Cryptid of the Day: Giant Beaver

Description: In 1808, Alexander Henry was exploring the Red River in Manitoba, Canada when he encountered a Native man who told him about a story about a giant beaver. While hunting in a canoe, the native saw a large creature that he thought was a moose, but upon closer inspection, found it to be a large beaver.

The Suanyu is a bird found in Chinese Bestiaries. The Suanyu is described as a bird with the body of a snake and it has four wings, six eyes, and three legs and it gets its name from the sound that it makes. It is said that if a Suanyu is seen by a person it is an omen and everyone in the area will become fearful of what may happen next.

Cryptid of the Day: San Pedro Beast

Description: On July 23rd, 2003, three boys claimed to have seen winged humanoids in the Chilean town of San Pedro de Atacama. They described them as beaked, black, sporting bat like wings and crested shaped heads. These creatures are often confused for another cryptid, the Arica Beast.
