morbidreveler:
Jaskier struggled to keep his balance as he made his way across the sand, parallel to the water. Why anyone would desire the ocean breeze in the middle of WINTER was beyond him, and yet various shapes moved about in the distance. Perhaps this was considered warm to some of those new to the mortal realm. Pulling his coat tighter around himself, Jaskier glanced back down at the footprints he’d been following and kept his eyes down until they eventually disappeared right into the water. Damn it. He looked up and down the shoreline in an attempt to find the rest of the trail, but alas.
He did manage to spot someone else with their eyes to the ground though, which sparked hope and he quickened his pace until the stranger was close, “You don’t, I mean, you haven’t seen a cat around here have you? I’ve been looking after half of the town’s strays, and with it being winter, they need a little extra attention, you know? Well one’s been missing, and I followed the footprints, and now….” Finally pausing to take a breath, a seemingly insane, but now completely plausible thought occurred to him, “And now I realize perhaps it wasn’t a cat after all. A CAT cat, I mean. But in the water?” Never stopping to consider whether the stranger even cared about his questions, Jaskier gestured wildly at the ocean, with a look of complete disbelief, “Come on! Even a non-cat cat wouldn’t be swimming in this, would they?”
Tumblr media
.
The spill of words registered briefly. It was the intense energy that entered their immediate facility that was which drew their gaze off the stones and onto their face. Curious. Handsome. Alluring. What were they talking about? What was it about their presence that alluded to them having the answers? A sly grin spread quickly on their lips, quirked upward in amusement as this person continue to ramble on and present a case to their worrying thoughts. A question Khaos was honestly not sure warranted an answer.
Cute. Khaos inhaled lightly, binding lightly to the pleasant thrum of energy the other brought over.
“A cat in the water...” Khaos commented if only to offer some level of agreement. “It is doubtful tracks would lead there; the wind is particularly strong today, so maybe said prints were mistaken?” An offering and hopeful success in the illusion they understood anything the other was asking. A chuckle escaped, their eyes illuminated almost fondly. “I mean, have you ever submerged in freezing water before? It can be exhilarating and awaken the senses. Do you want to look there just in case?”

cadavre-diadem:
the chilly air settled into bones like a playful hound nipping at the heel though one was an annoyance while the other a beloved enclosure, snowflakes gliding down from the sky to land on the earth — or the tongue since the mage decided to indulge such childish behavior for a short moment as she walked — tugged insistently at her wistful memories like a child at their mothers’ skirt to procure attention. something of which she titled bitter and shoved away in favor of the upkeep towards halfward lightened mood. however with the many different beings stuffed in a metaphorical jar, the label written across it in a gentle script. concord. agrafena doubted how long peace would gaze at them lovingly, if this new yet old home would be as welcoming.
“ do you know what larimar means? “ she hadn’t meant to approach them from behind, or had she, knew the peril of such impolite action as not introducing oneself first before making sudden inquires and yet did so anyway, eyes down turning only afterwards as if in a sudden near mock puppet show of apology.
then back upon the stone in grip, like caught in fascination or disgust.
“ rather lovely it is, I’m sure you have a wonderful collection to add it to. “
Tumblr media
.
Larimar. The word bounced around in their ancient mind, searching for wisdom towards it. Khaos didn’t pretend to know everything; it wasn’t entirely their role in the universe to allow for it. Their kin could be arrogant bastards with information; eternity came with distortion to proper emotions other species found they should contain. As if the celestials could be compared to anything else in existence. The tone in their voice alluded the stone in their hand was likely this word, and though Khaos hadn’t known its name, a bubble of pleasure warmed in their center like the birth of a new star.
“I’m perpetually drawn to such things,” Khaos’ voice was low in tone, almost taken with any wind that ran through the shores. The stone gently shined more in their hand, the longer they held it. The lines of blue sparkled like the cosmos imprisoned along the fissures. Energy had a way of shifting around Khaos, sometimes a slow descent; other times, it could spoil or change into the opposite. They turned only their head, a tilt towards the other, the glint in their eyes always energetic and hinting to the unknown.
Tumblr media
“I have a few, but I don’t take the time to learn names. Are you familiar with this area?” they inquired, “it feels different than others I have found.”

