Yes, rainbow capitalism is real and can be harmful. Target's approach to Pride is absolute bullshit. But in a time that I am genuinely scared to kiss my partner in public because I might get fucking shot, I'd rather sports teams and corporate twitter accounts put up a rainbow pfp and a "Happy Pride" post than do literally nothing at all.

Actor Johnathan Joss was just murdered for being gay. On the first day of pride 2025. He was best known for playing John Redcorn on King of the Hill.

I had no idea he was gay but he was married to a man named Tristan Kern de Gonzales (on valentines day 2025!)

They lived in San Antonio Texas where his family is from and he grew up. He was 59.

In Janurary 2025 his home was burned down which made news. It killed some of his beloved dogs. He didnt elaborate beyond he believed it was arson (gofundme is still up and i suggest donating to help his funeral costs and his husband

)

Now we know he and his husband had been threatened by several neighbors for being queer. They told pigs, pigs being pigs did nothing before or after it happened.

As they weeped and mourned in shock, a neighbor, Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, came out and aimed at de Gonzales…but Hoss jumped in front of the bullet and was instantly killed.

Ceja, homophobia murdering coward, tried to take off but de Gonzales had called pigs who vaguely tried to do something. He was arrested and his bail set for $200k. Or as my sister said who the fuck sets bail for a murderer?

Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny wasn't made for money. Nobody got rich off of Advice Dog. SMOSH wasn't raking in dough when they did the Mortal Kombat and Pokémon themesongs.

Everyone has slumps, and I've been in a bit of one, but that's coming to an end - I've been working on several projects, projects that I'm really excited about. Not to mention the various game jams that are happening, like the Breathless Jam 2 that JUST started.

So many of my games take place in the same universe in my head, even if they have nothing to do with each other.

As the Crow Flies, a solo game about a crow flying around a post-human world? First game in the setting.

Mectors, a game about farmers and miners with mech suits left over from the war 100 years ago that they've retrofitted as farming equipment, and also they have to protect their towns from wayward spirits? Second game.

GSXX, a game about folks on a generation ship in the middle of the Void of space, who also farm using mechs and befriend spirits.

The City Ethereal, a modern-ish game about corporations trying to use magic tech and captured spirits to rule the continent, while scrappy heroes try to save their home towns.

Sapience.exe, a work in progress about robots in a post apocalyptic future building a new civilization for themselves, while trying to figure out how to commune with the spirits, since they don't have a natural connection to them like the humans did.

Minted in Blood, another work in progress game about the Trade War (the war those mechs came from), where plucky northern heroes have to figure out how to defeat the technologically - and magically - superior southern provinces.

All the same setting in my heart. 💜

TTRPG metaplots are so interesting to me but more TTRPGs should get truly weird with their metaplots

i mean this in the gentlest way possible: you need to eat vegetables. you need to become comfortable with doing so. i do not care if you are a picky eater because of autism (hi, i used to be this person!), you need to find at least some vegetables you can eat. find a different way to prepare them. chances are you would like a vegetable you hate if you prepared it in a stew or roasted it with seasoning or included it as an ingredient in a recipe. just. please start eating better. potatoes and corn are not sufficient vegetables for a healthy diet.
