Pete grows up to be a Lacrosse coach for middle schoolers post high school! He’s probably like a Gym teacher. (Side note: I actually think it’s so cute Pete ends up dating Heather at the end of Remotes, he goes for the shy nice girl that didn’t do anything wrong. In season two we see him surrounded by girls again so they probs broke up but still)

Pete has a single mom (becauseifuckingsaidsolmao)

Stacy Monique has a cousin who’s a freshman and on the soccer team, guys in her clique def hit on her cousin bc they know Stacy will never be offical with any of them lmao

Shawna def dumps Dave two weeks before graduation and he has a meltdown over it

This next one is about Wendy (the second FroYo girl in Frenched) so like. Kevin is super anxious about going back to work after using Wendy to make Abby jealous and dumping her while she was in the sky. He wants so say sorry because even if he was never into her he feels bad and wants to be civil at work so he gets all this courage, maybe even asks Harold to help create an apology, and when he goes to her she’s like. Fine. She’s not even mad about it and tells him it’s cool (she also might be having a brief thing with Chip now lmao)

Beth’s natural hair color is dirty blonde- Idk why I think this 😭😂 it’s obviously always dyed (since she was a child as we learn in A Stronger O’Grady!!!) and blonde hair is easier to color.

BUUUUUT she totally hates it- Beth does not like her natural color she says she doesn’t “feel like a blonde” Kevin mockingly calls her Barbie sometimes bc he knows it pisses her off (Bc as we know Kevin rips on his friends to show affection)

Harold’s parents are high school sweethearts and they were Prom king and queen- This is lowkey canon already bc in No Pain, No Gain it’s mentioned Harold’s dad got with his mom in high school bc he stole her from O’Grady’s current football coach. We also know Harold’s dad constantly judges him for not being a football player so whether the guys are over they’re constantly flexing their yearbook pictures lmao

Kevin’s brothers are named Mark, Anthony, Nick, Josh, Cole, Aaron, and Randy (well we already knew abt Randy) IDK WHY THIS IS JUST MY HC also his mom’s name is Lorraine (and we know his dad’s name is Chuck lmao)

Kevin grew his hair long because when he was really little Mark and Anthony used to make fun of him for having “big ears” so he grew it out to hide them- obviously he just likes having long hair now and it’s not to cover his ears but he was always insecure about them (I could go on about Kevin’s horrible home life-)

Abby and Kevin Relationship HCs: High School

Imma be posting a bunch of hcs (their relationship in college, engagement, wedding, pregnancy, kids, etc) and those will be fics soon too but let’s start at the beginning:

They start dating senior year- I’m pretty sure Kevin and the gang are juniors during the events of O’Grady. As many of us also know (this will def be another rant post bc I have A LOT of feelings on the subject) Frenched was the last episode of the show to get made but got aired first thing season two. This is weird bc it causes a lot of plot holes (like it’s summer break but the very next episode is spring break?!?) so when I rewatch it’s the last episode I go to bc I’m positive that was supposed to be the season finale. ANYWAYSSSS the night Abby gets back from France she and Kevin talk for a longggg time and finally confront their feelings. (They keep in touch over the summer but they never have a real talk on their relationship, but they both know of each other’s feelings.)

Neither Beth or Harold are surprised- Kevin and Abby have this huge plan to tell their friends at Eats Pizza and when they do the two are like. “It’s about damn time” XD both had always known and even shipped them together.

They’re still. Them.- Yes, they’re lovey dovey, but they still bicker all the time. And over the dumbest stuff sometimes. One day Beth whispers to Harold “Ya know, I thought we’d have to get used to a new version of them, but it’s like nothing changed- except now they’re honest about being in love.”

Kevin still calls Abby “princess”- But it’s not an insult anymore, it’s a pet name.

Abby calls him “jackass” sometimes still, but it’s as a joke- Her main pet name for him is “Kevy”, he blushes everytime she says it.

They use pet names a lot in general- mutually there’s baby, babe, love, sweetheart, etc it takes Beth a minute to get used to hearing but Harold thinks it’s the sweetest thing ever.

Kevin is OVERPROTECTIVEEEEE- If he hears Brooke talking shit in the hallway? Or some sophomore stares at Abby for more than a second? Hell, a teacher gives her amazing essay a B+ opposed to an A? This boy raises absolute hell. He does NOT play about his gf and the whole school knows it. (Abby has to tell him not to get his ass suspended, but secretly she loves it)

Abby still has to reassure Kevin sometimes- She’s waaayyyy over Pete Klesko, (who couldn’t even remember her name) but no matter how good things are, Kevin remembers Abby had a massive crush on the guy since like 8th grade. He’s the most popular guy in school who girls have dumped their boyfriends for, so sometimes Kevin worries even for a split second that if Pete chose to remember Abby’s name one day- it’d be over for him. (Though he knows how loved he is and the rational part of him is aware that’s an intrusive thought) Abby will cup his face, look him dead in the eye, and say “You. Knock. That. Bullshit. Off. Right. Now.”

