I just think it’s funny how I have only two Kintypes and they are each like

Felling dysphoric because I don’t like the food I liked in my source

I’ve been seeing a lot of tiktoks lately about ‘fake therians choosing their theriotype’

But we shouldn’t jump to conclusions with everyone.

You might see a MLP fan say they’re a pony therian.

You might see a furry who’s theriotype is the same animal as their fursona.

You might see someone with the very common wolf theriotype.

To use myself as an example, you might see an autistic with a special interest of the lion king be a lion therian.

Some see these types of therians and think ‘they’re not a real therian, they just have a favourite animal.’

But to me, my lifelong attachment to lions was the most telling sign that I am one.

Random thought - but a long time ago we talked to a black cat therian who experienced what they called "art style dysphoria".

Basically, they are a black cat but they envision themselves in a particular, cartoonish art style. And they feel as if they should appear that way and exist in a world with that cartoony style.

I thought that was really interesting- we've never really encountered anyone who described feeling dysphoria specifically over not having a cartoonish appearance. Does anyone else experience this ? Just out of curiosity!

I miss my old body

I miss waking up every morning and not feeling tired or gross

I miss having energy and confidence in my walk

I miss the ability to easily make friends because I wasn’t thinking about my body so much

I miss feeling like the main character and not just a flaw
