Hello!! so sorry for taking literal months to respond to this 😭 i never check my tumblr inbox

these characters are part of a story that i haven’t quite pinned down yet… i’ve included some of my sketchier concept art here so you can see some of my exploration

i want the story to be about this soldier who is tasked with hunting down a mythical bear. He was given this task as punishment. essentially forced to spend the rest of his life in exile since nobody believes it to really exist.

^ similar to zuko being sent to hunt the avatar!

during one of the earlier months of their journey the group of soldiers he is leading actually finds the bear and almost all of them are wiped out

the story will hopefully follow the exiled leader and the last remaining crewman as they try together to survive and escape the bear or kill it

since the mythical creature is real i have also experimented a bit with some of the magic that could exist in this world! the comic above is one of those explorations

overall i really like this story and it’s one of those things that i keep returning to every year.. i hope it finds solid ground soon because i like these characters!

the thrawn and eli outfit drawings are digitally painted! i have a bunch of brushes that mimic traditional textures. i believe for that one i was using the jingpaint set on procreate, i hope this answers your question!