he can see the glint in their eyes. they are thinking. and thinking is a dangerous thing for khaos. still, it’s amusing to death, corners of his lips curling up into a knowing smile. “ if you are looking to stir trouble, you might want to wait until the harvest starts. be more fun then, don’t you think ? ” he was all for supporting them, if only to keep them from messing up his bookshop ( the one thing he took most pride in ).
Tumblr media
“ i am curious. i hear saint lucian will be stepping down. who do you think will be next ? ” as if having a sovereign mattered to him or khaos. the laws of the high council did not pertain to them – but it was always fun to watch.
-
The chuckle that leaves Khaos is overly fond when Thanatos alludes to feeding into their desires. The confirmation alone brought a chill down their spine. It ached against this limiting vessel in want to act of such things immediately. However, they wouldn't cause anything damaging here; waiting would be better, as stated.
Tumblr media
"So many times in history-- I simply watch-- you understand, of course. Lives bound to these types of moments are incredibly impactful to those involved. I can't help but want to know who it will affect the most so I can torment them properly when the time comes."
Merlin's face swirls into their mind's eye. The perpetually disheartened expression quickly disappears before it settles to the front of their thoughts. "I should've told you, it's me." A bright, sarcastic laugh immediately peels out of them. They stretch their limbs up and above their head, scratching the crown of hair cropped short as they wandered around without any sense of reason. "I kid, of course, Thanatos, old friend-- I have no idea. Tell me. Have you heard any chatter on smaller gods disappearing in your travels?"

Closed Starter for Merlin; @labyrinthed Location: Blightbird, Merlin’s House Timeline: Before the Harvest
They didn’t remember much. Not out of choice, but in that Khaos was a being that connected to forever. They didn’t think it possible to retain memories when new ones were so easily given. However, there were a few souls that existed, and moments that were too enjoyable to forget. Lucky for those people, such a being as unremorseful as Khaos would take the time out of forever to see them.
It was quite the feat that the invitation managed to lure them here. The only reason being Khaos happened to be in Marbrooke for the last decade or so and caught onto it. There was one person whom had to be seen, perhaps because Khaos wondered if they are the reason they are being asked to stay longer than desired. They appeared on the front stoop of a well hidden house, charming in it’s own unique way. The sun was rising soon, the edge of it on the horizon painting the sky already in its pastel hues.
Tumblr media
They sat down on the step, waiting and watching the sun rise up, knowing eventually the other would stumble upon them.
Quite literally-- Khaos could only hope.

