Talking is a Battlefield too.
Ah so the MCU has entered in their 'Buffy Season 6' era. Love that for them. I think The Void and Dark Willow would get along.
However, it's been nearly 20 years of the MCU and we still don't have a pool/beach episode of this anime? Weird choice.

Death is Women
OK MCU had a missed opportunity. May the comics rectify this.

Who Treated Tommy Jarvis?
In the Friday the 13th franchise Tommy Jarvis is an important character in three films, parts 4, 5, and 6.
Between 4: Final Chapter and 5: New Beginnings Tommy was receiving some serious psychiatric treatment - I think it was about 5 years, from 1984 to 1989. In that time Tommy went from boisterous, extroverted, confident, artist to a near silent, martial artist. Ok.
But then! In part 6: Jason Lives, only a year later (I think it's 1990 now), his personality is similar to what it was before.
OK I suggest his psychiatrist was the one and only Dr. Sam Loomis! This Doctor is totally unhinged and has a bad record of messing up his patients.

Maybe Jesse Was Always Freddy...
A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge is my favorite entry in the Nightmare entry. It is queer as hell and I love it.
But, it got me thinking. (To be clear this doesn't hold up, it's just a fun headcanon).
What if Jesse IS Freddy and this whole entry is taking place in Freddy's psyche? This is Freddy's Nightmare!, his own backstory.

Hammer bros?
Fix-it-Felix is to Wreck-it-Ralph as Thor is to Loki.
Destructive outcast paired with 'perfect' hammer wielding brother who everyone loves, because the 'good guy' needs someone to destroy things so he can be a hero. He's (Ralph/Loki) not bad, he's just drawn that way.

When did Loki read TS Eliot
So Loki quotes a poem by T.S. Eliot in the last episode of Loki.
And I'm left here wondering, when did Loki read T.S. Eliot?
Did he do it while studying mechanics, physics, and engineering at the TVA or before while he was on Asgard? Like, no, really, when?
And is he a fan of Midgardian poets? Are there not Asgardian poets he could have quoted? I really wanna know!

The Loki Show
I can't stop thinking about how the God of Mischief's entire 1,000+ years of life was a lie (up to Thor 2011). Imagine learning your parents took you from another planet who they were at war with. Your family, your species, your literal appearance is all a fabrication. Nothing is what you thought it was.
Worse still you were brought up on horror stories about your true people, even your true birth father. That's bound to make even the most sane, well adjusted, person snap.
Odin really was like Ed Harris' character in The Truman Show. Manipulative!

(I didn't use the pics but Joker in Harley Quinn and Loki in Ragnarok were/are actually pretty great leaders lol)

Love Conquers Worlds...?
Something about a parent who lost their child doing anything to get them (or another version of them) back... regardless of the consequences, idk it's nice.

Loki and the true power grab...
Loki really does just go around finding the nearest silver haired fox in power and 'endears' his way to a power position... ;)
You might say Loki is That Girl(tm) with daddy issues - looking for a better zaddy to accommodate his crippling self-doubt, loneliness, and abandonment issues. Good for him.

Loki's Eternal Descent
Remember in Thor: Ragnarok when Dr. Strange let Loki fall for a 30 minute sustained drop.... Do you think that triggered his memory of the drop into space from the Bifrost (from the first Thor film)?
How long did he fall then? Probably for a while before landing on Sanctuary where really who knows what happened there. Probably nothing fun or safe as the name would imply.
And everyone just continues to ignore his pain and ill treatment. Idk I just want this lil ice runt to get his dues... his dues being actual happiness.

Was It A Happy Ending Though?
So I saw this post about Loki + Odin... and I made an edit of my own. Regardless of character, I totally agree. It goes back to Robin Wood said: "the 'happy ending' (when it exists) typically signif(ies) the restoration of repression."
it also occurs to Loki and Jobu Tupaki had a lot in common. Huh.

Long, Cruel, Women in a Black Dress!
These Goth Goddesses made decades of Goths and Gays who they are. They are idols, legends, monsters, and queens!
On a side, does it bother anyone else when the 'Bride' is shown in a romantic relationship with the 'Monster'? She clearly rejected him.... so he killed her and himself (obviously I'm over simplifying James Whale's 1935 film). Let this woman be independent! Free the Bride!
I also wish I had a better name for her than 'Bride', because I really want the titular Bride to refer to Frankenstein's wife, Elizabeth.
Bride of Re-Animator kinda did this story better than James Whale though... for me.
I'm so glad all these other women got to be strong, independent, sexual, intelligent, beings. We've come a long way. But we need a modern lil goth god for the now times.
Someone post Hex Girls and Emily the Strange.
Who will rise up!?!?

Loki and the various Dictators
Ever notice Loki just keeps running into dictators.
He is the abandoned son of Laufey, stolen and raised by Odin... more or less.
He literally falls into Thanos' hands... and really... what happened there?
THEN (going in film order) fastforwarding a bit he falls again, this time to Sakaar and the Grandmaster. They totally had orgies... nice.
OR (alt ending) he is taken by the TVA to the hands of He Who Remains, the Conqueror himself.
Like, dude can not catch a break.
