Posting this to my contro blog because I don't feel comfortable sharing this to my main but I sort of came out to one of my friend groups and one of my friends was like "If you figure yourself out then good for you" but now another one of them is saying I should look into DRDPD/DDD {Derealization Depersonalization Disorder} and BPD first before going with system because "It's confusing" and I don't know what to think or do and I know it's valid advice but it kind of hurts being told this for some reason
I'll figure it out eventually.

Scrolling the dashboard, saw a post about plurality, checked the tags to ensure interacting was ok....Found the most jarring thing I've seen yet.
Tumblr media
[IMAGE ID: A screenshot of tumblr tags that read; #endo safe, #endogenic, #imagian, #endo system, #plural, #plural stuff, #pro endo, #non traumagenic system, #non traumagenic dni, and #non traumagenic. /End ID.]
Endogenics are literally non-traumagenic. You say pro endo in the tags but there is non-traumagenic DNI in the tags. Was this a mistake or was this fully intentional. /genuine question /not mad

System Cringe Actually Needs to Stop
I don't care if you are endogenic or traumagenic, this hurts everyone, but especially self-discovered disordered systems. People are being harassed and fake claimed for actual symptoms of DID at this point. They make fun of everything from actual jokes to diagnosed systems. It's disgusting. In r/fakedisordercringe, they will literally delete your message if you so much as attempt to defend the person with reason. You are stupid if you think all of the people on that subreddit are faking because of the bullshit reasons the posters give. Sure, some may be faking, let's say they are. What would be more beneficial to them and to their community: Berating them online for "faking" a disorder or ignoring them. If you are oh so desperate to interact with this person, there are so many other things you could do then blatantly tell them. You don't have this disorder. You are faking. And various other things. You could give them resources, ask them why they believe they have the disorder (if you are close enough, don't ask strangers this), or basically anything else.
Also, even if they were purposely faking the disorder, a random person on the internet cussing them out and telling them they aren't real isn't going to make them stop. On top of that, if someone is purposefully faking a disorder, there are bigger issues there. Most people don't just wake up one day and decide to put together an elaborate plan to convince everyone they have a disorder, especially a really heavily stigmatized one. If someone is faking a disorder, they need help, the need someone to talk to, and somewhere to be themself. Chances are they are struggling in life for other reasons, and being an asshole on the internet is not going to stop that.
Anyways there is my rant about r/systemcringe and r/fakedisordercringe! I despise both and if you post people or make fun of people on there do not talk to us.
This post was mostly created for us to get out our feelings and possibly share the feelings with others since one of our friends got posted on r/fakedisordercringe for an absolute bullshit reason and it made us go down the hell hole that fake claiming on Reddit.

[TW: Fakeclaiming and mentions of it, general reddit bullshittery, feelings of faking/self-doubt]
PSA;; r/fakedisordercringe + any other "[x disorder] cringe" subreddits are hellholes
I knew I shouldn't. I knew it was bad. But I didn't know it was gonna be this bad, man. I'm respectful of other's views and opinions, but those weren't opinions. Those were just attacks. Posts chock-full of fakeclaims, people saying what was and wasn't "valid," and just overall unbridled hate. Seeing posts not just about endogenic systems but other systems as well as various disorders, said posts talking about faking it for whatever reason made me sick. Person X being fakeclaimed for saying they have Y, when there's not even proof that they do or don't have it. System J being fakeclaimed because of their members/member count, Person A being attacked for being self-diagnosed with B, etc. While there may be people who are actually faking with full malicious intent, this subreddit is leaving me wanting to defend nearly everyone who landed on those posts, with the feeling that at least half of them are actually valid. That god-forsaken place also left me doubting my legitimacy as any kind of system, the lingering feeling of subconsciously faking literally everything creeping up on me.
I would just like to say: stay away from r/fakedisordercringe and similar subreddits. They'll most likely leave you fakeclaiming yourself, especially if you're already in doubt or questioning. Whether you're(&) a system, someone with a self-diagnosed disorder, or someone with a professionally diagnosed disorder, please stay away from those types of subreddits. Those places are hell.

You do not know how long I've been waiting to speak up about this as someone who lives under the USA's hEAlthcare system and under someone who doesn't take mental health seriously and as a result isn't able to even speak to a cheap online therapist, let alone get a professional medical diagnosis for anything, physical or mental and has no choice but to do extensive research and stupid online assessments
Still not gonna self-dx with any dissociative disorders, though
Also, I'm looking over this and noticing I spelled environment wrong in the comic :|
———–-•-–———
[ID: A two panel, poorly drawn black and white comic.
The first panel has a person wagging their finger dismissively with a stern expression on their face. The person says, "You shouldn't self-diagnose, it's bad! Go get an official diagnosis by a professional!"
The second and last panel has a person leaning on something, presumably the bottom border of the comic, as their hand is in the air and they have an annoyed, sarcastic expression on their face. They say, "Why, yes, because yea, everyone who self-diagnoses is in a position to see a medical expert..! They clearly have the finances for it! They're clearly in an enviro[n]ment that isn't ablest or anything!"
End ID.]
