He/him. This is a place for me to put knowledge on witchcraft and other spiritual things until I can afford to replace my nice leather bound grimoire. It’ll probably mostly be practices I have, some of my beliefs, spells, and observations about how the universe works.

Witch Tip: Check your Spells
This is the easiest but mostly overlooked element of Magic101: if something seems off with your magic that normally works very well, go and check on your spell.
Maybe something is...off. Maybe your cat knocked over your altar or something in your jar molded. Maybe that last wind storm knocked a tree branch down which scratched out a part of the sigil at the edge of your property.
This could have happened for mundane or magical reasons. Discovering that is up to you.
But check first.
It could be something as simple as your partner changing the sheets on the bed and forgetting to put your dream pouch back into the inner pillowcase (as happened to me last week).

Spells
Table of contents: https://www.tumblr.com/chaoswitchgrimoire/731084024007753728/table-of-contents-intro
A quick note: all “love” magick listed is for the express purpose of SELF love, not the love of others. Love magick can be incredibly volatile, and in most cases, the results aren’t even what what the caster (or the person requesting the spell, if it’s not for the caster themselves) truely wants. The results of love magick are usually PERMANENT as well. It is not worth it. I do not practice any form of love magick, aside from promoting healing and self love, which I highly recommend anyone wanting love spells try first before attempting to force love with magick.
Simmer pots/“potions”
(Note: not meant to be ingested, but I guess they could be as long as the ingredients are potable, if you’re brave enough)
For each pot, start with boiling water, then reduce to a simmer and add ingredients one by one. Most simmer pots can be kept for up to a week at a time before being disposed of, as long as water is added when it gets low. The purpose is for the steam to fill a space with your intent, so after it is made, the pot can be left to work it’s magick. Be sure to check on it regularly to prevent potential fires and add water as needed. Substitutions for ingredients will do (ie: essential oils to replace fresh fruit in a pinch) as long as the intent is still there. Sea salt can also be added to any simmer pot for a bit of added protection.
Orange, rosemary, cinnamon, cloves, and basil. This fills a space with energies to promote protection of a space, peace, joy, and creativity. In colder months, it can also help with seasonal depression.
Apple, cloves, and cinnamon. This is a good protective spell, and also smells quite nice.
Lavender, chamomile, basil, and bay leaves. This spell is a relatively lighter scent meant to calm and encourage wisdom and insight.
Spell Jars
For each of these, start with a small, empty jar that has been cleansed with both water and incense. Add ingredients as listed. All of the following instruct to seal the spell with wax, but this step is optional if a spell is not meant to be permanent.
SLEEP: Fill jar with two sticks of cinnamon (or just add ground cinnamon if jar is smaller), two mint leaves, chamomile petals or flowers, lavender, and top the jar off with amethyst water. Close the jar and seal it with black and purple wax.
REALITY SHIFTING: Add rosemary ashes to protect; chamomile and/or lavender to calm; a bay leaf with your intention or an affirmation written on it to add intent, wisdom, and insight; parsley for insight, wisdom, and protection; and top it off with amethyst water to wash away fears. Close the jar and seal it with purple wax.

Four Elements
The four elements are associated with many different things in witchcraft. The elements play a role in many aspects of witchcraft, spanning spells, tarot, zodiacs, and even dedicated altars.
Grimoire table of contents: https://www.tumblr.com/chaoswitchgrimoire/731084024007753728/table-of-contents-intro
Everyone knows what the four elements are. It can be harder to see their influences in daily life though.
Air-North-Swords
Air represents logic, intelligence, communication, and and ideas. This element is represented in tarot by the sword suit, cutting to the truth of the matters and viewing things objectively. Air is commonly represented with incense.
Earth-East-Pentacles
Earth is associated with many different things, spanning from the planet itself to structure and stability and even finances. Earth can be represented with most plants and crystals in general, although individual crystals each have their own elements that they are associated with. In tarot, Earth is represented by the pentacle suit, where pentacles are treated as coins. Some decks will even simply call it the coin suit.
Fire-South-Wands
Fire is a very active element, representing action, drive, passion, and ambition. Fire is commonly represented through matches, candles, lighters, and really anything associated with burning or an open flame. In tarot, Fire is represented by the wands suit.
Water-West-Cups
Water is indicative of emotions, relationships, and intuition. The moon is heavily associated with water, as are many healing crystals like rose quartz. Water is commonly represented by cups, are it is in tarot, with the element itself, or even with fish or other aquatic life.

Basic Workings of the Universe
This is my beliefs and understanding of how the universe works.
Grimoire table of contents: https://www.tumblr.com/chaoswitchgrimoire/731083908163207168/a-chaos-witchs-grimoire
Our universe and our reality are essentially one giant hologram. Human minds and bodies are themselves, part of the simulation. The only part of a human that is truly “real” is their soul, or “consciousness.”
Humanity as a species is a deity being formed. Each human soul is a piece of this deity. Each soul undergoes multiple simulations, multiple lives, in order to grow and refine themselves, then once the soul has been perfected by completing all of its lessons, it rejoins the deity it is a piece of.

I lost my grimoire, and decided to remake it from scratch. I can’t afford a new leather bound notebook right now, so I figured tumblr was as good a place to compile random information as any. This blog is mostly for me, but anyone can feel free to read it, whether it’s for witchcraft purposes, just learning about witchcraft, inspiration, or even just reading it like you would a fantasy novel lol. I don’t care who reads or follows, just be respectful of beliefs and be a kind human. I won’t be posting my shadow work to this blog, since that’s deeply personal, but my digital grimoire will be a collection of my own beliefs, practices, spells, and observations. If I use the wrong tags, just let me know and I’ll change them.
Info about me for context, I suppose:
I am a chaos witch (duh). I’ve been practicing witchcraft since late 2021. I am Pagan (VERY new to it tho, so still figuring it out). I am a middle worker (someone who works with angels and guides to learn and do good as well working with your inner child or “shadow” in order to heal), but at the moment I’m mostly focusing on shadow work. My practice spans just about everywhere in my house, and I am neurodivergent so my practice is all over the place and very sporadic. I’m also a pyromaniac, so I burn a lot of candles and incense. I might even make a post dedicated to some of the incense I use and what I use it for.
That’s it for my little intro, I think. I’m gonna have a sort of post masterlist/table of contents to help keep myself organized here:
