It’s been a while since I posted a pokemon trainer OC. This one belongs to one of my friends! She’s a registered shiny hunter. That Arceus she has? Legitimate shiny. One of the coolest folks I know, for sure.

She has access to a ton of Pokemon, and she can get you any shiny you want if you have something good to trade for it. I translated this to her character by making her a wanted pokemon smuggler. (Not an evil one, she just does not agree with Dexit and is not afraid to show it.)

I really do not know when the Abbie Rivals of Aether mod is set to release. I mean, it’s been a long time since you announced that you were working on the mod.

Mods take a while to complete! My first mod I started in October, and I didn’t finish till the start of March. Since I’m working solo, it’s gonna take a bit for me to finish. But rest assured, I’m working on it almost every day!

What is Luca and Kieran's relationship as the time goes on? They must've been like a shy duo at the beginning and then afterwords the latter must've gave creeps to the former...

You’re definitely right about them being close in the beginning. Luca was very happy to find someone closer to himself both age and personality-wise; even though he wouldn’t give up the Paldean friend crew for the world, they could be a little bit much for him at times. Kieran was much more his speed, so for the first few days in Kitakami they were peas in a pod. They even both had Dipplin!

But before I delve into what happens to them, I should bring up some interesting facts about Luca. Namely, his relationship and feelings towards Legendary Pokemon. Throughout his journey in Paldea, Luca has encountered his fair share of powerful mons, between the Titan Pokemon and the Treasures of Ruin, and excluding two of them, most of them have been pretty negative experiences. The worst of it was the entire Area Zero Ordeal. Things didn’t go as smoothly as they did in the games, resulting in a lot of Luca’s friends and Pokémon getting very badly injured and the kid himself almost getting killed. As a result, Luca has developed a pretty strong phobia of most legendary Pokemon. He’d be happy never having to encounter one again. Unfortunately, his natural affinity with Pokemon kind of screws him over here.

Now, let’s get back to Kitakami! Like in game, Luca met Ogrepon during the festival and was pressured by Carmine to keep it a secret from Kieran. The following experience was a pretty awful for Luca; not only was he once again dealing with a bunch of legendary Pokemon (some of which that literally ROSE FROM THE DEAD in front of him), but he also had to deal with the pressure and guilt about keeping Ogrepon’s existence a secret from one of his closest friends. When Kieran finally found out the details, it was hard to say which of them felt worse about the whole situation.

And then, just when things seemed to be getting better, Ogrepon decides it wants to go with Luca. Even though Ogrepon may be one of the nicest and sweetest legendaries Luca had ever met, he still wasn’t quite comfortable with it, and was ready to just outright try and decline. However, Kieran took things personally and started pressuring the issue. One tense battle later, and Luca had lost one of his closest friends to date and became the unwilling trainer of yet another Pokemon of myth. Hooray!

Despite Kieran’s obvious antagonism towards the end, Luca ultimately blames no one but himself for what happened. He returned from that school trip pretty miserable…

(Things continue in BB Academy, but that gets a lot more complicated with the League Club members and stuff. I may write that later, for now we’ll leave it on a cliffhanger! ;] )

(Couldn’t include all of his Pokemon, unfortunately, but I tried to include the star players. Sorry, Cheeks the Pachirisu. Maybe next time.)

Some notes about Luca and his team:

- He’s the youngest of his Paldea friend group, and is tied with Kieran as the youngest in the BB Academy group.

- Between Koraidon, Terapagos, the ruinous quartet, and even Ogrepon to a lesser extent, Luca has been exposed to way too many legendaries for his liking. After nearly losing his life to some and almost losing his friends to others, he’s developed an innate phobia towards most legendary Pokemon.

- Honey Butter was his very first Pokemon. Luca found him when he was a just a shiny Applin in his aunt’s orchard. He evolved into a Dipplin when his aunt bought fancy apples from other regions, which also led to him gaining his nickname.

- Kita Kita was originally a pest on the orchard. Joltik and Galvantula aren’t native to Paldea, so it wasn’t allowed to be left free. Luckily, the small bug took a liking to Luca, so she became his second team member.

- Gnawful was Luca’s third teammate, but was technically his first official Pokemon. Kids aren’t allowed to train Pokemon until they’re old enough, so Honey Butter and Kita Kita didn’t belong to Luca until after he was given his first partner and the go ahead to be a trainer.

- Bubbles is an extremely cuddly Pokemon, and likes to give full body hugs to both her trainer and her teammates. Kita Kita does not respond well to this, and tries to shock her out of aggravation. Good thing she’s a ground type.

- Ziggity is a shiny Farigiraf, and not the only one Luca owns. In fact, the other one is actually her twin brother named Zaggity, who has a calmer demeanor and prefers not to battle. In comparison, Ziggity is a troll and a menace.

- Luna has excessive energy within her, and as such can have trouble controlling her Meteor Beam attacks. She will sometimes do it unprompted, almost like an uncontrollable sneeze, which can cause a lot of devastation if not handled correctly. Luca trained her to fire the beam into the sky.

Happy Pokemon Day!

Hello, folks! I’m ClemenTime, and I like drawing whatever! Hoping to try and post at least every other day, so stay tuned.

Today’s serving of whatever is two humanizations of my Pokemon for the SV DLC, Honey Butter the Hydrapple and Kita Kita the Galvantula!

Honey Butter is my ace Pokémon, and kind of acted as my pseudo-starter for the DLC. He goes Tera Steel so often he may as well be a Steel type (hence the mecha angle). I’ve always seen him as the quiet, dependable type; capable on his own and happy to lend his expertise where he can.

Kita Kita is my lead Pokemon for most battles. Sticky Web into Compound Eyes Thunder spam is her bread and butter, and having energy ball to handle any pesky Ground types is pretty handy too! She’s energetic and reckless, but nobody can deny that she’s got spirit.