Out of the Darkness;~Flashback
tw death, violence location: marbrooke
The sand wedged between their toes as they wiggled them, coarse textures to send nerves pleasantly twitching. Gentle white waves lap against the rocky shores, their sounds amplified in such a hollow, open space, despite footsteps behind them threatening to ruin the tranquility. The darkness waned of light grows intense, consuming-- so familiar and home. Khaos' eyes drift lazily upward to a place in the sky that didn't use to be so dim. The softest frowns mar their features as they pull their gaze away from the endless void of space. Clouds move in to shroud the specs of lights further.
This place, Marbrooke, creates a deep longing within Khaos, the opposite tug of their instinctual creation. It's needed to balance. To make the moments of fun, manipulation to these people with violence, chaos, fun-- so, so sweet.
A howl. A smile stretches. They turn around
"Guests." Their voice is calm and yet oppressing, controlled against anticipation coiling in his gut.
Lights burst to life as various torches strike to flame. One at a time, the circle of stones on the sands flash into view, bringing a dozen bodies. Cataloging Khaos is a mystery to most, deep waters that few wade in, some whisper they are too unpredictable, the kind that is a bit too dangerous to bother with less you want to unwind and burn. Others want to experience the raw energy they bring out in people. Khaos' eyes are electric even with kind gestures and a wide, youthful smile. Those here know only one thing will come of this night, and they are ready.
They lick their lips, a mild turn of their head, and runs their thumb along the edge of their chin. "It's going to rain," their voice is more resonant; an ache runs through him. Yearning amplifies like a coil of copper, suddenly taking in the energy within in the space. Khaos hums and walks forward. "I'd say we up the bets. Beat the rain..." they pause for effect. "I'll double the winnings myself."
It's instant—the roar from a wolf and a masculine throat, the air shifted from the strike—the war cry from another as they tackle one another to the ground. Khaos' chest rises subtly, inhaling through their nose as the crack of a bone follows a mighty roar.
"Always watching you are," Khaos said seemingly to themselves, but the ears of one woman near them perked. "What would it take, hmm?" Their mouth watered as a weapon pulled out, and a knife pushed into the laid out person on the ground. Their attempt to get away from the attacker fueled the energy in the space. Khaos inhaled. "Could you even handle it?" they asked their friend.
Their eyes lift and stare at her, challenging without a twitch of a muscle.
"You always want this to dissolve, boss," reprimanded.
"I want to see you fight tonight," Khaos sits down upon the sands, stretched out, and finds their gaze back on the now cloud-covered sky.
"Are you growing bored? It's dangerous," she says, cracking her knuckles. "The rain is coming already; you knew they would fail."
Of course, they did. The sky was a place they knew well: the endless void, the comforting simplicity of it. A drop of water struck their cheek, and another soon followed. The rain came immediately, a downpour in freezing temperatures.
Blood scented. The cheers' faded into white noise, and the chaotic energy of the brutal battle dissipated in their ears, leaving the echoes of water drops hitting the ground to replace them. Their head tilted back, thin shirt soaking through.
Something sharp cut across their neck and it wasn't close to killing, but enough to surprise. Their companion had them already in a headlock. A line of blood came down their skin, watered down from the rain, and stained the collar. Khaos sat up, leaning forward like a clipped marionette. The dark energy around them dimmed the flames, flecks of lights illuminating their skin like constellations painted upon it. The person's eyes widened in surprise and they gasped at the tightened hold to their neck.
Khaos voice was barely a whisper, demented. “Little light-- a soul to waste. tsk. tsk. goodnight,”
Snap.

bloodyxshores·:
The presence and energy of the incoming waves of harvest-goers had finally begun to effect the vampyre. Though curious as ever about the supernatural flocking to the great birthplace, it was difficult not to feel out of place – intimidated, even – surrounded by such power. To some, she was no more than a child, and though she had well passed her natural “expiration date” as a mortal, she felt just as insignificant as she was sure she seemed to these greater creatures.
Marbrooke, however, had become her home over the past three years, and despite the recent influx of activity she felt calm along the ocean. There, she didn’t have to be quite as vigilant with her senses, still not as attuned to picking up on new species and individuals as even her husband.
The chill didn’t nip at her the way it used to in her mortal youth, and wandering alone didn’t quite bring with it the anxiety it once did, but she couldn’t help but draw her knitted layers closer to herself as she detected the stranger. Certainly it’d be more awkward if she made a wide berth around them, but she feared she would seem rude by choosing not to acknowledge them at all.… Some immortals could get prickly if you so much as looked at them the wrong way, but Vegas was nothing if not polite.
Tumblr media
                                      “Find anything good?”
.
Khaos twirled the rock the size of a large quarter around their fingers with gentle examinations. It wasn’t as beautiful up close. The shore of gray had given it some unique qualities to stand out, but not impress, unfortunately. There was a long awkward pause between the strangers for a moment. As if hinting that Khaos were going to completely ignore them, but it was simply that they had to gather their thoughts. Their gaze lingered up from the rock to the person who spoke nearby, three words, yet it broke the night like a firecracker to their ears.
“Worthless,” Khaos tossed it towards the rest, the rock ricocheted off and landed into the tide. Their voice had an edge to it whenever they spoke, a tension or anticipation even when the conversation wasn’t made to be that.
Tumblr media
“But not hopeless, I’ll find a few eventually.” Khaos might have seen this person before having been to Marbrooke many times, but they weren’t the best with remembering anyone. “This night feels a bit quiet, is that what you were seeking tonight? I’m admittingly bracing for an event which will likely exhaust me to the point of great frustration.”

