I got around to drawing my newest dnd character Ira! This campaign is set in the wild west with gods from the Greek and Egyptian pantheons very much present and interfering with the world, and as my girl worships Artemis I decided I wanted to try my hand at drawing them in the Hades art style, and I think it turned out really well!

The really intense shading was really fun to do and i think I’ll be trying it again in the future with other art pieces. I’m learning more that shading can be really fun if you go and do wild crazy things with it like this, so slowly slowly I’m enjoying shading my pieces a lot more :D

This was my 9th and last Art Fight attack, featuring a character belonging to @q-unari <3

This was sort of revenge, for a mass attack he’d included Moxie in during the Bloom/Wither Art Fight (2022), it just took a long time to get there lol

But I had lots of fun this year, I got to draw some awesome characters and I somehow managed to draw way more attacks than I was expecting! And as of writing this post the final results haven’t been announced, but here’s to hoping Team Stardust wins! ^^

Art Fight attack number 8 and for the last couple of attacks I did I stuck with headshots and sketches, just to make sure I got them done in time and wasn’t rushing! This cool character belongs to @sunnescribbles and was revenge for an awesome mass attack they did including Luna! :D

This was my 7th art fight attack for the year, featuring a lovely character belonging to artgl_asses in revenge for a drawing he did of Luna!

I was a little rushed in trying to get this one done, so the pose/anatomy isn’t great and I didn’t bother shading, but I’m still happy with parts of it and I’m glad I got something done! :)

Art Fight attack number 3! This is @besned’s character and this is a revenge attack for an amazing drawing they did of Ralora!

I’ve been insanely motivated for art fight this year, and I know it’s still only in the first week but I’m hoping I’ll be able to keep this motivation even when I’m back at work!

WIP time...

I had hoped to get more progress done on this more quickly lol, but any progress is good progress. It's the second tarot card I'm working on, featuring Moxie and her ex, Valeria. Most of the reason that I'm stumped right now is cause I'm not sure what kind of clothes to give either of them, and then I need to start work on the background, which aside from the border, I've no idea what to put for that either lol.

Also looking at it, I'm not entirely happy with Moxie's horn, but maybe my opinions will change when I finally get around to giving her hair :) tbh I'm still not fully happy with the face entirely, but I think that's just because I never draw faces from this angle, so it's gonna be a struggle for me to get it right.

But! I do want to share the wip as it stands right now, partly to give myself a boost of motivation to continue with it, and also partly because aside from the couple of things I've mentioned, I'm happy with how it's turning out, and I'm really happy with how the pose looks too :D

XI - Justice Featuring: Alnuthea, Loxodon Paladin

I love this girl sm and I'm really happy with how this first card has turned out. I think there are some things I could have probably improved, but most of them are small details and there comes a point where I know if I don't stop I'll keep messing with it forever.

I had a lot of advice from my friends about various things and they put up with so so many screenshots of wips sent to them, but I'm glad I got there in the end!

Here's a (somewhat) finished sketch for that project I mentioned in my last post. And what is the project? Tarot cards (major arcana only) of my OCs and D&D characters in a somewhat art deco style.

And first in the lineup is my longest surviving D&D character, my paladin Loxodon, Alnuthea. I love this girl so much and it was a lot of fun drawing this (and somewhat updating her design slightly)

While I do have enough characters of my own to draw a complete set, some characters either aren't my faves or didn't really fit with the cards that were left. So I will be drawing a couple of my friends D&D characters too to fill in those gaps, or because their characters are partners of my own characters. For example, the judgement card will have a D&D character belonging to the same game as Alnuthea, but who is played by someone else, and in game our two characters are dating <3 (credit will be given when I get around to those characters)

But I'm hoping to at least get the lineart finished on this soon, even if the flats and shading take a little longer!

Hi hello it’s me, I’ve returned from the depths with an offering of art. As somewhat predictable it’s art of my girl Moxie because apparently I can’t get enough of drawing this girl, even if the drawings are few and far between.

I actually dew this mostly as a way to get used to drawing on a new ipad I treated myself to over crimmas and I gotta say I’m enjoying it so far. It’s been nice being able to draw bundled up in bed all cosy when it’s cold af in my flat.

In other news completely unrelated to this drawing, I’m finally starting work on a p big art project, and I’m hoping I’ll be able to keep up motivation for it, so expect things to be posted here at some point. I’m getting better at pacing myself with my art, and returning to work on pieces after a break of a couple of days, rather than rushing to try and get them done in one sitting, so I’m hoping that’ll help either this upcoming project too. So, watch this space!!!
