What is the most recent thing you've written or drawn? Do you like to share sneak peeks of your work, or do you prefer to post finished pieces only?

About sharing my work…

I’m a bit of a perfectionist so it takes a lot of convincing myself to post things, which is unfortunate because I never get around to polishing most of my art lol. I have some wip longerform comics and sketches about TMNT’03, ROTTMNT, and TOTK and Zelda AUs that I would like to build the courage to post sometime, even if I don’t clean up the line work.

The most recent thing I’ve drawn is a cleaned version of a comic I started back when I first beat The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

I hope to publish the this comic soonish, now that the game has had some time for people to play it and spoilers aren’t as touchy a subject. I do need to format my drawings a little better for mobile users are better able to read them though :)

Ones hands can tell the story of how they’ve lived… and how far they have come.

I’m a sucker for Good Dad Splinter ever since I watched TMNT ‘03. That rat was gifted sapience and his immediate instinct was kindness. I love that for him.

Rise Splinter lived a rollercoaster of a life, but as a Hollywood star he remembered the names of all his stunt guys and coworkers, and as a prisoner he cared for the rat that shared his cell. His sons are very close and physically affectionate, I think that says something about how he cares? That’s just how I like to headcanon him :)

It’s interesting to explore the idea that a seemingly monstrous transformation is what pushed him to be a kinder human

Sick Days 3

The unfortunate thing about getting sick in a big family is that when one person falls, the rest follow like dominoes.

My poor brother… he was always the one to get sick right after me. He’d always insist blame on whoever was sick first and grumble about it when we checked on him lol

Also you bet that if Donnie lost his voice his brothers would absolutely be teasing him about it. Someone would be all like “I feel a close kinship with frogs, we’re both amphibians” and he’d be seething in the corner typing furiously about the differences between reptiles and amphibians but no one would open their phone.

Sick Days 2

Despite how awful colds can be, it’s nice to see the little gestures of care from loved ones. My own family tended to make me tea, so I’d end up with new mugs accumulating whenever I woke up lol

I hope that anyone who’s feeling under the weather can get that care, and that you feel better soon! Well wishes :)

Sick Days

Whenever I feel sick, I pull every blanket and pillow from my room and curl up in a corner on the floor. I drew this inside of said blanket pile :(

Despite being genetically engineered magic super soldiers, I’m sure the kids have had their share of off days, what with them running around New York sewers and all. Reptiles can be pretty sensitive to environmental conditions.

According to some googling, reptiles can’t actually get fevers though as they can’t raise their own body temperature. They also don’t truly shiver, though they can simulate it voluntarily. As mutants, the boys probably aren’t purely cold blooded, and have some control over their internal temperature due to their mammalian traits.

Movie night at Aprils!

I love their friendship, in any iteration, but Rise April is definitely one of my favorites! She’s just so chill and unhinged at the same time.

The more canvas the better, right?

Turtle claws can get suuuuper long, and male Red Eared Sliders already have long claws to fight other sliders. The boys probably file their claws regularly so they don’t go walking around with daggers for hands, but it’d be pretty funny if there were times they let them get way overgrown for silly reasons, like nail painting!

As for how much each of them like to have their nails done, I have my own headcanons. Leo probably loves it since he let himself be painted entirely gold for an episode. Raph probably chips his easily, with how he patrols and works out so often. Mikey might pick his off if he needs something to do with his hands. As for Donnie, I’m projecting my own feeling about nail polish which is that I love the look of it, but at the same time I can consciously feel it on my nails weighing down my fingertips and thus it must be removed immediately.

Though, since scales are also just keratin like nails, I wonder if they’ve ever tried painting individual scales like a little mosaic on their arm or something. Neat to think about. Nail polish remover can really dry out the skin though.

Ah, Penn. I felt so bad for taking every news story from you, but also how the heck did you become a journalist.

Also rip Link. First he forgets everyone, now everyone forgets him. Guy is unrecognizable without Zelda nearby apparently lol

Penn: “Hey Partner,”

Link: “Yeah?”

Penn: “Anyone ever told you you look just like the Hero?”

Link: “Oh, sure. All the time.”

Penn: “He’s far taller than you though. Hey- Is that a Yiga!?”

Link: “Huh, it is. Would you look at that.”

Penn: “Wow, you clocked him real good! I could almost mistaken you for the real thing!”

Link: “Almost like we share more than just a name and face.”