godweary·:
one point eight mortals die every second. death is there for all of them. it wasn’t very hard to split his time between taking souls and wherever he was in the present, but sometimes he would lose focus and faces would become blurred. it doesn’t happen often, but when it does he doesn’t realize who he’s talking to until they speak as if they know him. as his focus comes back to being present in the book shop, so does the face in front of him and immediately do his lips tug ever more upward.
“ at least once or twice. not that you opened them. ” a pause as if he has to try hard to pluck the moment out of his memory. “ no, i believe you used them to break a few noses in pure chaos fashion. ” the godyr folds his hands on the counter and offers a welcoming nod. “ why do chores when you are a godyr ? time does not move when i am not here, ” he says matter of factly with a small smile. “ it is good to see you again. i assume you are here for the harvest, as if everyone else, yes ? ”
Tumblr media
.
“Ah, but the creation I’m gifting you doing such things. A story suddenly carrying a new secret tale with simple action,” a lingering grin comes across playful. Thoughts provoked the best of memories often forgotten by Khaos, and the reminder swirls in a special kind of energy within their chest. They glance regardless at the spines, titles hinting to new adventures or pages filled with opinions on subjects time allowed to cultivate.
“It can be quite alluring to add to the shelves little unexpected moments,” spoke woefully, tired sounding. “I see,” they responded to the time factor of the place. Khaos wasn’t one to understand; nothing was permanent in their existence, emptiness barely felt the passage of time.
“I have been here. I can only entertain myself with the shapeshifters for so long. I’m curious, aren’t you? Will you stay afterward? But if it grows boring-- hmm,” Khaos chuckles. “We’ll see.”

location: charmire timestamp: 001. welcome to estonia. featuring: thanatos starter: open
it had been at least thirty years since he’d been back. thirty years since he’d last opened up his book shop in estonia ( not that he didn’t move it around. ) and yet, not a single speck of dust. only the smell of old books. he hangs his long coat on the hanger next to the door before taking out a very thick notebook from behind the counter that contains all the sales he’s made within the last hundred years or so. ( the rest of his records are in the basement, of course. )
he starts to hum as he counts, only stopping when he hears the bell notifying him of a potential customer entering his shop. he looks up and offers a small smile before giving them a nod. “ welcome, ” his voice oddly warm for a god of death. he can sense they are no mere mortal, and so the veil lifts allowing them to see the sign that points to where all the supernatural books are. “ if you are looking for something specific, please do not hesitate to ask. ”
Tumblr media
.
Khaos’ gaze lingered above them as the nice ring from the bell sounded. It alerted the entire store of their presence, not that they minded. They weren’t here for books or tomes tonight. Long fingers grazed over the edges of shelves, catching along with labels or various bumps from different sized spines. The gentlest of pressure on the very tips of their fingers almost seemed to test the strength of such shelves, as if to delightfully wonder what would happen should it collapse.
“Can I recall you ever in all eternity finding me with a book in hand?” a weary smirk curled their lips up in the corners, barely exposing some fatigue from traveling. A welcomed, warm gaze met the other. Intense always, as if the other were the only thing in the entire space. “How do you keep such a place so clean? Captured something mystical to keep up on it or do chores ease the mind?”

H O M E | | Marbrooke
Khaos doesn’t need a lot of space when they are visiting. The backyard treehouse located in a long-time friend’s property is enough for them to call home anytime they make it into town. Lights hang from the rafters, and the windows on each wall within the main house expose the night sky in the evening. Khaos, though a being who enjoys the unraveling of order, also loves the moments of calm. Their space reflects this opposite energy in a disjointed, cozy way.

Location: Marbrooke Timeline: Leading up to the Harvest Starter: Open
This chilly weather and snow dotted grasses are distracting. Khaos wanders around the beach, looking for anything shiny. Pretty stones that reflected the light just right against gray rocks. It's reminiscent of the sky, and once more, they swallow down the feeling looking up creates. They hadn't realized their time here would be forced longer than they desired. So be it. The more they wandered such a place, the more disorder which would eventually follow.
Plus, this was everyone's home. Far from the quiet of space and the social calling couldn't be too terrible to endure. They frowned. Perhaps it would be a little bothersome having to be reminded of everyone's 'importance.' What mattered of titles? What mattered of their existence?
Boring. This would be terribly boring.
Tumblr media
Something finally caught their eye, and they crouched down to wipe the white specks from the surface of the item. They carefully examined the stone, which had a line of bright blue through it.

