yes. niles had such a strong savior complex, like he really thought everything he did was necessary (it was NOT. he just liked excusing himself). one of the arcs I hate the most is his relationship with Slava, his entire thing with “you're extraordinary”, “I have to protect you from the world” and his entire bullshit with his “discoveries”, he was an egocentric old man lol

I hate that I'm pretty sure that Niles Caulder died beliving he was a good person. Even after all he done and everyone he hurted, deep down Niles never admited that he was the problem. Instead he keept making his speeches about forgiviness and compassion and playing the good sage old man to the end.
