Here’s another bust I did of a character for a campaign. He’s a Feylost Ranger who helped the party with navigation for a couple sessions.

I’ve noticed that guide characters can be really helpful in some campaigns, especially shorter ones or with more bizarre landscapes.

Another dnd character I’ve made. She’s an assistant at an apothecary and a wild magic sorcerer.

The character’s lore was a lot of fun to write, even if in the actual campaign I wasn’t able to play her out as much as I wanted. There’s a couple other characters I’ve drawn for this campaign which I’ll be posting.

The BBEG of the campaign I’ve done the paintings for was a cleric/runecaster multiclass, who was devoted to Tiamat. This was for the final battle, where the BBEG was trying to summon Tiamat. Honestly this final battle was really fun, if incredibly messy. Ended up having 13 different things in the fight, and almost half the party joined the BBEG.

And the last of the paintings!

This one was more rushed than the others, since I only had 1.5 hours to make it. It’s of a cleric of Savras the party had to help in order to get guidance. The number of eyes in the background is actually the same as the number of people that played in the campaign as I wanted there to be one for all of them.

Getting to write and DM this campaign was a lot of fun, and there’s more art I’ve done for various characters in this campaign which I’ll probably be sharing soon.

The first painting I did for the campaign I wrote was of a homebrewed god I’d made. The god is partially based on an existing dnd god in the giant pantheon, but meshed with parts of what I’d written for the campaign. I specifically wanted a rune god for the campaign, which is a type of magic almost solely used by giants, which I did a fair bit of research into for this campaign.

DnD rune magic was honestly really fun to learn about, and if you like dnd but haven’t looked into it much it’s really interesting to use for a character I think. There’s some backgrounds, subclasses, and an archived class that all have rune magic!

I did a group of paintings a while ago for a campaign that I wrote and dungeon mastered for some people. This is one I did of a NPC that the players rescued near the end of the campaign.

I also have a digital sketch I did for the painting, the design changed up a fair bit since it for the final painting.

WIP Wednesday

Ok, maybe I missed the deadline by a couple minutes, but in my defense, I was scrolling through things to see what I had already shared (I haven't had a chance to write anything new) BUT. I think I found it - more of the Young River!fic but it's expanded slightly to include Catherine, because, assuming I did my math right, Catherine would've just started working at Slough House with Lamb right around the time that River comes to live with his grandfather.

Ahem.

Anyway.

“You’re worse than the roaches, Cartwright - how did you even get in here? Who let you in here?” One of these days, that boy was going to turn up at some place that actually made sense, but Lamb doubted it was any time in the near future. But Christ on a bicycle, he knew his Horses were slow, but he didn’t think they were so slow as to let a child in the front door, no matter what he told them.

River was sitting cross legged on one of the empty desks, peering through one of the folders marked ‘DESTROY’ in bright red stamped letters across the front, delicately sipping from a broken and chipped mug that had seen better days. “Granddad sent me here to punish you,” he said, without looking up. Instead, he put his mug down, pulling his knees up closer to his face so he could prop the folder closer as he squinted at something on the page. “What does ‘absquatulate’ mean?”

“It’s a deeply silly word meaning to abscond with something,” Catherine answered as she sidestepped around Lamb. “Like I’m about to do with that file, which I told you to leave alone.”

“It can’t be that silly if it’s in an MI5 document,” River argued, still squinting at the page. “How are you supposed to be able to read this? The writing is terrible.”

Catherine peered over the boy’s shoulder, pretending to study the document seriously for a moment. “It says ‘Listen to Catherine and put it in the shredder like she asked you to’.”

River laughed at that, his blonde hair that was getting redder by the day falling in front of his face before Catherine absently pushed it back, before pulling the folder from his hands, exchanging it for a plate with an edible looking sandwich that Lamb suspected was from her own packed lunch.

It was so…weirdly domestic that Lamb almost physically recoiled, but he wasn’t sure why, and did what he always did when he didn’t feel like examining his own self too closely. “What the…Standish, you can’t feed it, then we’ll never get rid of him!”

Catherine scowled at him. “He’s a boy, not an it, Jackson.”

“You don’t know him like I do,” Lamb pointed out. “I’ve been trying to get rid of this one for years - like a bad penny, that one.”

Forgot to introduce my (resist) durge as well. I'm about halfway through her playthrough.

Blanche tries her hardest to be as good as she can be. She is a very chivalrous knight, and takes her oath and duties very seriously. She can seem a little cold and detached, as she tries not to let her emotions show too much, but inside she's extremely anxious and emotional. She'll put on a brave face all day then go home and cry for an hour. She's quite used to being seen as intimidating and fearsome, and she will sometimes use that to her advantage against her enemies, but mostly she wants to be seen as kind, brave, and helpful.

My dnd character Zephyr, from a campaign I made with a friend of mine about exploring an ancient’s wizards ruins. They’re an air genasi lorehold wizard, and had a lot of fun with turning the ruins statues into companions. I gave them the feylost background, hence the eyes.

My friend @healthydoseofhedonism and I have started planning a Slow Horses DND AU/campaign and some highlights so far are:

-Half-Elf Wizard Spider with TWO HIT POINTS

-Gnome Artificer Roddy with homunculi made of old pizza boxes

-Goblin Rogue Lamb who takes bubble baths in his sink

-Halfling Min/Dragonborn Louisa

-Minus 3 Charisma River

-The Park being primarily composed of Elves and Orcs

Defo gonna post a LOT more about it in future cause we have come up with delicious homebrew Tiefling lore for River mwhehehe. Also may share their character sheets cause Spider's is fucking hilarious

I went from doodling them in cowboy hats to creating a whole au with lore.

Some background, they all got napped by the flayers and loaded into train carts to be experimented on. So i gave the Flayers plague doctor masks for funsies. But yeah they’re screwed.)
