Humans always complain when we wake them up every morning screaming, fly in front of their cars while they’re on the motor way, poop on their windows, run after them making noises, intimidate them on a daily basis and steal food from their kids but I can see through the act. Oh yeah, you really can’t stand us wink wink. You’d be a mess without us. SKWAWWWK COOoOoO CoOoO CAW CAW HONK HInk
You’re welcome bitch man.

yknow. it’s hard being a dog with autism that limits the things you eat.
i hate most foods, ESPECIALLY most meat.
and knowing you’re a dog, and looking at meat and longing for it, knowing it would satisfy a bone-deep hunger
and you just. Can’t. is the most frustrating thing in the world to me.

So I know this is a therian blog but I recently dug up my fictionkin journal and found some of my Dogday memories and want to share! this is kind of long so I kept it under the cut but I appreciate if people read. I suppose this could also count as headcanons if you squint :3
Catnap and Dogday (me!)
-we were the oldest. 16 or 17 maturity wise. we took the older orphans under our wings and taught them some of the darker things about real life and stuff like that
-he was semi verbal. some days would be no-word days, and id translate for him
-he would put on smoke shows for the kids. blow rings out of the red smoke and such
Picky and Bubba
-these two helped the age below Catnap and I, the 13 - 15 range
-Picky taught healthy eating and Bubba made sure their minds stayed sharp
-Bubba had a really charming reading personality, and would put on voices for all the characters, and taught the kids life lessons through the stories
-Picky was like a chef, showing the kids what you should or shouldnt eat, encouraging good habits alongside food (washing your hands before meals, brushing your teeth after)
Hoppy and Kickin
-looked after the 9 - 12 year olds, the ones in the middle of their stubborn hyper phases
-they had endless energy and constantly invented new games for us to play
-Hoppy would lead the kids in stretches while Kickin assembled an obstacle course out of anything in the playcare he could find
-seriously it always blew me away seeing how energetic they both always were. even I couldnt keep up
-made a race out of anything. "race you to the kitchen!" and "bet i could beat you to the pool!"
Bobby and Crafty
-took care of any kids under 9, though the program rarely accepted orphans younger than 5
-Bobby taught compassion, Crafty encouraged creativity. Bobby would teach the kids not to put their hands on others, not to cuss, and to share
-Crafty collected paper to make airplanes or scrapbooks. she had a seemingly endless supply of stickers and crayons, no one ever knew where she got them all
-one day Bobby had the idea to make letters to send to other branches of the factory, like the Game Station
-after that, whenever the kids had a chance, they'd draw little crayon things for Mommy or Bunzo or PJ for the workers to bring to them. at first the men insisted it wasnt their job, but Catnap told us he'd take care of it, and I'm not sure what he did but the next day we had 3 mailmen at our service!