Penn: “Well, you share a left hook like a hero for sure!”

Lone Raph and Cat! I love the big gruff one being the softest on the inside, gotta be one of my favorite tropes.

Raph in Rise seems to be pretty disliked by animals despite his love for them, which may be because he’s a bit too eager to pet them so he seems scary to such a small animal. I’m sure that, if taught to let them come to up to him first, cats would find Raph as perfect a climbing tree as his brothers do! Let him pet all the cats, he deserves it!

A real incident I witnessed amongst my roommates

The wrestling was legit and yes, one did lift the other all the way off the ground to stop them from putting their whole arm into scalding steam. Unfortunately for them, the buns were cold by the time they stopped trying to one up each other lol

Leo, for all that he might have the braincell occasionally, is absolutely dumbass enough to throw that out the window when faced with a perceived challenge. He’s drank tea straight after it’s boiled, “careful it’s hot” is a slight against his reputation! (which is nonexistent. His brothers worry for his taste buds)

First off, your art is so freaking cute. I can't even really place what I like about it, it just makes me happy to look at it. Second, I have two questions. Number one, is there a reason why sometimes you draw them with nostrils and sometimes you don't? I think it's really cute either way, but the nostrils are more realistic, 'cause you know, they have nostrils. They can smell. And it just looks so cute on them, agh. Number two, would you be fine if we redrew and/or coloured your art? Some of these panels are screaming at me. The inspiration is flowing. Stupid dumdum turtles giving me stupid dumb brain rot.

For your first question:

The reason was because I learned how to draw mostly from copying life and anatomy textbooks, so going into drawing stylized characters was a little confusing at first. I couldn’t exactly figure their expressions out, so the nose helped me visualize their snout in a 3D way! I still add it on occasion if I’m pushing their expressions to be more animalistic or grounded, the same way I sometimes add glove seams or scales on close ups. I generally stopped adding noses in every drawing as I got comfortable so I could keep a little closer to the show’s look :)

For your second question:

Of course, as long as you @ me and give the proper credit! I love seeing people get inspired and excited by my art :D and its always wonderful to see others artwork in turn! The creativity of all the artists here brings me much joy

Leo would be an absolute nightmare in card games. Boy loves magic, messing with people, and winning games no matter how many enemies he makes in the process. God forbid he ever touch a monopoly board, the Hamatos would tear each other apart lol

My older brother loves card and board games a lot, and I thought with Leo’s bits of canon characterization he would like them too! My brother and I play Spirit Island and Gloomhaven whenever we can, and it’s super fun to raise the difficulty to insane levels and still manage to beat the odds with insanely lucky card plays right when it’s down to the wire. I bet Splinter played games with them as a good way for the turtles to learn teamwork and strategy!

Rip my Halloween candy though. I was never the best at games…

Dramatic idiots lol

There is nothing worse than having to lift up the cushions of a childhood couch to find the remote, not knowing what disgusting horrors lie dormant amongst the crumbs and candy wrappers. I avoided sitting where my dad does on the sofa because, for all I love him, the man devours snacks like a wood chipper and I don’t want to even know how crumby those seams are.

Donnie has a gas mask because he absolutely does not want his nose anywhere near a cushion that so many peoples butts have been on. What are they watching? Idk maybe slime tutorials cause they’re both definitely theatre kids lol

So I decided to try this because the image was very funny to me. I tried to draw them true to the style of their respective media!

A hylian, a horse, and a human-turtle mutant step into a car. Two of them don’t know what an automobile is and the one who does can’t drive.

So backstory to this is that my roommate and best friend got a beanbag the size of a bed and it was sitting in the middle of our apartment for a while. It was extremely comfortable and I would curl up to sleep in it, but because it was so big I’d sink into the center and people wouldn’t know where I was lol. It was nice though, cause The Bean was big enough to share!

It’s nice to snuggle with friends or siblings! I love how Rise wrote the brothers to be more physically affectionate

Taco Crimes

Donnie would absolutely blow a fuse if someone ruined their books with how sacred he was to that mint condition comic, and I’m sure Mikey thinks cooking is an art. Cross either of them and it’s hell to pay!

I read a lot of book series that had been handed down to me by my siblings, but you could really tell whose they were before based on their condition. One sibling left foodstains and dog ears, another left spine breaks and ripped paperbacks, and the final would threaten my life if I so much as dented a page. Such is life with shared things

I guess you could say those books were well loved, for better or for worse lol