001. Welcome to Estonia
your character has arrived in Estonia, or the scene sets focus on their home life. As your character prepares for festivities, rituals and reconnects with old friends: try and picture who they were before the modern-day setting.
Ten Years Ago
Khaos touched their face, licked their lips, glanced up at their naked body in front of a mirror after a hot shower. It was always a bit strange to appear like this. Limiting, but deliriously freeing. They could sense the release of responsibility for the moment, and for the first time in a long while, their corporal form allowed for a smirk.
There is something eternally haunting and beautiful with nothingness. An existence that seems untouched by Chronos, less a spark of light or energy to remind them that they are a Being linked to forever. Khaos is a sleepy God that produces a dangerous tip of the scales to any Order. They are selfish about what is theirs. Their place as a primordial being can suddenly seem an afterthought when they want to pursue their interests in mortal, supernatural lands.
When their consciousness surfaces, it's filled with longing. They are a God who is perpetually alone, less the stars and planets that fill the void of space. Even still, they typically don't make time to be around others of their kind. It's been a long time since they were forced into conversation. The chaos they draw out of entities stems from this solitary part of their creation. It was inevitable they be asked to come to something important, and Khaos was looking forward to his time here.
Khaos dresses in comfortable, thin linens and grabs a long fur-lined jacket from a hook to toss on their shoulders. They walk outside; every step is delightful, distracting. Each breath is cold and tastes clean on their tongue. The sounds bring shivers to his body, dotting the tender, soft skin in dimpled goosebumps until they reach the beach.
"Do you need help moving in?"
The voice comes from someone to their left, a werewolf whose face they recognize, delightfully expressive and friendly.
Tumblr media
"Ah," Khaos peers over their shoulder to see the boxes of items they don't remember ordering. Someone must have aided, for he never entirely knows what to purchase or need while here. "It's not entirely important. It will happen eventually; who needs a schedule to things." A short pause, "thank you."
Even with the snow and brisk wind, it was obvious he should have put on shoes, but they haven't ever liked them. Feeling, touch-- was electrifying right now, and he was secretly cherishing the pain of it.
"It's never a bother." Their companion directed back towards the small, modest house tucked up into a tree. "Did you miss us?"
"I have; this is one of my favorite places in existence," the admittance surprises Khaos. Freshly here, his words aren't masked, emotions coiled verses unleashed-- well in due time. They chuckle into their hand with a weary, half-embarrassed smile that somehow still held a confident glance. "It's been a while; I want to see everyone."
"Well, you do stay away for century-long stretches. A few of us have been waiting for you regardless." The old friend grins, picking up a box and carries it towards the house—Khaos chuckles. Glancing towards the water, one of his favorite elements.
"Of course you have.” Khaos exposes the dangerous glint in his eyes, a void of darkness barely contained with in this vessel.
“It seems it's my turn to tip the scales here."

