There is this increasing need to phrase one's review or thoughts even before the film is over. I just finished watching Ad Astra and I was thinking "Wow. That was like a space version of Apocalypse Now. Should I go with Apocalypse Neptune or Apocalypse Nova or ApocalypSolaris for my Letterboxd review?" A simple Google search threw me down on the ground by revealing that almost everyone who watched the film connected it to Apocalypse Now. I am simply gonna leave a like without writing a review now. I am just a dumb space rock that gets smashed to smithereens by crashing voluntarily against the rocket of sanity.

Watching movies has become a chore. While watching them, my mind would waver to the shot, like how close they have kept the camera, how slowly the camera is moving, is it a steadicam or dolly track shot, how did they design the set, and all that kind of stuff. Sometimes, stuff from my life would badger me and drive me away from the plot. It is very difficult for me to finish a movie in a single sitting. Is it depression or brainrot? I'm too dumb to understand things now.

Asexuality feels like the most beautiful maze out there. A step there and a new path, filled to the brim with vines and flowers, will open up. Step in that direction, another path, paved with stones and flanked by the most Victorian of buildings, will reveal itself. The opportunity cost of taking steps in the maze feels high but adventurous and comforting at the same time.

Sometimes, I think that movie watchers, particularly in India, are just hyping up big budget movies to see them fail spectacularly, akin to witnessing the burning of Hindenburg. It's like watching a guy fill a balloon, not to see how large it gets but how long before it bursts with a bang.
