Idk. I'm just nuts for this AU and also decided to figure out why the other sprites were crunchy, realized I couldn't fix it without redoing everything, and redid a bit of the work for a test. But hey! It works! Now I can get the sprites more accurate later + I know how to do this properly!

and then cue the training montage with undyne as she (probably unsuccessfully) tries to teach them how to fly-

gave 'em a bit of an update! mostly just adding/adjusting small details, but since i'm gonna be updating bird clover's ref to fit their retcon, might as well give star clover this, if only for the slightly improved art.

(speaking of which, i may or may not need help with giving bird clover a fitting alt outfit... maybe... can you tell i dont know how to do outfit design XD )

if they remembered those past runs they probably would just shoot her. unless that were to happen a long ass time after da surprise adoption. but that begs the question of what would trigger those memories at that point.

yeah felt like undyne would be the best choice without making an oc/just generally making shit up. like god damn, i think starlo is the only one in the uty main cast who we see has living relatives. (i think i heard somewhere that martlet was planned to have a sister character, but like... that gurly was scrapped, doesnt count)

there is going to be some level of concern for the borb. especially because despite being a bird, they can't fly. or more accurately, they don't know how to. they're probably around the age where they should be able to at least get off the ground consistently, so that's gonna bring up some questions...

and also, yeah, it's gonna take a while for clover to warm up to undyne... especially with all the anti-human things she says... safe to say that this clover is going to take even longer to do an identity reveal here...

yeah uh so all two people here might've noticed how borb clover hasn't been used much... yeah i've been having more fun with star kid clover. part of might be the blatant favoritism for starlo and most things related to him, but honestly, the star child scenario is just more fun for me to mess around with.

honestly, bird clover was really only made and used bc the original tumblr thread pointed out the thematic irony of them looking like martlet, and i kinda felt obligated to go with that at least a little. but yeah, it kinda doesn't make much sense for starlo's parents to adopt birb clover, and having bird clover at the sunnyside farm meant that anything bird clover could do there, star clover could do better.

so retcon time! dunno if i'm gonna actually go with momdyne, might retcon this bit again, but this should be more fun to mess with, and make bird clover and star clover have some differences in their "stories", as much actual "story" as these aus have anyways.
