I am quite tall and it used to be something I was self conscious about, now I’m like “YEAH IM A BEAR ON TWO LEGS!! SUPPOSED TO BE TALL!”

Honestly, same, all of my kintypes are in some way feminine. I am a mermaid, which is only depicted as female, and so is my Harpy identity. And then I am also a cheetah who has maternal instincts, so that's makes another identity female. So, my entire existence is feminine.

Also, xenocis and cis+ are such cool terms, I gotta use them.

My gender identity is something that has been crossing my mind again.

My gender identity is influenced by the way catness is attributed to femininity. I'm still a woman but my identity as a woman is influenced by me being a cat and also the concept of cat. When people see me I want them to see a catwomen. I'm a mix of nekos in anime and cat women in western media.

This got me to think of my own gender term that's kinda a subsection of GenderNH

CatWoman: A gender identity that is influenced by being a cat and a woman and/or the concept of 'cat' and 'woman'

Then this got me thinking of other terms that I also feel like represent me. The terms cis+ and xenocis really stuck out to me. I made a gender flow chart to represent how these terms relate to me.

Cis+ -> xenocis -> GenderNH -> CatWoman

Thinkin about this is new for me as it's something I haven't had to think about much. I did question my gender in middle school and ik I had/have other options but I very much enjoy being a women and being referred to as one. But now it feels like some new stuff got added after discovering my species-identity. But that seems logical. What does it mean to have a gender when you aren't even human? I'm sure most nonhumans think of this eventually.

Been meaning to say this for a while, but here's a not so gentle reminder that you don't have to be skinny, white and able bodied to be part of the nonhuman community.

Racism and ableism is sadly rampant in this community and I want this blog to be safe for the beings that feel excluded! If you want to, you can interact with this post if you are or your blog is safe for: fat, POC and disabled nonhumans. I wanna show some support, even if it's just a follow or a reblog here and there.

Society would rock so much if you could be open about being alterhuman and it was just a normal thing to be. I like to fantasize about a kinder world like that.

Like we could go see mermaids perform in those tail covers (mermaid performances are a thing but imagine if it was way more common and normalized and full of actual mermaids!)

The gym could have group quadrobics sessions for different species (canine, feline, rodent .ect)

Angels could meet up at custom built “cathedral” like buildings full of pearl strands and stained glass and discuss their lives amongst humans over tea and cake.

Toy/doll/stuffed animal people could sew people sized clothes that look like doll clothes and play dress up together.

Zombies and ghosts could clean and maintain graveyards and honor the dead.

Bird folk could mix albums of their calls and wear wigs of faux feathers.

Grocery stores would sell kibble shaped snacks.

Furniture stores would sell nests and pet-style beds in person sizes.

People could publish memoirs of past lives or kin memories.

All plural people would be treated with respect and accepted as normal people too of course.

You could ask anyone if they identify as another species and they would understand it and maybe they would say they aren’t human either.

The fight against other forms of oppression will lead the way to a world safe enough to begin advocating for alterhumans. Society needs to first accept those who are queer, disabled, culturally different, neurologically different, and visually different.

I feel like I see a lot of people talking about how they wish they could like permanently become their kin species and lowkey I get it but in this current life I really just wish I could shapeshift.

I’m too human to become an animal forever but I’m too animal to be a human forever :[ I just want to be a werewolf who can shapeshift at will, so I can sleep comfortably and have a different form at will.

But alas, I cannot truly have that :’[
