I need to know something for a LMK comic I'm working on but I can't figure it out 😭

I have an idea.

An LMK Season 5 Theory:

The underworld has many reasons to hate Wukong, and Macaque and possibly even some other members of the group. Wukong has virtually eliminated the possibility of death, Macaque has died but managed to return to life, and Wukong's old traveling buddies, Pigsy, Tang and Sandy should technically all be dead but are either suffering from amnesia, reborn(which shouldn't be the case for Tang because his rebirth cycle was supposed to have ended), or simply have outrun death somehow + the amnesia or memory erasure. But most of these people are out of the Underworld kings reach, all under "protection" by the Celestial realm. Wukong, Pigsy, Tang and Sandy all TECHICHALLY immortal warriors of the celestial realm, while Macaque was raised from the dead by somebody with underworld powers, LBD, possibly with some authority there that they don't want to disrespect even after her death.

With all of this taken into consideration, the theory that one of these guys will be dragged back into the underworld is hard to believe, even with the Celestial Realm in shambles and LBD dead. So I have another possibility.

What if, due to the way he was born, Mk isn't in the "book of death" at all? And due to this, and the fact that nobody of celestial realm status(like if they attacked him the celestial realm would defend him) is protecting him, they may be curious about what he is. Possibly even hoping he could be their weapon. Or possibly just wanting him to not be able to escape death. Although I doubt that, at least one of the Kings of the Underworld seemed to have some sort of plan. A plan that involves Mk. I mean, did anybody else see the weird connection that Mk seemed to have to the fabric of reality? Immediately when the Universe was almost ripped apart, he lost his connection to his monkey form. Why? What could they be planning to do? Maybe they do want him as a weapon, or at least one of them does so that he can reshape reality in their image.

I'm scared. I just know the most traumatizing shit is going to drop at like 5 am on a Thursday 💀👍

This scene kinda scares me.

Wukong was screaming MK's name. He was frantic. I need to find the tweet but they said Wukong was ripping his way through the scroll to find Mk.

That's...insane. That's fucking insane. (I have a theory about this coming soon)

I need to know what their blood relationship is like. Subodhi said, while they came from the same rock, Mk wasn't made the same way Wukong was.

"Without question, you were not born from the stone as he was. Who or what you are, even I do not know the answer."

The fuck does that mean Subodhi?! You're telling me there's more than one way to birth someone from a rock?!

In all seriousness, Mk and Wukong's relationship in season 5 is going to mess us the fuck up. There's no way around it. It's a fact. The grass is green, the Sun is hot, and we are going to suffer. There's too much mystery around it and their relationship has been too good for too long.

It was nice while it lasted.

LMK THEORY TIME

After seeing all the theories of how mk might die in season 5 and like come back after having to give up his mortal form (hence fully becoming monkey and possibly immortal) what if he dies like this:

Mk after a long fight starts to crack and fall apart like Azure due to the overwhelming power he has putting too much strain on his mortal body.

For a few seconds it looks like he manages to piece himself back together like Azure did and everything seems fine. He walks to his friends tears in his eyes saying he's ok. And before he can finish that sentence he completely falls apart into nothing.

A burst of yellow light erupting from where mk used to be. SWK, Mei, Sandy, Moe, Tang, Pigsy, Redson, and Macaque all stand their with shocked expressions not fully processing that MK is gone.

The first person to break down is Mei, and the others follow suit. As the others cry SWK is just standing there in disbelief.

Suddenly he says in a shaky voice..

Mk..?

Another thing I hope is explained next season. What the HELL was a circlet doing on Mk's head in the pilot episode?! Anybody got any theories cuz I ain't got shit, just a whole lotta worry.

One thing I want to talk about while lmk is on the brain is what I really want to happen in season 3:

Remember how, during the last episode in the season 3 special where mk found out about his stone monkey heritage? Inwant there to be more about that, cause that’s A LOT to put in someone, especially that young (and before ya’ll say anything, I know that it’s commonly assumed that mk is around his early or mid twenties, but that’s still pretty young) and what I really want to happen is for mk to try to get an explanation out of wukong, it doesn’t have to be anything extremely tense or angsty, or even when something is on the line. Just a deep and heartfelt conversation. And I can understand if mk has some hard feelings about not being told this straight away, especially in the beginning when they were nothing more then mentor and mentee, not such close friends like they are now. And hopefully mk will, or eventually will come to understand that wukong saying “oh hey, btw i almost forgot to tell you that you were secretly a stone monkey that I had made in the mist of an existential crisis, but don’t worry!” Cause 1: mk would not believe him, and may think he’s crazy, and two: it may have been too soon, and mk wouldn’t be ready to know the truth.

I also wonder if wukong had been secretly contemplating on when to tell him, and how long he must have struggled with this. Cause as you know, A LOT happened between mk acquiring the cudgel. (aka the staff) like red son, along with princess iron fan and dbk, spider queen, lbd, and even the imprisoning scroll, and the beef between azure lion and the others. There would be no time for wukong to even think about when to tell him, much less come up with plan to tell him. I’m sure before wukong had been sucked into the scroll, he thought him failing to tell mk about his stone monkey heritage would be another one of his mistakes that he has made. And that he would once again be the most hated being known on existence. Something he must have long accepted before mk came stumbling onto flower fruit mountain.