── IN THE NAME OF THE MOTHER, the high council is prepared to welcome ( khaos aka silas in alias), ( he/they ) to the harvest. we might have mistaken them as ( charles michael davis ) they're known as a ( godyr; God of Chaos ). appearances may be deceiving, with immortality being so common among the supernatural community. this being has walked the earth for ( unknown ) years, and their face reflects an age of (35). as we prepare for the harvest they have found refuge in ( marbrook ) and are noted as a (resident though its quite the stretch) they're known for ( organizing underground fights ).
— D E T A I L S -------------------------------
FULL NAME: Khaos/Chaos NICKNAMES: Silas, on Earth AGE: Unknown TIME ON EARTH: This time around, about a decade. Khaos has come to earth many times in history. This isn't his first rodeo with mortals or other supernaturals CURRENT PLACE OF RESIDENCE: Marbrook GENDER: Male on Earth, uses They/Them pronouns, but is accepting of He/Him without fault SEXUALITY: Pansexual SPECIES: Godyrs OCCUPATION: Organizes underground fighting between supernaturals, handles the money/betting, and his natural charismatic tone draws an easy crowd. Khaos feeds on the energy of the fight generated, and they get easily swept up at the moment because of it. It's euphoric anytime emotions in an intimate space are running high and make their powers/abilities stronger and effective.  FASHION: A bit chaotic at times, clothes uncaringly picked, something practical or socially appropriate. He prefers thin fabrics and loose fitted jeans. Usually found barefoot if they don't have to keep up appearances.   FAVORITE COLOR: Purple, any shade pushing into pinks.  FAVORITE FOODS/FLAVORS: Salmon, pecans, vanilla, fresh herbs, and curry
— P H Y S I C A L -------------------------------
EYE COLOR: Brown/Golden HEIGHT: 6'2" BUILD: Lean athletic SCARS + DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Their body is unnaturally perfect. No blemishes, no imperfections.
— P O W E R S  &  A B I L I T I E S (to be further explored) -------------------------------
DARKNESS/NOTHINGNESS: Khaos needs darkness for many reasons. It's a piece of them that is natural, and they thrive within it. It's not unusual to find them with the lights out while cooking or sleeping days away to spend time up at night getting chores done. Khaos doesn't have to see in total darkness to function. They are the manifestation of the void, and such restraints are overcome with sense/instinct.  ENERGY/EMPATHY: Emotions on Earth are what feed Khaos and allow them to stay in a manifested form. Especially ones that push beyond what is expected and swing on the furthest scales. Khaos only has to be near the area to absorb their energy, and they aren't limited to adrenaline, though that particular area quenches their needs the best. If they aren't careful, the people around them can also be fueled by this chaotic energy and can lose control of their emotions. This can quickly take situations out of hand, and Khaos can get lost in it, making such things extremely dangerous to their corporal form.  CREATION/LIGHT: Khaos can snuff out lights, move them, and if having fed well, can create them. Light is a companion and their greatest enemy. The yin/yang to their being, the cure to their eternal loneliness. Their consciousness expands into the vast void of space, knowing every star, every planet, and cosmos within their being, but of everything, pure starlight is a 'magic' of creation they find beautiful and untouchable. VESSEL: Being a god, Khaos' consciousness is merely contained within this vessel. It is an object required to keep healthy by eating, hydration, and injury can happen quickly enough even though Khaos can take a great deal of it. Healing takes energy and time should Khaos need to spend it on such things, and they aren’t opposed to allowing things to play out just to see how much they can handle in this form. CHARISMA: Khaos has a way with words that can seem alluring and easy to follow. They enjoy speaking, allowing their mind to have opinions, and seeing the effects it has on mortals, and other supernaturals make visiting earth all the more entertaining.
— P E R S O N A L I T Y -------------------------------
STRENGTHS: Genuine. They don't lie and are bluntly upfront about their position on things, sometimes to the detriment of people's feelings. They know what they want and usually will stick with it unless something shifts to bring about curiousness. He is a critical thinker, enjoying the game of figuring things out, especially anything challenging. Khaos is ridiculously patient, having waited hundreds of years to react to wrongs against them. Time is never an issue. WEAKNESSES: Khaos can be easily distracted. Especially if emotions are high or something unexpected happens to unfold near them. They can be forgetful of things simply because of their expansive consciousness; it's impossible to know everything. This can make them almost comically unaware in some situations where they forget another God's name or speak to someone they should already know. On bad days, they can be cold and unattached. These low swings of mood place them into a quiet, calculated, and dangerous place mentally. Khaos is not opposed to watching people die, much like when a star snuffs out of his sky.  INTELLIGENCE: Above average in most things, but socially he's lacking.   ALIGNMENT: Chaotic Neutral HOBBIES: Khaos on earth had found joy in making stained glass. Finding naturally created glass in the world and melting it into shapes, and creating trinkets that catch the light into prisms in the window is a delicate side of him a few people witness. They enjoy taking the time to find the perfect flora, or watching the sunset, or feeling the rain. Though chaos reins naturally, the order will find it's way to them, and Khaos allows things to fall into place. If only to watch it all fall apart.
