reminder that the idol industry is just that : an industry. k-pop idols, j-pop idols, who cares, they're all part of the same industry. one preying on lonely people with parasocial tendencies

listen i get enjoying the music and all but lusting after band members and thinking that you have a connection with them is a parasocial attraction they're engineered for. it's there to make you spend money

they're basically put through a meat grinder of training to create the perfect appealing image. strict diets, aesthetic and personal choices are all curated to make them as attractive/pure/charismatic etc as possible (with boy bands appealing generally more to young women and girl bands appealing more to working class men)

i can't help but feel sorry for stans tbh, they just fell right for it

The rating and rambling time is back!! But this time, is dedicated for one of my new likers from my first post, @avarywizard, who is the most loyal and coolest Lode Runner fan I've ever met here, so here we go!!

The name I gave to Lode Runner's lolified version: Lydia

Rating: 8/10

Physical description: She looks physically between 5 or 6 years old, and her design is partially based on Lode Runner's sprite from the Famicom/NES port of the original game, though she is not originally a space-themed bounty hunter, unlike her original male version in many of the most famous official artworks from his game iterations. Her skin is white pink-tanned, her hair is dark brunette with a bob styled haircut, which also wears a red girly headband with two ribbons on it, and her clothing consists in red long overalls, a blue long sleveed shirt and a pair of blue boots. She is also very known for being a greedy and fearless adventurer, because her only reason to saving the day is just recolleting all the gold around the levels from her own videogame. Hovewer, she can also be very motherly towards one of her best friends and "sisters" from the Søsterbund family (Parody of the defunct Brøderbund company, which was the creator of the original versions of "Lode Runner", "Spelunker", "Karateka", "Prince Of Persia", "Carmen Sandiego" and "Choplifter"), Samantha (Aka Sam, which is a lolified Spelunker expy), because the latter is infamously known not only to being cobard, but also very weak physically, unlike her other lolified videogame expy peers. She is also a close friend of Malaga and Murcia (They are actually their codenames, not their real names), a lolified Bomberman expy and a lolified Black Bomberman expy respectly, who also they are Verona (The before mentioned lolified Mario expy)'s little half-sisters, in reference about the fact that Hudson Soft was very famous for developing the Famicom/NES port of the original Lode Runner game, along with the first Bomberman game port for that same 8-bit console and thus, both Lode Runner and Bomberman themselves were the same person in that time (You know what happened later between the two IPs)

Alright! It's rating and rambling time!! For this ocassion, I chose Link himself, so here we go:

The name I gave to his lolified version: Azalea

Physical description: She looks physically between 6 and 8 years old, who also is partially inspired in Red Riding Hood (Ala Link is inspired by Peter Pan from the 1953 Disney animated movie) and the mistaked female Link from one japanese videogame magazine from 1986. Her skin is pale as snow, her hair is dark red, and she also wears a red hood, a medieval long style-dress and boots (Because she was raised in a poor household), besides to always carring with herself a basket for anything she needs (Even a single sword and a shield). She also is very known to being a stutterer, ala Link being (Not) always mute in his games (It's actually a pun between the Spanish words "Tartamuda/o" and "Mudo/a"). Between her relationships, for now, her two best friends are Verona (A lolified Mario expy) and Krystal (A lolified Kirby expy), being a reference about the fact that they are the protagonists from the three of the most famous/mainstream Nintendo IPs (Along with Pokemon itself, of course)

Proship culture is wanting antis to stop calling nsfw of fictional kids “child porn”. Just say nsfw or r34 ffs. I get it. Seeing that shit is gross. I hate it too. I had pictures taken of me as a child but I also hate it when they misuse terms like this! As many ppl have said, “porn” implies consent, which kids cannot give - and neither can fictional characters because they’re fucking fake.

The proper way to refer to fictional kids being drawn sexually? Just call it what it is. Nsfw. That drawing a random artist drew on Twitter is not comparable to an actual child who was abused and used for disgusting shit and was exploited.

"Fiction affects reality" NO! You don't get it! It's the other way around! Reality affects fiction.

The art we create is dependent on the realities we exist in and the way we read a piece is so deeply affected by where we are. The historical cultural context is how we might see the intended message, but we think Jo March is a trans man because of our current reality. Jaws didn't make us afraid of sharks, it responded to a preexisting fear.

Fun fact: Kemco also is very known for developing the Famicom, Game Boy and Game Boy Color ports for the first two Spy vs Spy games, Electrician, Dough Boy and the Kid Klown series, so Altiana could be considered as the only female main member in the retro Kemco family (Along with the 4 latter before mentioned IPs)
