddaughter of Elder Shimura Danzo; Takeko is the reincarnation of a woman from another world and fights tooth and nail against her grandfather's ambitions. The girl hopes to one day destroy the ROOT program her grandfather created and bring him to justice.

MITARASHI ANKO

The only child of Mitarashi Goma and Riko; Anko is the only known apprentice of the Sannin Orochimaru, a veteran of the Third Ninja War, and a member of ANBU under the code name Otter. Team Six is the first time she's been offered a team and the kunoichi is excited to see what comes for her team.

HARUNO SAKURA

The only child of Haruno Kizashi and Fujioka Mebuki; Sakura is a former fangirl struggling to catch up with her teammates. The girl dreams of marrying Uchiha Sasuke.

INUZUKA KIBA

The youngest child of Inuzuka Tsume and an unknown father and the younger brother of Inuzuka Hana; Kiba is a member of the Inuzuka Clan and partnered with Akamaru. This boy hopes to one day be Hokage.

NARA SHIKAYO

The oldest child of Nara Shikaku and Yoshino and the older sister to Nara Shikamaru; Shikayo is the reincarnation of a woman from another world with no plans to change this too much. This uncharacteristically motivated Nara would like to be a diplomat.

The classroom is rapidly emptying as each shinobi hopeful takes turns for the last part of the Graduation Exam. Takeko ruthlessly squashes the urge to fidget as she waits her turn. Grandfather's voice in her head criticizing her for her inability to sit still. She shoves his voice aside to think of the previous tests she's already taken. The written and physical tests were a breeze to get through; for all that she purposely flubbed some of her answers. If she wants canon to go how it's supposed to then she can't be the Rookie of the Year or Kunoichi of the Year. Being average would be the best. Just… hopefully she'll get on a Genin Team. She doesn't want to fall back on her Grandfather's thinly veiled threat to make sure she can continue to be a shinobi. No grandchild of his would ever be placed in the Genin Corps. "Next! Shimura Takeko!"

Neither of them expected reincarnation to be what happens after you die, nor did they expect to end up in a manga. But the real twist in this whole next-life business? They're not alone.

UZUMAKI NARUTO— Jinchūriki of Kurama, Fūinjutsu and Trap apprentice, and Ninjutsu powerhouse. UCHIHA SASUKE— The Last Loyal Uchiha, Sharingan Holder, and Kenjutsu user. HATAKE KAKASHI— The Last Hatake, son of the White Fang, Kakashi of the Sharingan, and prodigy. INUZUKA KIBA— Heir of the Inuzuka Clan, partners with Akamaru, and brawler. HARUNO SAKURA— Former fangirl, Taijutsu and Iryōninjutsu prodigy, and working to catch up. MITARASHI ANKO— Former apprentice to Orochimaru, Snake Summoner, Poison Mistress, and Interrogation Specialist.

SNIPPET

The weight of the forehead protector is odd. Takeko doesn't know what to do with it, even as she's watched most everyone else in the class adjust it around their heads and necks. The Nara kids have all chosen to not do that, slinging them around their torso, arms, or waist. Nara Shikayo is pulling on her twin's cheek and bullying him into sitting upright enough to let her tie the cloth tighter.  "Since when did you care, Kayo-nee," he's complaining and the girl scoffs, dragging him upright.  "Since you and Shikaba decided to get dressed in the dark, otouto," she snaps back, tying the knot in place. "Now hush, you can go back to sleep now, Iruka-sensei isn't going to be in for a while." Nara-kun grumbles indistinctly, lying his head back down on his crossed arms and promptly closing his eyes. She suspects he isn't actually going to sleep. The Nara has referenced too many conversations he's been apparently asleep during for her to believe it anymore. Biting her lip briefly, Takeko eyes the doorway worriedly. Uzumaki-kun didn't pass the Graduation Exam, but the Village did go on lockdown that night for his theft of the Forbidden Scroll. What happens if Iruka-sensei doesn't pass him anyway?

i've started therapy finally! and i'm finally medicated for my anxiety -we're still working on getting the dosage right - AND i'm finally getting my adhd diagnosis! i have two different therapists, one is a counselor to help me with my grief and the other is for the adhd diagnosis.

therapy is interesting tbh and i'm learning a lot. turns out im a lot more traumatized than i thought! who knew!

anyway, i'm gonna be rambling about my therapy journey here so if you don't to see it i completely understand! you can block the tag mine: cero does therapy so you don't have to see it.
