why did you go off the social media for 10 days?? just curious 👀 (PLEASE GIVE SOME TIPS TOO TO STAY AWAY FROM SOCIAL MEDIA LIKE YOU DID DESPITE LOUIS RELEASING HIS LIVE ALBUM ETC ETC, I AM BEGGING YOU 😭😭 I HAVE EXAMS COMING UP, YET I CAN'T STAY AWAY FROM SOCIAL MEDIA ESP. TUMBLR)

Hi Anom Nom!!! Soooo I was off at a meditation retreat (which I honestly recommend to EVERYONE. It’s called Vipassana and it’s all over the world and you don’t even have to pay anything to go there, just donation at the end of it as a way of sponsoring the next student cuz they don’t charge anyone) and we’re not allowed to use our phones for the duration of this course. Or talk to anyone except the teacher or other servers who volunteer to help you (yeah reach out to me for more info I’ll be so fucking thrilled to tell you more about it cuz it literally changed my life). So I just wanted to tell people I’ll be off even though it’s not like anyone would notice lol. But yeah XD

As for the adviceeeee you’re really asking the wrong person lol I reach for my phone for every small thing in every 10-20 seconds. However, when I REALLY need to get something done:

1. I delete all the distraction apps so that my phone is boring without them.

2. It helps to switch it off and throw it in a corner where you can’t easily see it if you live alone/give it to someone you live with and ask them to keep it far away from you until you’re done with the task.

So yeah Anom Nom, I really had no way of using my phone which is the only way I got off social media 😂 my control has improved, but it’s yet to be tested. I also remind myself that phones and shit are all things meant to make you only consume and be an addict to consumption and fully dependent on capitalism (fuck capitalism) so to spite those companies it’s easier to not use your phone and let them control you.

Anom Nom, I’m going on a 10-day retreat where I will have 0 access to my phone and he decides to release a puzzle HOURS before I lose contact with the world.