In short: I want season 5 to be the season where there’s as little danger or misinformation as possible. And for wukong to have a fucking break for once in this season, and for him to actually have the chance to properly explain himself without the soul crushing worry of being hated and despised for even so much as existing.

I'm so distraught... I recently realized something...

MK's goal in life is to help people, to do his job as Monkey King's successor and all that, right? And what did Lady Bone Demon say to MK in the s3 special? That they both fight for what they think is right and that pursuit leads to pain...

Now if we look at season 4, we learn aaaaall about our dangerous savage animal, Harbinger MK, or Monkie MK, who's destined to bring chaos and devastation and destruction upon the world... I'm scared...

What if MK is fighting some villain and accidentally unleashes Harbinger MK upon everyone, hurting innocent people, and his friends? What does he do then? Is he destined to hurt everyone, to bring them pain???

Wukong already refused to fight Mk

So initially, Wukong had no problem fighting the curse. Whether it looked like a monster or himself, he never thought twice about attacking. Didn't give a single shit:

But when it looked like MK?

He didn't move. HIS STAFF WASN'T EVEN RAISED.

He didn't help the others deal the finishing blow.

Yes he was staying with Mk to make sure he was okay but I find it strange how his staff wasn't even in sight to protect him.

Wukong is refusing to raise his staff against Mk. Whether it's actually him or not.

Yeah I've been speculating about this too lol and that one verse from the intro keeps replaying in my head, "The power of the King rests in his hands." Why? Who gave it to him cuz it sure as hell wasn't Wukong so why did that Lady that apparently created him give him Wukong's power? I hope we do explore his purpose of existing next season and it doesn't just get brushed over. Also, note that in the video game virus episode in season 2, he writes his name down for Guardians of Knowledge and tells them it's very long. So he does have a name, it's just apparently too long to tell anyone -_- My theory is that he was originally created as a fail-safe by request of the celestial when Wukong was still very violet and murdery and when they actually managed to get Wukong to ally with them, Mk was discarded. Maybe they didn't even think that he was going to be "born" but some sort of malicious force used their magic to give him life. Likely the person behind all this, which I personally don't think is one one of the kings just because of the order of villains in the past seasons( S1:DBK, S2: Spider Queen, S3: LBD)

Theory of MK's Purpose

What if MK was created to replace the Monkey King? Wukong may have known this and decided to watch over his replacement and eventually train him.

Wukong has A LOT of regrets about his past and may feel it's best for him to go and let MK take his place in the celestial world.

MK would be against this of course but can't deny he needs help controlling his powers.

This has me wondering if this means Wukong's willingness to let MK be his successor be playing into the hands of whoever let Azure out of the scroll? Assuming they either want Wukong dead or replaced (mostlikey the former).

The hooded figure's may be the kings of the underworld and may want Wukong dead after he struck his name out of their book. If they want him replaced, than maybe MK's true name is in the book. Or if they want neither of them around then their motivation for killing MK would be the fact that he has no name to write to begin with.

I would love to hear more thaughts!

How will Mk's Monkey form be incorporated into the show when the world isn't ending? A rant.

So, I don't love how new forms have been handled after being introduced in other Lego shows. A key example of this is Lloyd's Oni form, where it hasn't been shown again and was barely shown during the Crystalized season. I'm hoping that this isn't the case for Mk's monkey form and that we hopefully actually get an entire episode dedicated to him learning how to control it. Up until now, we've seen the form appear on three occasions. First when the ink demon gets him angry, second when Azure gets him angry and scared of losing his mentor and lastly during the fight with Azure where it appears again due to fear of his mentor getting hurt. These are all very negative emotions that he's been using to summon this from, anger and fear. So my hope is that we get at least one episode where everyone takes turns trying to help him control the monkey form. With the form glitching in and out of existence every time Mk got frustrated because I still think he's rather stressed from the whole Azure situation and whatever threats may be on their way. Maybe we'll get to see another training sequence with him and Wukong, but this time ft. Monkey Mk! That'd be cool.

small theory/speculation:

so that journey of the west actually makes some sense in the context of the show, I've come up with a theory.

So in JTTW, Macaque poses at Wukong for a while and attacks Tripitaka and afterwords, when Buddha is asked by Guanjin to differentiate from them, he reveals that Wukong is the real one and Macaque is pretending to be him.

In the context of the show, this could work if Macaque tried to get rid of a percieved threat to his best friend/sworn brother by posing as him. And not wanting the same fate as his other sworn brothers or worse to happen to Macaque, Wukong tricked everyone into believing that he had killed him. After that, Macaque leaves and some villain decides to take advantage of the story Wukong had made up and either plants a memory of Wukong killing him in his head or has some sort of illusions magic to pretend to be Wukong and kill him. Creating a hatred between the friends that is maybe a part of a bigger plan? This would sort of explain why Wukong isn't surprised that Macaque is alive, since he thinks he's simply been in hiding for centuries, not dead.

Just some thoughts, and all the JTTW knowledge is from memory so correct me if I said something wrong lol

Every time I rewatch this scene, I have to scream at my screen for a good 10 minutes. DOES THIS LOOK FINE TO YOU WUKONG?? I DOESN'T LOOK FINE TO ME IT LOOKS LIKE YOUR SON IS GOING TO NEED A LIFE TIMES WORTH OF THERAPY DUE TO THIS IS HE GONNA GET IT?
