...the Darach never actually finished her healers circle of sacrifices.
She got her three virgins - Heather, Emily, purity ring guy.
She got her three warriors - Kyle the dog owner, that music class teacher, Adrian Harris.
She got her three philosophers - Deputy Tara, that history teacher, the musician during the concert.
She got taken out before she could kill our three guardians.
But before the philosophers. The healers. She got the ER doctor who wasn't showing up for the shift and she then got that doctor's fill-in... and then she took Deaton, but Deaton was saved by Noah. And she never killed a different third healer. Why would she move on to the next circle without actually finishing this one.
I remain of the opinion that Jennifer was unnecessary and that Deaton should have been the Darach from the get-go, it would have been fully on track after s1 and s2 and the fact that he was taken as a healer but oh no wait he totally had enough time to call Scott first before being abducted and look, he is all alone and unguarded in the bank vault, fully alive and unharmed, to be conveniently saved and to never be replaced as a victim? It would have tracked so well as Deaton trying to cover up the tracks.
I know these are technically two different thoughts, but the fact that Deaton was a supposed sacrifice and was never replaced just makes him look all the more suspicious to me.

we were talking about the criminalization of homosexuality in class and my professor (who as far as i know isn't in any way queer) said something i quite enjoyed in that. well the exchange was more or less this: a student asked a question (doesn't really matter what exactly just know that i was rolling my eyes So hard internally) and the prof looked at the student and was like (i'm paraphrasing here this conversation was not in english) Do you have any queer friends? and the student went Uhhhh in a manner that made it clear the answer was probably no and the prof said Actually statistically speaking you most likely do. If I had to divide this room into two groups the way to do it would not be "people with queer friends" and "people without queer friends" it would be "people whose queer friends are out to them" and "people whose queer friends aren't". And if you're in the latter category you should consider why that is--if maybe your behavior is indicating to the queer people around you that you're not safe to come out to. to come back to your question if you really want to know about queerness there's a very simple way of doing that: you make yourself a person queer people feel comfortable talking to about their experiences and then you fucking listen to them when they do (the fuck is not paraphrased) (there was a fuck involved) (frankly king shit)

Progress isn’t free.
It costs you comfort. It costs you ease.
Sometimes, it costs you sleep, peace, or people.
But pain is proof you're evolving—growing beyond who you were.
The price of progress is pain. Pay it proudly.

My office divvies up part of our caseload alphabetically, and one of our secretaries just sent me a new file that's not in my part of the alphabet. Because I'm so very helpful I responded:
Moments later, the printer in my office fired up and spit out this piece of paper:

with my school teachers it was like “omg they’re so cool i wanna be their friend!” but with university lecturers it’s like “they’re endearing and i love them like cats but are they okay because i think they know too much about 18th century german literature to survive in the world”