Abby wears Kevin’s sweatshirts, but still finds a way to style them- He’ll be like “Why are you making my clothes so girly, that defeats the purpose?!? (He loves it though)

They’re into PDA- Throughout 9th-11th grade, Kevin used to make fun of couples that were “all over each other” in the halls (some of which were only holding hands) and now he’s always got his arm around Abby’s shoulders, playing with her hair, hugging her from behind, etc. Abby always kisses his cheekbones and nuzzles into his neck, she also likes booping his nose.

Dave and Kevin fight over who loves their gf more- Ooooh, these two get into it. Trying to upstage each other’s hoco/ promposals, the entire week of Valentines Day was a battle in glitter and chocolate, etc. Dave will be like “Shawna and I have been an item since freshman year, we have something no one else at this school does!!!” And Kevin will be like “Oh that would mean so much if you didn’t break up once a month!” He’ll also bring up the time Dave cheated to be extra petty 😝 (Dave mentions Kevin told Abby her mole was the size of Antarctica and that stars a whole other fight)

Kevin’s older brothers call him a simp 24/7- How he makes Harold get up early to drive to the gas station to get Abby’s favorite coffee, when he leaves the house in the middle of the night if she has a bad dream, etc. Kevin smugly reminds them all that he’s in high school yet he’s the first brother to have a healthy relationship (and eventually becomes the first one to get married 🤩)

They do break up at one point- This is high school, there is drama. Abby and Kevin’s relationship is never perfect- Abby is always riding Kevin’s ass on his grades, Kevin is constantly comparing himself to Pete, and the weirdness def does something one day that interferes with their relationship. Just overall, despite being so happy, Kevin still has some maturing to do and Abby needs to loosen up. They’re off for two months, and it’s awkward at first but the group gets through it, but the two obviously still have feelings for each other. Beth desperately wants them to work it out but Harold is scared if they broke up again it could hurt the group. The two get back together (a week before Valentine’s Day) and try to understand where things went wrong so it can work this time.

They balance each other out- This is a main reason I love them so much. Abby makes Kevin want to slack less and actually do something with his life (and not end up a failure like most of his brothers) and Kevin reminds Abby to let herself go and not try to be perfect all the time. They both bring out a different side to each other and I think it’s something that’s good for them for the rest of their lives.

Beth’s mom is extremely judgmental- as we saw in Party Gong, it’s heavily implied Beth’s mom is not a Kevin fan. When she learns Abby is going out with him, she calls Mrs.Wilde, lectures Abby herself on “those kind of boys”, etc- none the less, Beth defends their relationship till she’s blue in the face, “THEY’VE BEEN IN LOVE SINCE FOREVER MOM, YOU DON’T GET IT”

Whenever they argue, Beth and Harold act like children- They constantly call the two “mom and dad” as a joke, so when they’re even bickering in the slightest Harold will make a dramatic play scream. One time Beth mentioned that she didn’t want her parents to “divorce again”. That joke was too soon.

There’s a secret journal- They’ve planned their wedding. They’ve named their children. Decorated their house. Named their cat. Know what cat they want. They have a plan. Because Kevin knows Abby is the one. Abby knows Kevin is the one. This isn’t just puppy love amongst teens. Both know they won’t find this kind of relationship with anyone else and are determined to make it work (even when they broke up, both secretly knew it was for the grander scheme of things- personal growth to improve the relationship, even if neither would admit such.) And they’re proven correct when they indeed get married six years later 🥹

I haven't watched all of O'grady (I have to though!) but I am really happy this blog exists. The first episode of this show I watched is the one where they all get clones and I fell in love with Kevin and Abby's dynamic instantly. Ships that involve two characters that banter and argue often but secretly like each other are just my favorite hehe

Okay I was watching Bubbleheads earlier and tbh the ending is lowkey sad 😭

Like, when Kevin realizes the whole gang will be at the concert except Abby and she’ll be on a date with Pete Klesko (who can’t remember her name and charged her for his ticket opposed to gifting it. Not saying that makes him an ass, but it shows he isn’t interested in her) and he seems bummed out for the most part.

He was the most excited for this concert, it’s obvious. Kevin seemed to be the biggest fan and he knew their music most. And when the big night finally came he was upset bc the girl he had feelings for wasn’t there and instead out with her crush who wouldn’t care if he ever saw her again.
